Y’all ! Tears are flowing seeing your donations and reading your comments😭 you are all incredible! We are so grateful for your support in this amazing cause ❤️
What a great video, you guys! I’m a combat wounded veteran, paralyzed, and utilize a manual wheelchair. I’ve had connections with people from the Gary Sinise Foundation and I’m a grant recipient from GSF which I used to install a stairlift in my home. I could not think of a better organization to raise money for. Love following y’all’s journey. The magical powers of The Water!
I do adaptive wake surfing and volunteer with a non profit Wake For Warriors, yall should check it out! Would love to try foiling, kite surfing, if that’s possible from a sit position. Thanks for always motivating me!
This is amazing to read!! So glad to hear of positive first hand experiences and we are so happy to be able to promote such a great organization!! Have you heard of the air chair?! That is the OG foil sport! Check it out.:)
Gary Sinese has raised millions for our vets!!! One of the few out of Hollywood that is making a difference for the right reasons!!! Nice vid and ive been along for the journey almost from the beginning. You guys inspired me to buy my Rosborough RF246!❤
We just finished watching this video. My husband and I are in our late 70's and we always look forward to watching your videos. Not sure why but my guess is that we are inspired by your sense of adventure and just going for the gusto. We are so unlike that as security has always a prime issue for us and have lived our lives like that. We envy your courage. This was a fantastic video seeing how it all started and how you guys met. I had tears in my eyes when you were talking about veterans and the Gary Sinese Foundation, you have won my heart. This charity is the one of the Veteran organizations we contribute to and now we will make another contribution in your name. One last thing we are ex-long islanders, born and raised, having retired down to North Carolina. We love watching all the different boat people but now you are our favorite!
As a Combat Vet, with two kids as veterans (all USMC) and being a loyal follower (and lifetime boater on Great South Bay....yes, saw you guys at FI in Adrenaline), I am going reach out to my local vets teams and we will all donate.
Oh boy…I went through and entire box of tissues watching that video. It seems like yesterday. I remember your jar filled with change and thinking “If he believes it, he will do it” little did I know you would find the most amazing soulmate along the way. I am beyond proud of you both. You are and inspiration to many and the ripple effect of your lives will bless more than you can imagine. Thank you both ❤❤ “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” -Henry Thoreau
Vietnam vet here and I have been on a lot of different boats but my one dream was to at least go sailing if for a day. Now I am 77 and health not the best so that hope and dream is gone, but I love it thru you guys. I like the repair videos the best but bet you don’t. Keep videos coming and make this old man happy.
Sail her on a day trip and take us along. Being a disabled vet I know how much is needed for a lot of vets. I’m blessed and don’t need to count on the VA for medical coverage. Your support just shows us all the type of folks you are. Tks for sharing.
Thank you for highlighting a very worthy cause. As the mother of a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan, I can tell you that your friend is correct. The VA is a miserable excuse of a mess and constantly falls short of meeting the needs of ALL veterans. Gary Sinise has been a champion for veterans for years and donations will most certainly go to a worthwhile cause. All gave some. Some gave all. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
One of my favorite episodes. You two seem the happiest I've seen you. Plus the great retrospective and segue into your next phase of life. The cherry on the top was your fund raising for the Sinise foundation. I hope all your expectations are exceeded in everything you do and that you are continually blessed.
I was quite impressed when you took off into a near gale enjoyed the ride and handled it all instead of staying tied up. We started our sailing together my wife and I from San Francisco to Key West. Now exploring South America in retirement in a van with pensions and Starlink for fun. The time will flash by.
You guys are an inspiration! Also, your hearts in supporting veterans brings incredible joy to my heart. The work in that space is never done, and our men and women do not get the support they need post deployment & post combat. We made a donation, and I know your subscribers will align to the cause and do immeasurable good. Cheers guys!
Billy and Sierra, Thanks for sharing Tom Briggs and your story about Tula. Tom's decision to raise funds for the Gary Sinise Foundation and the help you guys provide by sharing the info to enlist additional aid for the group is outstanding, well done. Thank you, Rex and Kathie
I am one of your first subscribers, can't believe it has been that long. Now we have come full circle together. I had to quit being a federal court trial lawyer due to combat injuries that have now resurfaced (Ménières Syndrome). Rated 100% Permanent & Total by the VA (disabled Vets know what that is). I now consider myself "retired" instead of a "disabled combat Veteran." That makes me feel a bit better about my situation. Anyway, I have lived vicariously through your videos (have especially enjoyed watching Jetty all these years. Truth be told guys, as far as I'm concerned, she's the star of the show on the TES channel. Note: Google stats show she's the biggest viewer draw). Thanks for being there for us. I'll send a C note to Gary's Foundation. He's a good man. P.S. Billy is now 36?! Consider starting a new channel, call it "OLD MAN of the Sea" - Starring Jetty! the Missus of the Sea, and some times appearing, that crusty OLD barnacle, Cap'n. Billy.
This was a great way to get your boat back while helping people who definitely deserve it. I hope that everyone takes the couple of minutes to donate this is a great organization who does a lot with little
How awesome it is that Tula is back in your life. 😊 Being that you trained to be a teacher it seems that you should do what you know. Teach others the skills of sailing and maintaining a sailboat. Perfect! ⛵ So happy for you both. 💖
I gladly donated money to the Gary Sinise Foundation. Looking forward to seeing what you do with Tula. Somewhere in the archives there has be be an explanation where the name "TULA" came from but maybe you could bring everyone up to date on the origin of Tula. Thanks. You two are terrific.
26:35 - "Lt. Dan!!" (from Forrest Gump) Gary's foundation is the real deal - glad you two connected with him/them/that. God bless you as you start another new chapter. (pronounced "Sin-EESE", I think).
Wow. I’ve followed you guys for all these years living vicariously through your adventures that you bring to life through your lens and storytelling. There have been a lot of highlights, but this video set a new high. What a great story. Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much. Love you guys.
My favorite episode with the story of Tula from purchase to restoration and your first sail to Florida where you met the love of your life to today where you own Tula again the Gary Sinise Foundation is proven to be the best there is.
What a cool backstory and excited to see Tula come full circle. I subbed to your channel about the time you got Neverland and started her refurb, and had to go back and binge watch all from the beginning . It has been quite an adventure
Great story! Glad to finally see sailors wearing their PFDs on camera. So many other youtubers cross the oceans with nothing on. It's only a matter of time. Safe travels!
Well done guys, BZ! Anyone out there who does not know, Gary Sinise is Lootenant Dan from Forest Gump. He works tirelessly for veterans through his foundation and with the Lt Dan Band. If you look under Patriot in the dictionary, it says "see Gary Sinise"
Looking through the comments Bert I am surprised at the absence of a mention of his role as astronaut Ken Mattingly in the movie Apollo 13. Brilliant movie and Ken is certainly no lightweight as an actor. Looks like patriot is a much deserved claim to fame.
My son is a USMC veteran and he said this is one of the better foundations to support. He just got out on 2019. I subscribed to this channel when you first bought the Trawler and have followed you through every video. I find it amazing you got back the little boat that started it all. Congratulations 🎊🎉. I also read Larry and Lynn’s books back then. I bought a Allegra 24 and 2012. It’s a full keel, blue water trailer sailer. Some things happened in life and I had to sell her in 2019. She went back to Lake Erie. I lost the buyers contact, but I would buy her back in a heartbeat now. She is a amazing boat for coastal sailing and trips to the Bahamas. 🇺🇸
Awesome Opportunity to give back through the Sailing Community! The Gary Sinise Foundation is an outstanding Vet Organization. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gary wouldn’t “guest” on your channel as part of your Fund Raiser! There is plenty of wealth within the Sailing Community to raise a ton of money for Vets via the Sinise Foundation!
You two + Jettie are Living MY Dream!!! Maybe not a sailboat for me, but just a boat that I could live aboard and move up and down the Eastern Seabord even to the Bahamas... Living the Water, catching your own food, with "minimal" reliance on land... Yes you need certain groceries, etc... but you can partially live on the water... So LOVE this Channel!!! Be Safe You 2.5!!!!
Very good to help Veterans in need. Here in Sweden, we also have an association that helps Veterans. Greetings from a UN Veteran. 1978 in Sinai Middle East.
I don’t know if this will help you or not but this is one of my favorite episodes you have done. Lots of life lessons. And yes would LOVE to see you guys do a full restoration. God Bless.
Great video you two. Wife and I have a plan to get out there in the next few years, hopefully we'll meet you one day. Really love your Seawind. Hadn't considered them previously.
Your Great sailors. I love to see you with all the proper safety gear. Sail On. As an Army vet, class of "68", i am so happy for your choice to do this.
As a career Navy retiree, this is such a great cause. Just donated via your link. So glad to finally know the origin of "Tula's endless summer". Looking forward to future videos from you both.
Maybe consider shipping Tula to the Pacific Northwest so you guys can continue some sailing up there during the south’s hurricane season and to also avoid the extreme heat in the south during the months of July and August.
Been "onboard" since the Neverland videos, and this one has to be one of my favorites, if not the best one!! Watching you both grow as a loving couple and actually having the opportunity to have Tula back is quite touching for all that she means to you both! I'm a sucker for a romance story especially when it happens to such a great couple!! It's been wonderful having the privilege to follow you both and Jetty all these years, and now the kind gesture to help our veterans in need is just such a true act of kindness!! Bless you Billy, Sierra and Jetty!! May you continue to live your dreams!! -Perry
Great idea to repurchase your old boat. As we all get older, many folks desire to repurchase our old boats, cars, motorcycles, etc. from our youth. You two are still young but if and when the opportunity like this presents itself, you need to take advantage of it as you may never have the chance to re-own your first boat again. Best wishes, good luck and congratulations.

I’m so happy that you have Tula back! She looks great!!! My son and I are both Navy Veterans and I was inspired to donate to such a wonderful cause by Tom’s valiant efforts. You both are amazing and I wish you so many blessings ♥️♥️♥️
I noticed Tula's homeport is New Smyrna Beach, my homeport too! But I've never seen her around. Hell of an idea guys! It's an opportunity for people to get a taste and a little experience in sailing. I for one would be interested. Also, it's a usable floating memory. Can't wait for more details.
Excellent ideas! I really like the idea of using Tula to tech people how to sail. Everything in this episode is God's Blessing to reach out with kindness. Happy sailing ⛵
I'm not sure how long I have been following you. You were in Tula, I believe. And every nautical mile that you have shared with this community has been a blessing to me. I am very proud of you, Billy, for teaching and Sierra for her writing and the vlogs. Jetty has been blessed to have two Loving friends. Bon Voyage! Love and Peace be with you!

Happy to to donate to help our veterans. God bless you two for taking the time to help others.

I have seen an air chair! I know there’s a large group of riders on Lake Oconee in GA. Thanks for the response :)

Pray tell how the name Tula came about...????
I'm a 75 year old USMC Vietnam Vet. Much love! 😍
Fate brought you to us and we appreciate the entertainment very much You guys rock
Found this channel via 'tula' way back then..the ol' girl is looking good.

Anyone who supports our beloved veterans is OK in my book!
Gary Sinise, or Lt. Dan, as he's better known, is an excellent way to give back. Man does some fine work for vets. Congrats.

Great story!
Nice video, I'm a Navy Veteran myself, thank you for supporting veterans, I'm sure your both happy Tula brokedown.😊
Tom is a friend & shipmate and a really good man. Leading by example, always! Thanks, Billy and Sierra for promoting his fundraiser!
Billy's joy being in Tula, almost matching the joy of being on the brand new seawind, was awesome to see.

It would be awesome if you guys could make a couple of sails on Tula before she gets hauled out. What a sweet story. :)
Such an AWESOME Story Billy!!!
Billy…you did it bro! You made your dream come true without fully knowing what your exact dream was! I appreciate you sharing your adventures.

What a great story!!!! How courageous, how adventurous, and such an incredible path to Sierra and Jetty. I love it!

Great video! Nice to see your first boat. Be happy, be safe
I think it's great that you've got Tula back and I love your plans and support this excellent fundraiser. You guys have such good hearts.
How cool that you got Tula back!!! Full circle, eh?
Maybe consider shipping Tula to the Pacific Northwest so you guys can continue some sailing up there during the south’s hurricane season and to also avoid the extreme heat in the south during the months of July and August.
Been "onboard" since the Neverland videos, and this one has to be one of my favorites, if not the best one!! Watching you both grow as a loving couple and actually having the opportunity to have Tula back is quite touching for all that she means to you both! This is your finest video production yet.
Thanks for asking to support the foundation. My donation has been sent.
That was a great story, and that was the original Tula?
Which begs the question, how many Tula’s have there been?
And knowing this present boat is not Tula it’s history will forever be amongst the Tula clan if you will
Thanks for sharing
Tula, to Neverland, to adrenaline, to mountain mist, to the new catamaran
Absolutely amazing!!! $23,598 Raised so far and I’m sure there is much more to come, been watching since about the time of the trawler renovations and it has been a blast ever since!

I noticed Tula's homeport is New Smyrna Beach, my homeport too! But I've never seen her around. I'm retired military and actually started watching you guys during my last deployment to the middle east. Gary Sinese is doing GREAT things for vets so you are really doing alot of good with this. Hars off to a very nice film and most of all, all very nice couple. Wish you both safe sailing and God Bless!!!
Hell of an idea guys! It's an opportunity for people to get a taste and a little experience in sailing. I for one would be interested. Also, it's a usable floating memory. Can't wait for more details.

That is so cool to get Tula back you have an amazing life and have gone so far in just 10 years looking forward to your next adventure
