oh my gosh thank you so much for this. I've been crocheting for 10+ years and the way i was learning how to hold the needles (english style) frustrated me so much that I dropped knitting multiple times. But continental style!!! Makes so much sense as someone who crochets!! Thank you for explaining it simply and clearly!

Hi, I hope this comes as a compliment: you look just like the actress Annette Bening. In fact, when I came across your knitting video, I was thinking how cool it is that a famous actress is now teaching knitting! :)

Meanwhile idk how to crochet, but I have been knitting for years but with improper form, LoL, definitely going to have to practice and unlearn the old habit

My grandmother was an avid knitter in England. She held one needle under her right arm, and as she taught me, I do the same. It's probably a habit, but I can't adapt to holding both needles in my hands, which makes it difficult to use needles with a wire. Any comments in the past about this?

How to know what you don’t know? Can’t find the video called that.

It’s actually called “how to knit for beginners: start here!” and how to know what you don’t know is on the thumbnail :)

Your letting go in English which is wrong

nope. it’s the throwing style of english knitting. are you thinking of flicking?

Horrible tutorial. Stick with one discription first, do either cont or english. flipping between constantly every other stitch is not explaining anything and incredibly confususing. Not to mention tension and holding were hardly elaborated on.. glad I still have my craftsy account.
