- Welcome to my review of the DX Go-buster Oh from Tokumei Sentai Go-busters. In honor of the upcoming Beast Morphers Series I'm taking a look back at the Go-busters mecha! First up is the "main" mecha of the series. Comprised of Cb-01 Go-Buster Ace, GT-03, and RH-03. Also known as the Beast-X Megazord.

No wonder Hasbro wants to adapt this season. Transforming vehicles are right up their alley.

I'd say this is perfect for Hasbro's first Power Rangers Mecha it's almost nearly a combiner wars/titans Return/ power of the Primes robot. I can actually totally see them using similar ports in the American version to that of those transformers lines
Let's hope Hasbro does a good job with the Zords!

@@importantperson8994 It's either going to be good or cheap, having both isn't really an option in the current economy.
That said, I don't think the prices are bad since the quality and size of the Beast Morphers Zords is really good. Far fewer missing paint details, better articulation, larger size.
CB01, GT02, RH03, BC04, SJ05, LT06 are the proper names :)

The three zords will be known as Beast Racer zord (CB01), Beast Wheeler zord (GT02), and Beast Chopper zord (RH03) and they become the Beast X Megazord

When you really see it, Its kind of like transformers isnt it? They have “headmasters”, they combine like a combiner, and go buster ace transforms. Kind of understand why hasbro chose this one fo their first ever power rangers season.
Red ranger zord is part beast wars/machines and part vehicle incarnation series.

I think the part that makes Go-Buster-Oh odd is the chest piece, that's the part that stands out the most to me as clunky.
Aside from that looks pretty good
I really hope they fix the legs for the American release.

The tokumei sentai go busters morpher weapons and buster machines came out when I was in my final year of middle school and I loved every single minute of the new super sentai series
Hot water can fix those propellers, and the heli mode of yellow looks like someone either forgot to install it's cockpit, or blew it off in a fight. It def needs the head there for it to look "right".
You can also flip out the hands but that only helps so much. It still looks incomplete.
pretty sure the fists being out for the helicopter mode was supposed to be a poor attempt at making a cockpit, since the backs of the hands are brown
Love Go-Buster Ace! Go-Buster Oh I feel looks a lot better in the show than it does in toy form. I’ll be waiting to see what Hasbro does before I decide to hunt down the Japanese versions.
Looks like Hasbro has split the difference between Bandai Japan and Bandai America as far as design and quality. The Zords are both weightier and less compromised in transformation but also more accurate to the show. The Megazord's proportions are much better, and there are far fewer missing paint applications than Bandai America's last few toys.

Probably quite like the Japanese version, but maybe a different size. The same or bigger if sold individually, slightly smaller if as a set. Hopefully they won't be using stickers.

Good thing they did, we got much better toys for it.
I can see why Hasbro would want Saban to adopt Go-Busters. This seems really in their transformers wheelhouse. However, the Mega Zord does not look good.

Hasbro didn't choose the season, Saban did. And Hasbro ended up making it for the most part; it was filmed and edited by Allspark Entertainment.
I'm watching this so I will know what the Beast Morphers Zords will look like. XD

I know that go busters was skipped because Bandai said the Toys didn’t do well in Japan but maybe it’s also because they didn’t want to deal with the transformations that Go busters had since the way these things work feels like Transformers which is right up Hasbro’s alley and zord builder comes off as very simplistic so that could be another reason that Bandai didnt want to deal with these toys also there is no gimmick to use for two years
bearbbb12 It didn't sell well in Japan because it was too "different" from other series. Because it was made more like Power Rangers with a Western audience in mind.

the way they combine looks like it’s from two series like the arms with RH-03 to the Go-Onger/RPM zords of black and green rangers zords are like arms which look the same to arm formations to CB-01 & GT-02 to Megaranger/In Space zords are formed with legs and body

Wheeler Zord (Wheeler Mode, Gorilla Mode). Zord Module - Beastbot Smash.
Chopper Zord (Chopper Mode, Jackrabbit Mode). Zord Module - Beastbot Jax.
Megazord: Beast-X Megazord.
Jet Zord - "Scarab"
Wrecker Zord - "Mantis"
I can’t wait for when I get the peach racers ordered so I can make the beast X megazord.

So that it can fit around the other in vehicle mode and hold the sword/spoiler in place.
I am so looking forward to when we get these toys in the US next year when Beast Morphers comes out.

Tokumei sentai go busters premired when I was in my third year of middle school and also 12 years old
Megazord are super super awesome
Well fuck. I just grabbed my Go Buster stuff, which has been sitting on a shelf for several years now, and it's all self destructing. The screw mounts that hold Cheetah Nick together sheared off inside his body. The screw mount that holds Ace's head together sheared off inside the head. The ports that hold the legs on the gold beetle won't grab for shit. _All_ of the clips on the gorilla are broken now.
None of these parts suffered any kind of prolonged stress on the shelf. They weren't like the ports that hold Go-Buster Oh's arms, which actually did survive.
This is like... GPS, but more insidious because the plastic seems like it's just good old ABS.
God, I hope Beast Morphers gives us solid replacements for the old DX stuff. I loved the Go Busters line, but I can't enjoy a crumbling mess.
The claws sticking out doubles as the side view mirrors so it’s not that big of a deal on the cheetah
Toy prints will be show tomorrow hopefully for these toys.

Go-busters is very good series. beast morphers cannot be as good as go-busters. they cannot make a good villain like Enter.

Courier 9712 , he not only speaks French but he is also calculative, he is super manipulative. he hid the final Messiah card in Red Buster and became darker version of him. He did so many other things. He even becomes the final villain.
...unless they make him exactly the same. Seriously, there have been older seasons that we're basically just dubs, like Time Force.
n . s so I've heard, but being manipulative doesn't make unique, just means he competent, as many other villains in sentai have had this trait.

That has two responses.
One, that ain't hard man, have you seen the crossover movies?
Two, as this is a more serious answer, it's been done before, and while i admit, they made it unique this time around, there's been better, albeit flawed attempts at evil sentai.
Enter becoming main bad guy is a very mute point, many generals have become main villains.
All that's been said are feats and real damn simple traits, nothing more than that, and not even amazing ones, all pretty much seen in better villains.
Enter is simply a person who can speak french and has traits that older villains had, his best feat is using the red leader as a human shield, yet he still fucked that up eventually.
Courier 9712 , enter does things you wouldn't expect him to do. he is very unpredictable. his goal is to become a human. you don't see that kind of motivation for a villain often in other shows.

Lol. Never in the world US made better Megazord for Sentai / Rangers series than Bandai Japan. Already saw one, yeah it's better than Bandai US, still need more paint and etc.
@@Mikael2492 It's way better than Bandai America has been giving us. Not perfect but a good substitute if you don't have the money to import the Japanese versions.
@@Mikael2492 Should add, the American version gave the Race Zord Battle Mode/Go Buster Ace knee, hip, and neck movement that the Japanese version doesn't have. The Gorilla leg parts stay on the Megazord better, and the Megazord arms have elbows that the Japanese version didn't. The proportions are also much closer to the way the mecha suit looks on the show than the Go Busters toys.

Old news but they are doing their own. But for future reference, it is not likely that Hasbro will ever license Bandai molds. They did that in the 80's and then ended up squabbling over it for 30 years.

The Hasbro version looks like a cheap knockoff by comparison to these. Side note, will be ever get better articulation in megazords? The articulation/posability has been the same since 1993, we we not have the technology to implement functional knees, elbows, head swivel etc?
Well, the Hasbro version has neck, shoulder and wrist swivels for the gorilla, and elbows, hips and neck for the Megazord. So yeah, we're doing a lot better now. Other than the Gorilla being kind of weird standing up, what's wrong with the rest of them? They're nearly the same size and have about 70 to 80% of the same paint details.

Hasbro make it good but CHEAP
Each of the individual Hasbro Zords cost as much as a Bandai America Megazord set. But also feel much heavier and have more paint.

@@importantperson8994 I guess their reasoning is that the Zords are the size and complexity of a Voyager Class Transformer, so they priced them similarly.
The whole reason Bandai's were as cheap as they were is because of how few moving parts there were and how simple they were to assemble. Hasbro's have way more moving parts and better paint. My only complaint is how plain the Wheeler Zord looks in gorilla mode, because the torso is just blue but that's actually accurate to the show.
