I’ve been playing this on a loop for days….. Life’s hard right now, it’s been hard before, I find somekind of solace in this.
Year after year I find my way back to this track.
Such a good song I got “icarus instinct” tattooed on my foot a few years back.
I purchased "Yesterdays Futures" after having this track on repeat for like a month. What a masterpiece the album is, absolutely breath taking and I am grateful to the artists for their time and dedication to bringing it to our ears. Its not very often that I hear albums that I know I will bump until the day that I die, but this is one of them. If the artists are reading the comments section then I would just like to say, Thank you Mr Key, thank you Greenwood Sharps and thank you HighFocus. A peach of an album.

mr key makes the most breathtaking music. Greenwood sharps and Key goes together like .... i cant even fucking explain it. water and sound. heat and fire. air and wind. they are the fucking creators of several universes. theese guys music has taken me to places you cannot fuckin imagine, left me even cryin a couple times cus of the beauty in the lyricism and the production. every human on this earth has to listen to this album...... its a lifechanging experience. i soooo want to sit down and talk with this guy. he changed me. keep doing what your doing Mr key to the universe! peace

I bought the album on its debut and have had it on heavy rotation ever since. Greenwood Sharps creates some amazing soundscapes for Mr. Key to flow over, and Key kills it as usual. Much respect.

It's sick to see so much skating in hip-hop nowadays.
Sagging Irresponsibly Old skate vids introduced me to loads of underground hiphop... 'Shorties - Fulfill the Dream', for example... Hiphop and skating go hand in hand.
Yeah of course there's always been hip-hop in skate videos, I just meant it's sick that so many hip-hop videos now have skating in them

Chill track with a great vid. Love the mix between urban and rural. Anyone who skates knows that sketchy feeling when going too fast downhill and trying to scrub speed. This vid brought back that feeling.

For those who don't know.
Icarus was a boy in Greek mythology that flew towards the sun until his feathers, that his engineer prodigy father made so they could escape prison, melt and died from the fall.
Icarus insticnt....forget where the roots run deep and get yor wings clipped.......also the name of the spaceship in sunshine
There is a sea and an island in Greece named after him where the myth has it he fell.
Just adding some precisions. The feather idea came from his father to escape from the giant maze they were lost in. But once in the air, Icarus was amazed by the sun and began to flight closer and closer to it. Because of the heat the glue melted down and the feathers went off, leaving Icaruse trapped by his own curiosity.

Every year Athens paid tribute to the king of Crete, Minos. They would send a few young people as sacrifice to the Minotaur, son of Minos and half human, half bull, who was trapped in the Labyrinth Icarus's father built(O:). Theseus, son of Aegeus wanted to end this and went himself to face the Minotaur. (thesseah in greek means sacrifice).
He beat him and returned to Athens but he had forgotten to change from black sails. Aegeus, waiting for his son above the sea, took it as a sign that Theseus is dead and threw himself in the rocky waters.
They gave his name to the sea, Aegean. South east of the Aegean is Icaria island and the Icarian sea.
