Note: I did my best to minimize the kids' noise in this video. If it's still distracting, you can watch the improved version here: ruclips.net/video/X3Zs7AUIMqI/видео.html. Or you can skip the noisy part (9:30-11:30). 😊
Imagine shelling out for excellence class and someone’s toddlers roaming around. It is an awesome trip and well worth it otherwise. Beautiful scenery excellent service top notch.
Zermatt to St. Moritz, take local trains. 1st cl tickets. Stop along the way and take in the sights. Far more interesting and less costly. (The Cheap Traveler)
The kids were pretty well behaved. After 8 hours not being able to play etc, they were a bit noisy and restless, but can you really blame them, they are children.
Even in excellence class there appears to be no way of getting away from noisy kids. It should be adults only in theses carriages ! Unfortunately, it sounded like loud obnoxious American kids at that. I wonder how the journey makes money as it appeared there was only 1 person in 1st class and nobody in 2nd class.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊 The Glacier Express is indeed a family-friendly train, welcoming guests of all ages. I chose to film in empty carriages to respect the privacy of other passengers and to focus on showcasing the train's features. Hope you still enjoyed the video!
Obviously, there should be a playground car for kids in a family-friendly train. As we can hear, that noise just won`t do - with the prices charged. Who takes kids to play in a fine-dining restaurant? Very inconsiderate, American does come to mind, sorry.
I would have spoken very plainly to whoever was in charge of those obnoxious NOISY children------- and then written to the Glacier express company. Unacceptable.

You'd think they wouldn't allow children in that section of the train.
Thank you! Unsupervised, undisciplined children are so annoying...
Beautiful video thanks for posting always a!WOW!
Love the children. They are our future.

@@The_Luxury_Traveler genial! Hahahaha saludos
Should definitely be an age requirement in excellence class!

So I went to check the price and was shocked at how bad the UX of their website was. It looks weird for a product of that quality and price.
Noisy kids for an 8 hour luxury train ride would have completely ruined the experience. That was excruciating.
You know how far you had to reach back for the introductory music????
Haha, I didn't know, but I did want to add a classic and nostalgic touch. 😄
Hi Luxury Traveler. May I know what did you travel to Zermatt and St Moritz? I am planning a March travel. Thank you.
Are you asking how I traveled to Zermatt? I took the SBB, which is accessible throughout Switzerland. :)
oops, missing word. May I know the month you travelled? thanks
@@bmacavanza193 I traveled in March. Hope it helps. :)
@@The_Luxury_Traveler ; Yes. Thank you again. We are planning a travel month in March.
Don't understand why the United States does not have modern luxury public transportation.
I want to ask the very same question!
If you are vegetarian, do you skip this experience?
Not at all! The Glacier Express offers vegetarian meal options, so you can still enjoy the full experience with amazing views and delicious food. 😊
Those kids are ridiculously loud.
not beavers but marmots. 😉
Glacier fed water tastes very bland because of the lack of minerals.

Left handed lol looks weird slicing the steak…
Actually, I was using my right hand to slice the steak. I horizontally flipped the video to make it flow more naturally. 😉
