It’s rare to see Luigi not at lightning speed! He is so beautiful and sweet! When I’ve been sick, the first thing I do (after shower, shampoo, teeth and leg wax) is straighten up my house. It’s often all I can do the first day out of bed, for about two or three hours up, but it makes me feel so much better, especially changing my sheets.
Also, I love your ‘got a fever shopping list’. Mine consisted of tins of soup and two raspberry trifles. Had no recollection of ordering same. Actually quite a nice diet for a week!
I *really* admire the collected, poised way you're dealing with your illness. So typical of you. Also, your freckles are looking lovely and your playlist was great. You seem like such a sweetie. Thanks for updating us.
Hey! Glad you are feeling better. Saw you mentioned you had covid on Instagram a few days back and I found myself wondering “I wonder how Lizzy is doing?” the other day. Just goes to show how imaginary internet friends are not so imaginary. Thanks for being a chill and calming presence throughout this pandemic. The music and book recommendations are always on point! Really appreciate that.
In spite of being ill you still managed to make me laugh! Hope you are feeling better by now, you defiantly showed improvement by the end of this vlog, it must have felt awful being ill with Covid. Please take care of yourself. X
I know this is a small detail of the much larger deal of getting COVID, but ... funny b/c I too just switched from Aperol to Campari and soda. I'm in my own universe so I'm always excited if I align with someone like you. :) Feel better soon! You are my FAVORITE youtuber and I'm always excited when you upload. I'm so glad you're okay! Here in LA everyone I know got vaccinated a long time ago and now with Delta virus circulating we have to wear masks inside stores again, but not outside. I feel like life hasn't really fully started back up again since the pandemic and everyone seems a bit scared and older, not fearlessly socializing especially not in groups or inside, but I'm also a good chunk older than you - I'm 48 - and I heard for younger people it's not been quite so heavy/serious feeling - maybe?
Roast those potatoes, onions and bell peppers, broccoli, too, with a little olive oil, salt and pepper in your oven. It’s easy, healthy and reheats well, good meals for when only feeling up to microwaving. So sorry you got COVID!
Here in Northern California we had a few weeks of what felt like relative safety, then the Delta variant started kicking our butts. Because I have several risk factors, I went back on isolation again, except for essential outings: groceries, medical, etc. In my county, we are more than 95% fully vaccinated (all residents age 12 and up), wearing masks, distancing, etc., but vaccinated people still are getting infected and some have died. My mood immediately plummeted when I resumed isolation, but there is good news: yesterday, it was announced that the Delta wave seems to have reached its peak here, cases are now declining. They will be giving booster shots, but I can’t get mine until the end of December, we have to wait 8 months from our second shot.
Oh, kinda sorry that you didn't enjoy Klara and the sun! I loved it, I think it's not super exciting but it touches so many interesting topics and ideas! And I also found the character of Klara, so intersting, especially considering she is a robot, which of course was Ishiguro's goal, to make her feel very human
If it’s from a supermarket…then yeah.Find it weird that’s what you took from this video. But do Gooders gotta do good I guess. Guess everything you own is made from sustainable materials? I know it’s not!
Depends on which supermarket. Some are much better than others. And also much harder to avoid when it is online. You definitely can avoid the pre-packaged stuff but it takes time and effort until you have it set up as part of a regular order. I‘m guessing it was more a case of just ordering and not worrying too much about it given she was feeling so ill at the time. But yeah, it can be shocking quantities of plastic if you are not careful.
Yeah, my comment was not about Lizzy. I realise she ordered online and can't control it. I was just shocked because it means its common in the UK for all vegetables to be packaged.
@@ilincabudinca Completely understand why you would be shocked and definitely not taken (at least not by me) as a comment about Lizzy. Sadly it is more common to have things packaged than not although that is slowly changing (even slower when online). It’s so frustrating as sometimes you just don’t have an option. The supermarkets here could and should definitely do a lot better.
@@ilincabudinca when I lived in the UK I was shocked by the amount of plastic in packaging for stuff like vegetables. I also couldn't believe that eggs aren't refrigerated there (!!!!). They were just sitting on a shelf next to the bread? I tried to contact the manager of the store because I believed there had been a very expensive mistake!! Apparently our eggs are processed differently and require refrigeration. In fairness to our UK friends, it's virtually impossible to avoid plastic packaging here in US grocery stores, too.
Lovely vlog as always Lizzy. Thank you for filming even whilst you were sick, really appreciate the dedication & I hope you feel better soon. I would love to get into making cold brew could someone give me any tips?
Just realized I missed this vlog, hope for a good recovery. And the clip where you unpacked your groceries is somehow really aesthetic. I wonder what camera you use for vlogs?
Depression is normal when you’re ill. Sometimes the only advance notice when I’m coming down with something is feeling a bit blue the day before symptoms come on.

So much packaging; not cool. Lizzy, have you thought about signing up to a veg box scheme? Fresh, often organic produce, minimal packaging plus the satisfaction that you're stepping away from 'convenience' shopping and embracing sustainability.
I have the perfect "really nice straight necked top... quite high necked" for you! www.noelleltd.com/collections/all-products These would look perfect with those hoops!!
jesus christ, i understand one or two plastic bags here and there since someone elso was shopping for you, but what the hell with all the plastics. Ahy every veggie is covered in plastic? Is it a norm for UK?? In Poland we of course have those prepacked ones, but they are like 20-30% of all veggie/fruit section so it's easy not to buy them & choose normla ones. It's just heart breaking to see so much plastic.
Yes, she mentioned in a reply that she's vaccinated. Guess it's a good reminder to people that we still need to be careful and considerate of others - with masks, distancing etc. esp in uk with rising cases and removal of compulsory restrictions. ( I'm sure Lizzy herself was, but lots of other people arent being, or dont even realise they need to.)
@@pagethreemodel It could go either way vaccinated or unvaccinated, because our bodies are all different. When you are vaccinated you are suppose to build up immunity, but every body is different as to the amount of immunity that is built.
I was getting quite stressed watching you handling the food without washing everything and touching your face - then realised you already have Covid, so not much point! Hope you get over it quickly and feel yourself again soon - maybe the tonsillitis weakened your immune system, or was it just Covid all along?
According to family in the NHS and a childhood friend epidemiologist, surfaces are a really unlikely way to catch C19. It’s quite common for flu, but not this virus. So there’s not much point washing your groceries.
@@spacewoman7814 oh, that’s interesting: perhaps I can stop frantically cleaning everything all our food, and give up putting other things in quarantine for 3 days!
@@elaineroberts7493 i'd given up doing that now, it was super stressful and tiring. i think the main thing is to keep hands clean and give your phone a wipe when you come in. i think if it spread more on surfaces most people we know would have had it, I caught it before the first lockdown and strangely didn't pass it to anyone in my house, so i think it def works in strange ways
every doctor I've asked about this has told me that Covid really doesn't spread through surfaces. It spreads via droplets in the air. Washing your hands often is still a good idea (because we touch our faces with our hands all the time) but washing groceries or quarantining packages isn't necessary. Unless of course you would wash the groceries anyway (eg lettuce or other produce that needs washing off before eating).
When Lizzy says, she felt quite European…does the UK not consider itself part of Europe? I know Brexit, but just wondering. Lovely vlog! Hope you’re feeling better!
What we often mean when saying" we feel European " is being sat by a window drinking coffee in the sun 🌞 feels kinda special or fancy. It's kinda thing our parents generation would comment! 😊 We're not really an al fresco, pavement dining type of country, due to fairly incessant wind/ rain. I don't think Lizzy was being political, it's just a shock to be able to relax like that! 😳

from someone who's in a country where there is a shortage of vaccines, I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would willingly not get the vaccine. I'm counting the days for when I can get vaccinated
Getting vaccinated doesn’t stop you getting COVID it only reduces your risk of serious disease and helps your body fight it faster. Hope this was helpful :)
I hope people don’t think the vaccine will stop you passing it on to other people or make you immune to Covid. You can still catch Covid when you are double vaccinated and still pass it on. I’m double vaccinated and yet still keep my distance/wash hands/wear a mask. Unfortunately Covid aint going anywhere.
