Hey everyone! So a few years ago, I released a recreation of Superman: Escape From Krypton as well as Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom from Six Flags Magic Mountain. Since then, it has been highly requested to make a tutorial for a working drop tower in Minecraft. So I have decided to make this tutorial, and hopefully you guys can benefit from it and make something really cool out of it!

Hey! After an hour of testing, i corrected two things in this tutorial and made the mine cart reach to the top (Java 1.16.5)
1. The redstone dust he puts on the white concrete on 6:25 must be extended, i mean you have to right-click it after you put it. If you don't do it (just like in the video) the cart doesn't go up after the 1st or 2nd piston, or sometimes it goes up and moves to a side getting stucked up there.
2. If you ignore the rule of switching in 3 the repeater on "floor" 8, it's enough for the car to continue going up. I made sure the repeaters were set on 2 clicks, 1 click, 2 clicks, 1 click, etc. (i mean, mouse clicks, to make it understandable) And made it go up to 12 "floors". I guess that it's enough to continue repeating that pattern if you want more "floors".
I used World Edit in my server to copy and paste the whole tower to repeat it the other 3 times and then recovered my entire hour of frustration xD I'm not blaming who made the video, Minecraft changes with every update.
Sorry for my bad english. I hope i have fixed the tutorial, and hope you can do it, it's a great idea for an amusement park ;)

Also, I'm playing on my phone. Maybe it's just for the phone version but my minecart would get stuck to the slime block and it wouldn't go up to the top. So I just got rid of the slime blocks and it worked fine.

Hey guys! So for the crafters who are playing on Version 1.19.51 (latest software update) on the video where he tests out his cart, set the repeater on 4 ticks (click 3 times) and the piston will launch the cart without having the cart stuck to the slime block!

This tutorial is awesome but I have one issue. I followed everything but the mine cart doesn't go up when I hit the button to test it. It was smooth direction till I got to the test part. If you have any idea and can help me I would appreciate it. My theme park could really use this ride. Thanks.
Awesome, still working on 1.20.4. Thanks for the tutorial, I had to set the repeater at level 8 and then at level 12 to 3 ticks to reach the top. Just one thing, how do you mount the minecart?

Hey @M-NL2 For some reason only 2 sides work on the tower I built. I followed the instructions exactly but had to make a small modification for the cars (on the sides that work) to reach the top (12 floors). The change I made was based off of what @nel.caminantesolar said. I took out the one block of obsidian touching the redstone repeater and extended the white concrete to the repeater and put redstone dust on top allowing the sticky piston that is facing up to activate and push up because before making the modification the piston would just stay as it was and wouldn't push up. Hope all is well!
so im trying to do it non my phone and when i do the tutorial the first piston goes to the side but not up
That’s because bedrock editions red stone works different. This is java only

I play on bedrock and the bottom piston won't move, do you know how to fix it ( it's console I play so I don't know if that has different mechanics from the rest of bedrock )

When I press the button how come the Minecart goes the other way where the obsidian is and it doesn’t go where the slime block is

the two sticky pistons near the repeaters are not moving but i copies everything you did so i think it might be bc my minecraft version is 1.16.1 will it still work if i use this version?
I havent tried it in 1.16, i have only done it in 1.15, so im not sure if it works in the newer versions

Awesome design but I have one issue when I push the button to start the "ride" the minecarts get stuck on the slime instead of going up
Me too. I think an update on Minecraft happened and you can’t do it anymore
just put a pig with a saddle in the cart and ride the pig
How can you fix this for bedrock? It works like normal except the second piston does not push the slime blocks up
Nvm figured it out. If you put a block 2 blocks beneath the middle obsidian and put a red stone on top of it it fixes it
OM MY GOD THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH, I know basically nothing when it comes to red stone and have been fiddling with it for the past few hours trying to make it work since this ride looks like such a fun idea, so thank you very much random internet stranger, you are my favorite person right now

Hey I tried experimenting with the redstone repeater to try tampering with the timing but it still not work it will not get high enough to the fifth one what should I do (btw I was experimenting with the repeaters bc it would get stuck in the slime)
It seems that this is a common issue, and honestly I am unsure of which platforms of minecraft and which versions this works on. I can only confirm that this works on Minecraft 1.15.2, and I'm sure it works on other recent versions of Minecraft, such as 1.14.4 (haven't tested it in 1.16.1). Which version of Minecraft are you playing on?

odd my slimeblocks go through the cart never pushes them
Mine works perfect only fine but when I press the button the slime block removes the button making the button fly off and the slime block is not even close to touching it but it still happens

Hmm, I've had that issue when I used to play on console; the only fix I could really find is experimenting with the delays on the redstone repeaters to try tampering with the timing; if this doesn't work then it may just be that I made this tutorial on java 1.15.2
I had to make all the timing 3 and 4 instead of 2 and now it works I did 11 towers lol
@@calibergaming2223 Yeah, different versions can bevave different in terms of redstone, so playing with the timing usually helps
The minecarts on my drop tower are going up at a delay for some reason and then lag on the way down any suggestions?

I am using the exact blocks they are in the video I can make it do the first 2 but not a 3rd one or more.
All pistons fire simultaneously but cart doesn't doesn't go up. Also I can't get the cart to sit horizontally before I drop it.

Hey any advice.... Whenever i press the button, the one i press goes up to the top correctly, but the other 3 only go up twice then fall back down. However, if i try a different one, that one goes up and the other 3 only go up twice.... so the 3 that are broken change to the 3 not being used.

It’s because the repeaters is wrong. I had the same issue and I checked the repeaters. If it default then that’s why if on click 2 or tick 2 wtv u call it then that’s why I think

i have a fix to the 3rd minecart stuck, just put a pig in the minecart with a saddle and poof it works just make sure to name it or it will despawn

Yo are you made a jump tower bigger send this that’s what I call him jump towers but if you go to mumbo-jumbo‘s roller coaster things watch the first one the jumper you can make a pretty sick one out of that and that’s what I use and now I’m putting a shell on it to make it look like it’s a big tower and not just make it look like it’s some strange big looking Redstone contraption but still it’s very cool and awesome it just didn’t work with my Nintendo but keep up the good work but I’ll take it on my part that it didn’t work for me I’m not gonna put this whole thing on you I was just saying there’s a bit easier solution with just a few Redstone contraptions but I thought this was very cool and I clicked on it because it looks like exactly like the power tower at Valleyfair well commenting on this Minecraft had lightning strike and I just jumped

This dud said 4 but when I keep on trying to but 4 blocks it messed me up at ever edges keep on not going right it keep on going to two to three blocks so I counted five blocks at ever edges and it looks about right so its five blocks not 4 this dude messed me up

I have not tested it, as I do not own Bedrock edition, but this does work on console though, so hopefully it works on bedrock as well!
