My first year as a Rho Chi, I had a girl who was triple legacy in my PNM group. She acted so indifferent & bored at her legacy house (“top tier”) because she thought she was a guaranteed bid - and acted the same way at almost all of her parties. They dropped her. They extended a bid to a first gen college student in my group who was just genuinely excited to be there, hyping everyone up, and who was truly interested in the process & would have been happy anywhere. She was just a true girls girl through and through. When we revealed our letters at the end & she found out I was in the chapter she wanted (and also a legacy) she was PISSED that I didn’t go to bat for her. But sis, first, it doesn’t work that way, I’m impartial and just here to advise and guide you through the process. Second - just because you’re a legacy doesn’t mean you get an automatic pass if you’re not nice?? Like babe what?? She ended up leaving the school shortly after 😅

They always think they're above everyone else when it actually does nothing for them haha. We had a similar situation with a legacy. Funny enough, she ended up leaving a semester later too. Our Nationals had just changed the rule that we didn't need to take legacies anymore, so it was the first semester of us being able to decline. This one Alumna visited before recruitment and made us give her daughter a tour of the house and everything. It was actually because of how she acted during the tour that we decided to reject her. When we did it, her mom must have shared the news on Facebook because all of our former alumnae started messaging everyone on the board, telling us that we weren't being sisterly💀
