In B3, I remember a glitch when using the regular skin and the 3rd one (the one with the destroyed costume) for Goku in a mirror match. If both transform to SS4, the color for both models will be the same. Which will cause the game to glitch the animations. Tested it in the PS2 Greatest Hits.

Overall procedure: Go into a 1v1 match. Player 1 being Goku with the default costume and Player 2 (also Goku) with the 3rd costume (the one with the destroyed clothes). Get both to transform to SSJ4. If you need footage of it, a user by the name "Riley Cooperdevious" has a video named "DragonBallZ Budokai 3 SSJ4 Goku Glitch", which showcases it.

I wonder if that might have also been a factor here in the Budokai series, since that would impact the results in re-creating the near-frame perfect glitch, which would be beyond player control. I believe when the portara fusion fails, in B3 Goku’s Kamehameha physically gets a little bigger, more action lines are visible, and it does more damage than normally.
At 2:38 you can actually disconnect the P2 controller in PCSX2, in settings > Controllers > Set port 2 > Not connected. But yeah by default it's connected.
In Infinite World, the Dragon Radar mini game in the Cell Saga stage, you can technically find the Dragon Ball without completing the main objective. Also, you can play the mini game as other characters like Vegeta, Trunks, and I believe Gohan.
#4 also happens if you cut off the end of the cord and plug it in; seems to only check for what amounts to "socket populated = (true/false)" and not any actual input. I suspect pcsx2 has a null driver for when the controller is disabled so the game still sees a device present.
This video was super cool, The last glitch was my favorite. With all this talk on combos and stuff I was wondering if you have tutorials for that kinda stuff.
Also, one fact you may want to know, but it's related to the HD Collection. 50hz mode worked like crap. I discovered this many years ago on Xbox 360 (where you could select 50hz output on settings) and made a video with a cam on it, but basically the game slowed down, the audio stopped matching with the visuals (especially during Ultimates and Dragon Rushes) and the overall game was slower.
Of course it does, B3 HD was made to be played on 60hz, to get the 50hz your Xbox basically had to force the game to produce only 50fps, which in turn affected its gameplay 'cause game's engine is tied to FPS. For an optimal 50hz experience, you should play the european version of Budokai 3 on a PS2 console.
5:45 there was something like that I discovered I think in raging blast 1 (over 10 years ago) tried transforming after winning and it caused a glitch on frieza. It’s kinda like the old glitch that would happen if you try to absorb the androids at the end of the match
The only bug that's disturbs me is that when giving Goku some fusion skills. Goku will have an alternative voice lines that Vegito and Gogeta use. But playing as Vegeta. He'll use Vegito and Gogeta voice which is kinda disturbing while he's not even fused with Goku.
There's an odd bug(?) in Tien's Dragon Universe, in the Buu Saga there's one of those "sparkles" that shows you where an item or optional cutscene to the southeast of the snowy area, somewhere out in the sea, but it's not possible to actually see what it is, it seems like it was removed in the Greatest Hits version
On the loading screen with the saibaman mini game, you can play it for as long as you like and eventually generate a red saibaman, if you open the disc drive while it's loading. Ive only tried it on vanilla dbz B3. Idk if it works on other versions.
So if you were to recommend a version of B3 to someone which version would you say. I played the HD collection and while not bad I doubt it’s the best version of B3.

If you can't get that, then I'd say Budokai 3 Greatest Hits is the closest you can go, with the HD Collection being a distant second.

I don’t remember what Goku string it did since I haven’t played it for a while but Gogeta (Vegeta) combo string of PPK>k knocks opponent away while keeping them on the ground but pre fusion Vegetas PPK>K knocks opponent airborne . Sometimes the AI using gogeta will knock the opponent airborne with pre fusion Vegeta PPK>K . It’s hard to explain but if you wanna see what I’m talking about , go to training mode , set AI difficulty to either hard or very hard && let the AI control Gogeta . I don’t remember how often normal gogeta does it but SSJ4 Gogeta does it almost every time he teleports behind you && it’s also on vanilla budokai 3 . I never had the other versions . But yea they’ll do Vegeta pre fusion PPK>K instead of Gogetas normal PPK>K && only sometimes so I guess it’s a bug since human players can’t .

I remember I did a glitch years ago with Vegeto I transformed into a super sayian after I beat my opponent and when it changed frames Vegeto turned into Black & White which I was thought was awesome but since then I haven’t been able to perform that glitch again

It took me ONE hour to do it.
I had to test both versions of the game, plus different characters.

I made it happen once with teen gohan turning ss2 on budokai 2. Only once though this is the first recreation I've ever seen.
