How am I ruining it? The information about all that is new, has been confirmed by EA. I just want people to stop being blind and boy caught their shit. Why pay full price for an unfinished game? Why pay $200 for HUT when you can spend that money wisely? Why pay $60 for GM Mode? ( the only good game mode, in which they ruined in NHL15 with the simulation ). I know your a Timothy so I'm gonna put it to u like this. Why waste your parents hard earned money on Packs? Or just this game in general? It's just gonna be like 15, fun for 3 weeks and than its over! STOP WASTING MONEY

Should be called Poke Your Legacy. Because that is the most effective way to do anything is just to poke check.
there are still some things not yet answered: can you sim to the third period before starting a game? can you change your jersey number? can you request a trade? can you finally take a look at other teams' line and contracts? I like what I'm seeing here, but those things also need to be in there and should be easy enough to implement. They were in NHL 14 for God's sake...

Revive the EASHL Beta with the Be a Pro player progression system (EXP) implemented into EASHL. Would be amazing to try :)

I thought NHL 15 was bad until I play NHL 16 this game is so shit the worst gameplay of all time players skate like dummy it's impossible to play goalie overall I think this game is just shit the worst nhl of all time thanks EA with another shit game
NHL 16 is so so so so SO much better than 15 wether it is AI, game modes, authentic arenas or whatever it is so much better
My only question is will you be able to just simulate games all together without being demoted to the minors no matter how your pro performs on ice during simulations. Most people don't have the time to play every game of an nhl career and like to do the simming part of it and play just playoffs. But you can score 100 goals in one game and simulate a few games and the coach will say that you are "calling it in: and demotes you.....
hopefully in this be a pro mode, the game won't malfunction and freeze every time you're near the end of your first junior season, making the rest of your career unplayable. it was a glitch that everyone who played the game and started in juniors had to deal and EA did nothing about it.

Well if you played NHL 15 on current-gen, you would know that you start your Be A Pro career by getting drafted to a team,chosen at random.
Back in NHL 15, even if you performed bad or good you get drafted by a stupid overall exemple : i was leading the lLeag in points in the memorial cup, but i could get drafted 147th overall
I think it's the way you do it from before. If you start in the CHL, your play will reflect your draft position.

Since when does revamped game mode mean taking features that were in the game years ago, taking them out of NHL 15 and putting them in the game this year?

Be a pro is fun if you don't play goalie because that mode is impossible even last year it was more easy to save the puck this year is just a ton of crap

So basically the Be A Pro mode has not changed at all. Heck even in stuff like NHL '11 you could make decisions to be a Lady Byng nice guy or a jerk. But not now. But WOW you can sim a shift! Which has been around since about PS2?

It would be neat if you could choose to start in the under 20 world championships and represent a country. Or in one of the other leagues, most european prospects start in europe for example.

Oh god, do people still play this offline garbage? EA, instead of re-adding, and slightly improving an offline game mode, why didn't you just add in more online game modes like GM Connected? My friends and I literally play GMC non stop and we have an app on our phones for it and everything. I know of many people who will buy Legacy instead of 16 because of GMC. HUT is one of the worst online modes since its a cash grab, and EASHL has been destroyed since you took out the ability to edit players height, weight, attributes, plus it gets boring after a while. I'd rather have GMC than all these shitty offline modes, so at least I can play with my friends. I thought you couldn't do worse than last year, but you decided to re-add modes, advertise them as new, and took out GMC on purpose.

Be a Pro has been my favourite node since its inception in 09. I like these changes. Improving the player for what they do sounds great.
Hands of Cinderblock It's my favorite mode too, in fact it's the only game mode I really play.
Aside from some fancy new menus, everything looks exactly the same as 15. It looks like the game 15 should have been, instead of the unfinished pile of garbage it was. Answer me this EA, are the statistics at least going to be counted accurately? I played an entire Be A Pro season and registered 0 giveaways and 0 takeaways. That's just unacceptable for a finished game from a major company. It was never even patched. Also, will there be recognition of a hat trick?! Seriously? Just right back into the play? Will there be a three stars presentation, instead of just a box with stats in it? Will I be able to go back and look at replays of my hits, goals, assists, penalties, etc. or am I only stuck with limited linear instant replay time again?
Well if history is anything to go by with the AI, start as a goalie in the CHL, constantly watch my teams take 60+ shots a game, score one, miss about 20 and the rest get saved, the AI comes down the other end, scores the most impossible goal from the worst angle and win. Then quit and start a new career as a forward, win with abnormally high scores because Lundqvist and whoever we're playing lose all skill due to bad AI, win the Stanley Cup once then abandon the mode for EASHL tongue emoticon Unless the AI is better this year that is. Looking forward to the dev diary though.
This company has been around along time and is affiliated with a lot of big names and organizations, such as the NHL. I'm not sure though how they get permission to put the names and jerseys of prestigious teams and players, and then represent them so poorly. This game is loaded with faults. Stupid players going offside, can't pass, can't shoot. I've done my share of gaming and find that you spend more time spectating than participating with EA games. They are designed to make money and lots of it. The more money you put into Hut packs for instance will likely help gain some wins, but should you have to buyf your wins? This company is all about consumerism and picking your pockets while your tryin to pick top corners. Ai should stand for artificial interference. The better you are at this game the tighter the leash you get. Think they care? For every customer they lose, 20 more are waiting to be next.
In NBA2K, you feel like you are playing games to get a win for a reason, endorsements, twitter recognition, shoe deal, commentators talking about you, cut scenes. In NHL it's like play 82 games, change your stats, go to the playoffs, win the cup, same cup cut scene, wash rinse repeat. The only thing is playing the game, but for what... it gets really boring.

Making the Be A Pro like the MyCareer mode in NBA 2K would be so great imagine actually seeing the media and talking with teammates in the locker room and actually experiencing the draft. Speaking with management and coaches. A man can dream right

EA should make GAA games because hurling and Gaelic football are amazing sports also they wouldn't need to make a lot of players seen as there is only 32 counties and it wouldn't be much different to this
NHL16 is the worst hockey game I ever played.. I felt like I should have gotten paid to play that horrible beta. What an absolute turd they made.
Will you still be able to lead the league in points, win the Stanley, be the MVP, And STILL get sent down the next year? That's an excellent feature.

If you start in the CHL yes you have to play the full season there but if you start at the entry draft, you immediately play for the memorial cup and then get drafted based on how well you do!
they need a online street hockey type game. like a nba 2k but with street hockey or ice hockey. that would be so fun. i love hockey games of old. but this game looks like ill get bored after playing for a week or 2. ill buy it after half a year its out and get it for like $20 or so

its getting better be a pro needs another feeling like 2k did with nba having a before game and after game interview extra stuff that makes the game feel like your living the life of an nhl player as you become more known and i like the workouts def alot better then when it was

Not sure about anyone else, but I feel like the game took a turn for the worse after the extended beta + tuner update. I feel like they listened to all of the whiners and made the game much more arcady... We typically played with 3 or 4 and I welcomed the tougher AI defense (both for and against). It really made us focus on playing smart hockey, dumping and chasing, fighting for loose pucks and cycling in the offensive zone. After the update, the dump didn't work anymore. The puck lost all of its physics and just died on the boards for the AI to pick up easily and scream a pass down ice to the Cherry Pickers, who would, in turn, try the same sniper shots, or one-timers over and over again. Did anyone else experience this, or am I the minority on this one?
93Killerr Those one timers and snipes were there pre tuner. The only major fix I noticed was the goalie speed but that didn't impact much. You can still win by puck hogging which is something they said you wouldn't be able to do.

I know this may never happen but isn't the echl affiliates with the NHL because my local echl team the gladiators just got picked up by Boston
probably in the next few years they will be added, which I can't wait for. the reason they weren't in the game before was the fact that a few teams had affiliates in the Central Hockey League, not the ECHL. they probably haven't added them yet because teams like New Jersey/Albany don't have an ECHL affiliate.
