Royal Marines from 43 Commando have been sharpening their close-quarter combat skills at the Police Scotland Training College in Jackton. The unit, which leads the security of the UK's nuclear submarine fleet in Scotland, is shifting training closer to home due to lockdown restrictions - taking on challenges door-to-door, one building at a time.

Crazy world we live in when there is a warning sign at the start of a video that shows soldiers training with BB pellets
Not bb- simunition
They are actually training munitions they are the same as real ammo apart from the projectile is made of plastic and they have a low amount of powder charge.
CrackMonkey yeah I know, I’ve used them. End of the day they are glorified BB pellets, simple as.
Cdo Nelson its more like paintball, as its paint that comes out not plastic.
Good Stuff - would be interesting to know if the Police forces did any cross training with the RM whilst they were there?
Yeah, Police take care of the guys with the knives and the Marines take the guys with the guns, perfect metaphor for combined arms lol

I think they meant the soldiers getting shot with bbs and falling to the ground lmao
Simunition
Have they adopted new rifles? Was under the impression they used the SA80?
Yes they r adopting new high tech because of the future cammando force changes and they are also being put into small 16 man teams like special forces
Standard Royal Marines used the SA80 but it was announced the other week about the ‘New Royal Marine” - which is a bit special forces like - now use this carbine. Royal Marines and Paras and maybe even infantry could use the L119A2 (which is a Canadian carbine) for more compact or ‘quicker’ ops e.g. air assault or breach and clearing. This is mainly because even though the SA80 is a brilliant rifle with good stopping power and accuracy, for these scenarios, if possible you want something lighter, easier to handle, higher fire rate etc.

That's not quite true, almost but not quite
how come the Royal Marines aren't using the L85A2 as their primary weapon ? ( and not a flash-bang in sight )

Interesting tactics, they do things different than we do in the US.

Why are they using a shield and not flash bangs etc?
@@Robertsmith001 I'm not sure about the flash bangs, I found it odd how the were using the shield, additionally how the members entered the rooms, it was slow and clumsy. How come they using an M4 platform?
Tommy Wiseau Actually, what you're seeing is the Colt-Canada C8 Dimaco carbine; a custom M4 derivative carbine with more modularity for attachments and slightly greater maneuverability and recoil management, due to polymer and alloys used in construction.
Their using a mid-length, Dimaco C8 carbine, an M-4 platform derivative that is relatively lightweight and has excellent handling characteristics. This, in conjunction with the fact that it has an excellent recoil spring buffer as well as a reasonably short, but high quality, coldhammer-forged barrel, means that it can effectively be employed in both close-quarter, as well as, and-out-to mid-range engagement distances.
@eLKy 15 It's not an M4, it's a C8 designated as L119 for the UK market. These are made by Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco), not Colt USA. They aren't made in the US but Canada.
Very hattish

"In fact if I take your statement above completely literally, it would be better if we gave it to every single country on this planet so that nobody would want to go to war. World peace."
