I remember watching this very clearly. I loved the attitude Cliff had on this show. Not so Mr nice guy, and it suits him. Just wish after Chris Evans had tried to destroy Cliffs career by refusing to play his records on the radio, and rally other talentless DJs to follow suit. (And I include Evans in that comment on being talentless)! I wish Cliff had bitten back and been honest about how he really felt. Spike Milligan said it spot on whilst on Room 101 years ago. I actually think Evans is a gutless wonder! Nice to people's faces and then stabs them in the back.

I am a MASSIVE Cliff fan but he was totally at fault for the tension in this interview. Cliff WAS rude to Chris and very uncomfortable with the show's format and style and it was a poor decision to appear, in my view. They may have reconciled slightly over the years but, even as cliff's biggest fan, he brought the Chris Evan's backlash upon himself, unfortunately. Nevertheless, 22 years on, BOTH remain highly successful, and I can't wait for tomorrow when his new album goes on sale. The genius that is Sir Cliff Richard.

Enjoyed this interview, I think Cliff handled Chris Evans very well & I think they have made amends now.
