God formed man from dust and breathed the breath of life, consciousness into him, and man became a living being, made in His image and likeness, with the potential to be moral and free will to accept or reject His salvation. What rewards would there be to force your child, your wife, or your friend to love you? Earth is where the Biblical story begins. Salvation is what His story is about, and Jesus, the Word of God, is the story’s hero.

When Mr. Lennox speaks to his audience around 16/17/18 minutes into the video, he references someone like Martin Luther stating something about evangelizing students of the universities, college age. I spent 8 years at two major UK universities and had Christian teachers by the score. Lennox is full of it.

"You were not actually present"- yeah, and I'd bet my house Lennox wasn't either.
Lennox was at Oxford. Any whiff of religious persecution, particularly against the state religion, would have been a scandal. There was no scandal and there is no scandal. It's just posturing nonsense.
There was more than a whiff of antisemitism- no discrimination against Christians. Lennox did his PhD at Cambridge. Far from being a hotbed of anti Christian bigotry, following the rituals of Christianity was compulsory. Attendance at church services was forced on faculty- till a somewhat more significant mathematician, GH Hardy, refused. That DID cause a scandal and finally rules were changed.
He presents no evidence. He has an anecdote that is, on the face of it, preposterous. I don't believe him.
