If the lenovo y700 makes a "before" boot into bios loop, never enters bios, but just turn on an off, maybe with the lenovo logo on the screen. Then just try to re seat the ram block. Maybe remove the batteri power connector first.
The computer need the ram to boot.
Signs of problems with the ram up to the problem occur can be stalling for som second's with a ticking sound.
Try it out. Worked for me.

Doesn't work. There is still a bios password.

Hi guys! After this procedure, do I need to enter bios and set some parameters/configuration before I boot my computer again? I have the same laptop but it turns on for 3 to 4 seconds and automatically turns off I read this could help...
How did you solve your problem, can you please tell? It is exactly the same with my problem and I've been dealing with it for 2 days, I have cleaned the ram, removed it and put it in, took out and installed the battery, I did most of the said but it didn't work, I will be very pleased if you tell me how you solved it..
I just remove it for an hour or more... but the bios was still there.. I cant be downgraded to factory version

why do i need to detach battery by itself? isn't it enough to remove jumper and laptop battery?
if you need just do reset removing jumper will be enough

Bought a Lenovo Y700 recently and everything works except the screen goes black after 10-30 seconds. And after each bootup it's the same, black screen after 10-30 seconds. I tried many things but it's the same. I even replaced cmos battery.
