Having trouble setting things up? Hi I just downloaded the Social media Pop Up but it don't work. I'm a programmer and i figured out that some .js files are missing. I found them online and added them. Try to fix it :)

Now on OBS instead of using the "Local file" option, paste the URL you got from step 2 (as you would on an external website). 4. You should see the animation popping up on OBS (don't forget to set FPS to 60 for better visual candy). The reason behind this is due to the spaces and special chars to your file path get url encoded. Without getting to nerdy, '%20' represents a space, and OBS might not get (and others) that with the local file option. Hope this helps out 💪

I wish I could give this comment more than one thumbs up because that was the EXACT issue I was experiencing. Once I changed the font, the problem was solved.
Sail In the properties where you are browsing for the file there is a option called loop just click it, Idk if its different on OBS because I use StreamLabs
I found a work around for those who can't see the animation even previewing it on browser, if you see that your "datavalues" file extension is sql, change it to js, and then try adding it to obs again, works for me so i hope it helps you too
just want to throw this out there since so many people have struggled with the website setup and the .js.txt extension. If you don't want to bother using the website to modify and then replace files, actually adding the .txt after the .js allows you to open the files in a word editor and modify the code without having to delete/configure over and over. Keep in mind you'll have save the files and then delete the .txt from the file name - and then restart obs for the changes to take place. It will save you a ton of time. Hope this helps the more tech savvy amongst you.

hmm, not sure what to suggest. make sure the HTML is is linking to the correct "settings.js" and "datavalues.js" files. Alternatively, embed the javascript into the html itself.

I was having trouble seeing the pop-ups after extracting the file to OBS. If you find yourself having this problem, download 7zip. I could see the browser in the file, but when I tried to open it in OBS it wasn't giving me the option to choose the browser, only the file. Download 7zip, and go to the nerdordie file, (you should create a shortcut for the file on your desktop). Right click the file and select "extract all". Open OBS and select "add browser source" follow the directions in the video. When you go to choose the file, choose the one that says "file folder" NOT "compressed" After doing that, I could choose the left or right popup options and pick the browser source
Are you using OBS Studio? It seems some people using certain browsers are downloading the files and a .txt extension is being added to the end of the file. In your file explorer, click view and check the box for "File name extensions". You might have dataValues.js.txt - you want to make sure that it's dataValues.js for it to work properly.
If it doesn't show up : check if the file are correct (for me dataValues.js was remane dataValues.js.txt so it didn't work). Your file in the folder "settings-and-images" should be : - dataValues.js - icon-sheet.png - settings.js

For example. My twitch channel, youtube, and gamertag are all RXINBOWROCKSTXR. Well with this is more than one icon cannot match. So what you need to do is maybe make them slighty different like for instance, Rxinbowrockstxr, RxinbowRockstxr, or Rxinbow Rockstxr. But they CANNOT be the same in more than one icon. I noticed that if i did have the same name on an icon, it would move the wrong names to the other icons where my gamertag would be listed under my instagram. This really does work guys. Make some of your names a little different!!! If this worked for you, like this so NerdorDie will pin this comment and look into this issue. ;)
OMG GENIUS! listen to this person. it work for me. you have to have a different name. i am sure its something to do with their code. so for me i did Octane2k @Octane2k and /Octane2k. Hope this helps

Not sure if anyone still answer questions on this video about setting it up but my question is, how do you get the icon background color to be same color as the icon. So, for RUclips it would be red background and blue for facebook.

Ok, there's definitely something funky with the browser used to download it. If you are having any troubles, delete all files, re-download using Chrome, follow the tutorial while STILL using chrome. Once finished, double click the html file you wish to use (left or right aligned), the file will open on your default browser, if you see the animation, you're set! Copy the address and add it in OBS as a browser source (NOTE, do not use local file, instead, paste the URL you copied, it should be something like "file:///C:/Users/...", delete the beginning so that it starts with "///C:/Users/..."). If you're still having issues, you should contact Nerd Or Die directly on their page via a help ticket. Good luck on your streams y'all!

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THIS: downloading through firefox, my computer was saving the 'datavalues.js' file as a TEXT FILE, and not as a 'Jscript script file'. downloading EVERYTHING through google chrome fixed the issue and the thing worked without issue. Hope this helps!

No, but sorta... You could bring it into OBS Studio, record it on green, and then use chroma key with other programs. It's run with all code, so there isn't a direct way to do it.
For everyone with it not working, it is due to your adblocker or DNS affecting the link to cloudflare in the .js file. I don't have a way to explain how to fix it in a RUclips comment but NerdOrDie has a functioning product and I will be using it on my channel shortly as you will be able to see in PUBG stream #13.

Feels like we're missing a step here. The whole left right thing just tells obs where to position but how do you add the settings that were created to obs? Mine just has a blank red box
i thought it would be easy and all... but it doesn't work, and i read bellow that you should do all the steps using CHROME BROWSER. Since I used firefox, and did all the steps with no results, I tried again with chrome, it is working like a gem. Thank you ^_^
TO EVERYONE WHO CANT SEE IT IN OBS READ THIS: I solved it, there's nothing complicated with the fix. 1. select the default program that opens .html files as Google Chrome. 2. OPEN the .html file and COPY the URL it gives you. (in the address bar on Chrome) 3. Create a "BROWSER SOURCE" on OBS 4. DO NOT SELECT "LOCAL FILE" 5. Paste the very long URL that you got in Chrome into the the "URL" section in OBS. That should fix it for you. Enjoy!

instead of grabbing the URL from a local file, you'll be taking the URL from the chrome HTML and putting that into the field in OBS

I figured it out. Delete all of your previous files you have downloaded, then re-download all of the files, and follow the steps. It worked for me.

For everyone with it not working, it is due to your adblocker or DNS affecting the link to cloudflare in the .js file. I don't have a way to explain how to fix it in a RUclips comment but NerdOrDie has a functioning product and I will be using it on my channel shortly as you will be able to see in PUBG stream #13.
Hello, I have OBS Studio 19.0.3. Will this Social Media Popup work on OBS Studio's newer version? I noticed on your video you have an older version. Also, this new version has two screens on start up. Thanks in advance for your response.
Feels like we're missing a step here. The whole left right thing just tells obs where to position but how do you add the settings that were created to obs? Mine just has a blank red box
The setting are the ones you do in the brower on there website.

i thought it would be easy and all... but it doesn't work, and i read bellow that you should do all the steps using CHROME BROWSER. Since I used firefox, and did all the steps with no results, I tried again with chrome, it is working like a gem. Thank you ^_^
TO EVERYONE WHO CANT SEE IT IN OBS READ THIS: I solved it, there's nothing complicated with the fix.
1. select the default program that opens .html files as Google Chrome.
2. OPEN the .html file and COPY the URL it gives you. (in the address bar on Chrome)
3. Create a "BROWSER SOURCE" on OBS
4. DO NOT SELECT "LOCAL FILE"
5. Paste the very long URL that you got in Chrome into the the "URL" section in OBS.
That should fix it for you. Enjoy!

when I go into obs, and download it, it doesn't do one social media at a time... It show em all and is all glitchy..
