Why are all alternate reality Hulks the most fucked up characters? There’s never a normal Hulk.
Yep like the guy said, a rage monster, like Godzilla, you can make him a force of good (getting popular tend to does that) but given real choice it's easier to just lean on Hulk most basic attributs, colossal strength and warped/limited psyche.
Morality isn't needed there...

It wouldn’t sell I mean, if there was a comic book work the Hulk was running around like little kids and playing with flowers. Nobody would give a crap about that. They wanna see do things that normally do like rip person apart. I do completely understand where you’re coming from though I wouldn’t mind seeing the whole do something amazing instead of always being so horribly brutal.
I’m all for a viscous Hulk but every alternate Hulk is genuinely just the most fucked up versions of him.
So Tigra's "tactic" was to jump on the Hulks back and attempt to claw his eyes out while narrating her intentions simultaneously? I'm not a bit surprised by the outcome. 😂🤣😂😂

Monologuing is the downfall of many in the comic book world. Talk is cheap. I think they only had her speak to let us know her intentions. Still....
This is why comic readership has plummeted. Most of the stories they tell today are ugly and brutal, full of cynicism and nihilism, taking pleasure from inflicting pain. They've forgotten that the superhero genre has always been about hope, compassion, ideals, fighting to protect the weak, inspiring us to be better. These creators act like they hate superheroes and want to tear down all they stood for.

These creators do hate them. They are the woke ones. The ones that really do want to destroy everything the heroes stood for.
@@k1n63d I appreciate that you agree this trend exists. But I'm disappointed when people use "woke" as a catch-all label for everything in society they consider negative. To be "woke" is to be aware of biases, prejudices and injustices in society, and to want to change them. In that classic sense comics have long been among the vanguard of wokeness. There's nothing "woke" about cruelty and spite in today's comics.
@danieldickson8591 you can pretend woke still means that however just like many of the "conspiracy theories" that have turned out to be true the entire time, woke is a catch all as it is all connected, all negative and all by the same people. One thing tho, they have never once actually tried to fix anything. The woke use words to claim one thing then use their actions to do the opposite. They brainwash you with nice sounding word salads all while making everything worse. If you don't see that by now I don't know what to tell you. If you do but are being disingenuous because you yourself are woke, that's just sad. Or theres also the chance that you are not woke but all your friends are and the circles you roam in and dont have the courage to stop it. But one thing is for sure, comics have never been woke in any way whatsoever. Comics are all antiwoke and that's why they hate the culture so much and have almost reached their goal of destroying the comic book industry completely but not before tarnishing and destroying the legacy of every popular character.
@danieldickson8591 and I'll tell you another thing. When you try to use the original definition of the term most likely because you saw it in other comments by now. It sounds nice right? But what is always failed to be acknowledged because the people in the comments you've read were not in that community is that the blacks that came up with that term were racist Marxist ◼️supremacists. They didn't actually mean any part of that definition and the definition never actually applied to any of the crap they said in their meetings, in their books, in their chats, etc etc...
It was always a con from the very beginning.
The only reason it turned into a catch all term now is because the same organizations that tricked them into believing that racist junk are the same organizations that were also spreading alphabet community ideology, communist ideology, anti-american ideology, 3rd and 4th wave feminist ideology, etc etc and so on and so on.
The term "woke" was then taken and used as the catch all term because of the irony behind its original definition. These zombies claim to be woke when in reality they are in a deep sleep, an almost hypnotized deep sleep where they no longer see or hear reality but do what the organizations tell them to do without question and the moment a person breaks from the sleep and wakes up to question even the most minor thing the rest now see them as the enemy, which is why "the woke eat each other".

What is it with Hulk stories nowadays. Hulk punches hole in time. Hulk slaughters Aunt May. Hulk becomes Sorcerer Supreme. Hulk splits into 5,000 forms. Hulk creates new universe. Hulk invents perpetual motion machine etc. (Invented examples for effect).
I know it's 'alternate reality'. But there's tons of this stuff.
Why doesn't he just do normal Hulk stuff any more. He was cool. The writers must have got really, really bored with usual Marvel stuff.

OMG! I know The World has done Ol Big Green Dirty over the years. But This!?? This is the kind of Murder Horror that Monsters Like The Juggernaut. Or the Abomination would Do. But if he Commits Murder Like THAT!!? Then What!? HULK is a Villain Now!??
Hulk never saw himself as being accepted like the other heroes because of his green skin, gigantic prportionate muscularity and his rage! That makes him dangerous and he always wanted to be left alone! The rest of the Avengers thought the world needs guardians to protect it, the X-MEN think the same as the Avengers, but being born with metahuman genetics, they are hated because of their physical appearance, or some genetic defect that makes it extremely difficult for them to live normal lives! The Hulk is the worst, even though he was born normal as Bruce Banner, his father's abusiveness and alcoholism cause mental and psycological issues that manifested into suppressed anger that built into rage, so when Bruce was exposed to that gamma bomb fallout, TOAA rescued him from death and enbedded the persona of rage into a phsical form! So each time Bruce is upset or stressed to the point of rage, he transforms thinking about all the domestic abuse he and his mother suffered, all the bullies he's dealt with growing up in his youth and school years and it all resurfaces as the Hulk! That is one of the worst metahuman origins anyone could endure next to being born with a mutated gene that grants you supernatural abilities, but causes grief as of living a normal life!
Read Immortal Hulk. It's essentially a horror series where Hulk is the horror.
Why does it when it comes to Avengers end stories that the hulk is shown more of a villain than a hero. Honestly, I would like to see one Avengers end story where the hulk is alongside the Avengers as a team facing the end.
Hulk has always been on the opposite side of the Avengers, FF, and other heroes. The Hulk was conceived as a modern day Frankenstein’s Monster. He was fighting the Avengers and Fantastic Four in the first year of those comics.
I remember a time when there was only one super hero who killed and his name was The Punisher ( Frank Castle ) and maybe a few others like Wolverine because he was created to be the perfect weapon after all. But as a whole super heroes never took a life intentionally, especially if their name was Batman. They only protected people and beat up the bad guys. If anything it was the villains who had no problem killing. But that was pretty rare.
Heck, even the Hulk as a mindless brute didn't kill. He once had Dr. Doom in a bear hug and could have cracked him in two but chose to spare him because Doom would rather die than admit defeat.
The artwork in this one is so surreal feeing

What an interesting art style. Looks like it was illustrated with chalk.
I don't know, but I think this is Simon Beasley's art. I usually confused him with Sam Keith, but Simon Beasley used to do a lot of work for the Heavy Metal Magazines and he did illustrate many issues of different comics throughout the companies, even Ninja Turtles.
And although Sam Keith would also illustrate, his art is a bit more weird.

@@MRaadesign Awesome, thanks for the clarification. The art is very reminiscent of Simon Beasley, and as I said the latter also had illustrated for all comic companies as well as Sam Keith, both in the 90s as well... Wow, how did I miss this comic? I was collecting a lot at that time...

This was such a great 2 part story. Just in case anyone DOESN'T know, this book was released in 1995. Still have my copy from back then. Took a decade or better to find the second issue.
Until we find out this is an alternate timeline, alternate dimension, future timeline, clone of Tigra, etc. Death and dying means nothing in marvel. And which “ultimate” version of hulk is this? It’s a joke.
.. it's pretty obvious that this isnt the main universe..

I know the “Robin Hood” hat was taken by Green Arrow….but I always hated the Hawkeye mask. Couldn’t Marvel come up with something more “bow-ist?”

Hulk is a monster story. He’s always been a monster. Not exactly evil, but a monster whose nature destroys. It’s why Banner hates the hulk.
So this is the prequel to Old man Logan? Hawkeye was blind in that series.

Peek Condition to perform overly powerful actions. A pot belly person with possible High blood pressure or fat for muscles couldn't do stuff the way these "Athletic" types could.

Hulk is revolting and a villain. Hes always fighting villains and heroes alike, a menace to the world.
This is an alternate world. 616 hulk never had any intention to kill his teammates former or otherwise due to Bruce’s influence. Seems like either Bruce was evil here or he was completely removed from the hulk
It sucks. Marvel don't really like his own characters.
If I owned Marvel, I wouldn't need Disney because I'd value my characters so much, instead of Disneyworld and Universal Studios, we'd have Marvel Studios and Marvel Universe as a worldwide line of theme parks, cruises and water parks! I'd be so rich, Donald Trump will look like he's on wellfare and deep in debt! Rogue and one male character, not Gambit, would be my flagship superhero couple and my parks and cruise ships would need special reservations it'll fill up so much, and on Halloween, at first you show your I.D then go into the lockers, then change into whatever cosplay costumes you bring including your mask, just make sure you bring fake weapons only! At least in my parks I'd welcome costumes!

You can always tell how awful an artist is when they sign a page in the middle of a comic with the worst image they could possibly create.
