Simon Max Bannister is an incredible sculptor. From splinters of invasive timber, he constructs art works of indigenous wildlife. His sculpture is speared by the ecological crisis, with a knowledge that species and habitats are threatened by man’s insatiable fire.
An advocate for the preservation of wild spaces, he is an ambassador artist for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

Be the change you want to see in the world.
Stunning. Your work, the music and your words are beautiful. We need to change.
Many thanks - really appreciate it - we hope to keep bringing more inspiration every Wednesday.
Its freedom of the skys were the birds fly in with no borders its your inner freedom as a person who you put into your scultures, the fragilety of mother earth the fragiletyof ower exsistence, well done ,you are one of the the networkers to show.. and when we only look resilience is there...kind regards
Truly truly amazing....the way he looks through his artists lens and sees so much more! What I would give to just look through his eyes at the world for one moment.
Thank you
So glad this video resonated so much with you Kimberly. May his way of looking at things inspire you. Much love, Justine and Michael. 💚
Keep watching deeper and deeper outwardly and inwardly .
I absolutely loved this presentation of beauty, truth and an abjective look at how we (humanity) often never see any of it because we only want to see from a particular view, prejudice, preconception and judgment. Artists like Simon bring to us a higher way of being both with humans and non-humans. Everything has beauty, it depends from which angle you look and your freedom to explore new angles. Thank you, GR. You helped me to find new angles within me, perhaps to find some unforeseen beauty.
We are glad this video showed you new things, was inspiring, Tracy. May you find unforeseen beauty. All the best for the road ahead. Warm hugs, Justine and Michael. 💚
Simon says;) and I concur! Thanks as always for finding all the calm eyes in this storm;)
Greatest pleasure - thank you so much for your kind words - hope to continue to bring you weekly inspiration.
If we took all our fighting into a real sense of protecting....what a beautiful world it would be. These fillms give me hope that there are more people than I am aware of that are creating a more beautiful world and making that change.
Thank you for watching and seeing meaning in our videos Lesle Ann, giving you hope for a better tomorrow. 💚
What a stunning piece of filmmaking..... really nice, so elegantly filmed and well structured.... great shots also, grading is top too
Thanks for the beautiful feedback Charlie Lee. We really appreciate the kind words. We're doing loads of editing and filming in our spare time, so that we can keep bringing you guys a brand new film every week. So stay tuned - new content out every single Wednesday :)
Yet another incredibly beautiful and sensitive potrayal. Your muted, delicate colour scheme echoed perfectly the range employed the artist sculptor . Both you and the artist lovingly captured the essence of a bird's power, and it's vulnerability, it's freedom and the constraints imposed on it by man's destruction of their environment.
Thank you so much 😀 Elaine, so glad you loved this one.
He is a wonderful artist and we love his close connection with Nature.
Have a beautiful weekend.
Best wishes,
Justine and Michael
Love the use of music!
Thanks Liran - we love ArtList and have only just started using your music - we will continue - thanks for reaching out.
Thank you for this inspiring story of portraying nature.
💚
Wow
Taking something fragile and flighting and making it permanent. Deborah Butterfield did this with horses...her metamorphosis as an artist is interesting.
