What about starting the course? What platforms are best to utilize? What computer programs do we need? Missing the technical pieces to actually start this side hustle business.
I made the mistake of creating a course before I pre-sold it. Definitely pre-sell to make sure it's the right solution for your audience. Great video, Jessica!
Hi Jessica, this is the first video I have watched. You explain it very well and simply which suggests you have tons of experience! Great video! Thank you 😊
Online courses are one of the best ways to make passive income. Once it's complete, it essentially generates a passive income system that requires little to update and maintain.
That's not really true lol you need to nurture and market your biz always or your probably not going to see alot of profit until you've baked your process and can leave it to your TEAM to manage...
Thank you Jessica! I'm currently working on my first online course and this video has really helped me. How do I capture the analytics for the online course?
Lots of questions! I am making and selling online art courses - single lessons and longer programme - so skills rather than knowledge based. Would you say the same things apply? People are really enjoying them and buying multiple courses, but I am struggling with getting them out to a wider audience (my social media numbers are in the 1000-2000. Paid advertising?? Also pricing. All the coaching type courses seem to be priced at $497 or $997 etc. A leisure painter will not pay that. How do you go about pricing? Love your content as always and to my English ears, your accent is just wonderful!
Maybe you can get a bigger audience by: Posting Instagram Reels (they get pushed super hard at the moment) Posting RUclips Shorts -also good chances for cold traffic Or general RUclips videos that talk about that topic Or you could stick to Facebook Ads & give it a try (costs money obviously & if the ad does not work then you probably wasted your money) Good Luck with it & keep it going!🍀
@@FNFilmsPhotography Thank you! Funnily enough, I have been doing more insta reels because they are getting pushed. I'm a bit crap at them but learning and having fun! I have been posting tips on youtube once a week since the start of the year and that has really grown my subscribers. Now I need to get watch hours up... I hope that if they like the free tips they might check out the paid content. Not done RUclips shorts, so will check it out. Obvs, prefer not to spend money on ads!! Great ideas and really appreciate you took the time to reply
Hmm should you do the service provider route first before becoming a course creator? Since you shouldn’t create the course before, should you deliver it live? Btw love how this is affordable while others charge thousands for course creation course 😅
Slightly concerned by not having a course before you sell. I get the message but courses can take a long time to create so are you supposed to come up with all the fully fleshed out content in the space of a week? Also, if you don't have a RUclips channel to create a runway, how do you do that any other way?
I bought the course you recommended and don't believe I received it. Will it be in my email inbox? I received the receipt for it, but not the log in details for the course??
Isn’t market research supposed to be done to make sure you can create a course? You can always add videos to the questions people have even after it’s filmed. Just add the videos.

Good point,@JessicaStansberry I need an audience first. This is my first step. Thanks
Side note, what’s the color of your wall? It’s perfect 🤩
I’ve been feeling panicky that I haven’t created the actual course content yet, so I’m really glad to hear you say don’t create it before you sell it.
Great advice. I feel ready to make a gajillion dollars with my first online course. 👍🏻
this has been very informative, thank you
Great content! Do you have a presell and runway videos?
