I put one of these carrier bearings in my xp1000 non turbo and so far after 500 miles no problems, super easy install love the grease line for easy service, def recommend
Okay, now that I’ve completed everything I will come back and try to help others. 1. The scatter guard thing I couldn’t get out. I got the bolts out and got it to move forward a bit but in the end I cut it out with a disc grinder. I’ve seen other shops do it and just toss it. So I got fed up and said F it. 2. The rear portion driveline I had to move and wiggle for hours and eventually it magically just got loose. I used some wood to hammer it around and finally got it. There’s no rhyme or reason, and how it kept getting stuck, I have no clue in hell how it CAN even come out, but it did. 3. I used a small HF air hammer with a bit I ground down to fit through the hole to get the roll pin out. No amount of hammering budges it. Not even a 4lb sledge on the correct size punch (9/32). Mark all your splines and points to be able to line it back up. I used nail polish. 4. Going back in I had to put the front in first, but the front u joint to the drivers side, not on the input shaft yet, then put the rear driveline in(more wood tapping etc.) it finally goes in and I get it up to the RCR bearing, then push the front of the rear driveline onto the rear portion of the front at the bearing, then back it all up to the rear output shaft, get those four bolts in, then go to the front and pull it onto the input shaft and put the new bolt in that replaces the roll pin. Driving it after, the RCR Carrier bearing fixed my bad noise and it feels great! Thanks for the great product. “F” Polaris for s shit design.
Couple issues I had. Only one of the long bolts they sent was threaded full length. Had to use a die and thread it the rest of the way. Also, had to loosen the front diff when going back together. Could not get the clearance to get the front diff to slide together. And lastly, had to file down the tab on the bottom where the clutch cover bolts on to get the rear shaft to fit. Maybe I just couldn’t figure out the tricks. But I got it done and really like the setup. He just makes it look easier than my backyard skills could pull off!
I’m stuck at the exact same spot as all the others were, with the shield, and everyone asks “what did you end up doing?” Nobody answers. The company won’t answer. I’m so pissed. I’ve been at this all day. The SHIELD! How do we get the fukking shield off!? 2019 XP4 1000 Turbo.
Love to know what part of the clutch housing you cut off because that rear shaft doesn't clear the belt box bolt boss and they must have changed them in '21 as I can't find that 3rd bolt on the scatter guard on mine. Then on the reinstall you switched from the OEM shafts to the RCR shafts nice bait and switch you run the stock shafts with a hard mount carrier you're teeth are going to vibrate out of your head !
Complete bullshit !!!! I’ve fought for 4 hours and can’t get that stupid shield off , the hard lines that are supposed to give you “wiggle” room don’t even move. I’m about ready to pull the diff. Polaris has a shitty design
I have a 2014 xp4 1000 and only had to pull the 2 bolts that hold the carrier bearing. Like he says patience and I didn't remove anything up top either.
did I miss where you replaced the roll pin with a bolt?

I don’t believe that the install was easy

Can’t shift the shield forward enough to get it to drop. I have an 18 turbo .
did you end up cutting the shield?
