Also, you’re doing a great job! In crochet, nothing really matters in how you do it so long as you get the desired effect. It’s sooo versatile in how you can move your hands, hold the yarn, create tension, etc etc. I recommend continuing to watch RUclips videos for beginners, following crocheters on social media, and trying to meet up with other crocheters in person so they can physically see what you’re doing and help correct you. Oooooor video chat with someone if you can’t meet up in person.

a court of frost and starlight is a novella she published as a transition to the second phase of the books. it’s kinda like a christmas special for those that had to wait years before a court of silver flame came out. just wanted you to know because i noticed that that people who didn’t know that and read them back to back tend to not like that one as much, and people who knew that tend to like it more 🧡

Crochet and Disney dreamlight valley is what I do all day every day
Anyone wanting to learn to crochet should try starting with a Wooble!! They're insanely cute and their instruction videos are SO GOOD - I had never done it before and was super dubious about it, but after watching through a few times, I got it! And they have each step as one individual short video. And you end up with an adorable tiny animal stuffy friend.
Also, the kit includes a little starter (already started), so the first thing you learn doesn't have to be basically one of the harder things to learn.
As a Southerner, hearing you describe chicken and dumplings had me rolling 😂 Thank you for another great cozy vlog to watch while I'm working! 🖤
hii!! love your vlogs!! when you crochet you wanna pay attention to how you hold your thread and the crochet needle, you wanna move the needle and not your left hand with the thread!
I absolutely love this! I just started knitting again after years, and it makes me feel so good! These videos are inspiring. A cozy self care day is just what I need.
I'm big into fiber arts (spinning fiber into yarn as I type this...well I guess not literally but I will be when I'm done this comment lol). I had the rare opportunity to use a CNC and an embroidery machine in the same day. Seriously, they are the same but one works on wood the other on fabric. Please everyone recognize that just because work is typically done by non cis-het men it is not difficult or like STEM as you say!! You're the first person I've ever heard say something like this and I so so so appreciate you! Also, crochet is the one thing I like can't really do in fiber arts. It's HARD-it's amazing you did that on your first try-I def. could NOT :)

Keep going with crochet!! Videos are definitely so helpful. I like to use stitch markers on the first stitch of a row so I don’t accidentally drop a stitch or miscount. It helped so much when I was starting out.

Crochet is so fun once you get the hang of it!
Literally learned to crochet yesterday! I think what you’re struggling with is the tension of the yarn. Try wrapping it around your pinky and index finger. As an english style knitter I struggled as well but it get’s better!!
Currently watching this while crocheting a blanket, I've only been doing it for 4 months but already feel really good about it. I know that learning curve is tuff, just keep pushing haha

Everyone of your videos I can always get one new thing or idea that I love and it’s always makes me smile cause lately I’ve been loooking into more new things to try and this channel has helped me in so many ways you can imagine.
I also just got a crochet kit and I have been avoiding attempting it but I think I gotta just bite the bullet and do it!! also you've inspired me to get back into coloring, I have so many unused coloring books from when I had a bit of a coloring kick in college. but its such a chill hobby and I can listen to podcasts or watch youtube videos at the same time. Been lovinggggg your channel since I found you! As a burnt out autistic they've been my happy place ahaha. Just a little side note laser pointers can cause anxiety and stress in kitties because there's no actual physical reward, so their brains just get stressed out.
My little girl poppy used to be the same with a laser pointer would freak out if you walked past the drawer it was in lol, then she started to lose the hair on her ears and our vet said it was due to stress and anxiety likely cause by the pointer especially because she was obsessed with it. She's doing much better now, she's just an anxious baby

I've recently re-discovered popsockets. They are amazing!! When they came out, I didn't quite have a smart device to use it with and then it went out of style (at least in my area). I am so happy using them now and they are super cute!! I love that you can swap them without having to unstick the thing. 🔥

I've been getting back into drawing and (my main hobby that I hope to make my career) writing! Coloring books are something else I've been wanting to get into, but I feel more interested in drawing and coloring in my own characters.

To make crocheting easier, try holding the yarn in the other hand. So you're using the hook in one hand and in the other you're holding the yarn strand and controlling it! This makes it easier to work the stitches in and have a good control over the yarn. I hope this helps lol ❤
