These 1st person interviews extremely helpful! Jon very forthcoming and informative. Will consider Lumin add-on for real-time management of my heavy loads after my Tesla Solar/Powerwall whole house system installed. Thx Joe. Another great educational video.
One thing I didn't hear is how fast the Lumin panel shuts off a load in a poweroutage. If a Powerwall is now capable of supplying power within a fraction of a second of a power outage, can the lumin panel shed the load even faster?
Is it possible to create a video that looks at the improved power panels (SPAN, Leviton, Lumin, etc.) that discusses the differences including price?

That price is unfair to say, because some of the installs can be quite difficult depending on the system they chose, and their actual home service.
Great video, as always informative. Do a lumin vs span.io vs Leviton video!
A comparison of these smart circuit solutions would be a great video.
Waiting to see that famous Joe's X-Factor rating!
Throw Eaton in there too. Their smart breakers look interesting.
Good info. It sounds very interesting. Thanks.
Ahh - THIS looks like a great fit!
Nice video. Good questions and clear concise answers.

Can Lumin and Span smart panels take an input from a generator?
Really excellent interview. Thanks for the information
Thanks. Now that I've introduced both products, I can do the Span Vs. Lumin comparison video that you suggested.
@@SolarSurge Look forwatd to it. I am having a Span panel put in in the next month or so- I'll take soome pictures as they do it
This is not able to auto disconnect you from the grid during during outages, and use your Solar with no backup battery in daytime?
By installing these smart panels, what other solar equipment become redundant? Thanks.
Wonder if Lumin will embrace solar generators like the Ecoflow Delta Pro.
Exactly what I was thinking. Would allow users to scale up over time and independent of installers.
Could you do a comparison with the Spann smart panel?
How would this panel compare in cost and performance to the Generac module architecture?
Why the need for a “smart”
panel? Everything else is already “smart”
