Veena is very very difficult to play. No many people can play it. But it also have very low to very high scales and can play a song on veena of any instrument.
imagine if someone organice a concert with different traditional instruments from all around the world in one song, just one simphony, it would be like a symbol of peace between the countries of the world. imagine a sitar, guhzeng,Pervian flute and balalaika soinding toguether in a song XD
My favorite national instrument is the Đàn bầu of Vietnam. It's a unique instrument native to Vietnam, but unfortunately China attempted to copy it under Chinese name "duxianqin", claimed that it's Chinese instrument because there is an ethnicity living in Guang Xi China called Jing, which is the primary ethnicity in Vietnam. It's like the Morin Khuur of Mongolia become the "matouqin" of China, and the Arirang of Korea become Chinese folk song, all on grounds of Mongolian and Korean living in China recognized as two of official 56 ethnicities of China. And of course all the 3 countries defy China claims.

Interesting how many countries have something that are related to (and played vaguely like) the guitar as their national instrument as compared to how few have any kind of non-stringed instrument or a stringed instrument played differently (e.g. with a bow or something)
Hi! First I like to congratulate you for the video, I think a lot of people forget about the traditional instruments and it's uniqueness but I also noticed you put a Zhong Ruan instead of a Banjo, nothing very serious, just wanted to let you know that without intentions of being rude or mean ^^
Instruments which the banjo distantly derives from such as the Ngoni originates in Africa, but the Banjo itself is an American instrument first developed by African-Americans and later European-descended Americans, and they look and sound very different compared to their predecessors.
My dude, who ever told you that Tambrurica is a Croatian national instrument, he/she lied to you. Tambura / tamburica is often played in Northern Serbian part called Vojvodina. Tamburica is a Serbian instrument. You're welcome.
just going to put it out there that almost every European country has their version of bagpipes and many had them way before Scotland. it's almost same with the bouzouki.
Brazil's is not viola caipira. Capira means yokel, and it's the people from the countryside/rural part of Brazil. So viola caipira is a type of guitar the countryside people use to play their typical countryside music like música caipira or moda de viola (yokel music). The National instruments of Brazil can be attributed to either the cavaquinho, the pandeiro or the bandolim, which are the most common instruments of the brazilian popular music. One of these three.
I enjoyed your video, but am utterly disappointed that you have no instruments from West Africa!! So many genres of music in North, Central, and South America have their roots from musical styles of the West Africans and the instruments they created. Even the banjo came to the Americas with the enslaved people from Africa. KnowledgeAble, I hope to see this inclusion in your next collaboration of music.
Yep, the Banjo does have African roots, Instruments which the banjo distantly derives from such as the Ngoni originates in Africa, but the Banjo itself is an American instrument first developed by African-Americans and later European-descended Americans, and they look and sound very different compared to their predecessors.
Really great video! I missed Iranian instruments though, especially since most string instruments originate from Iranian Tār and also instruments like the Koto (or rather it's Chinese counterpart) are a direct descendent from the Iranian Santur. It's saddening to see how much a culture, so important for the history of musical instruments and therefore music in general get's ignored. Still a good Video, though, definitely like worthy
This video is inaccurate, the instrument next to the word banjo is a ruan, the Chinese guitar. Not only that, but the banjo comes from africa, not the U.S.A. The bandurria does not come from the Phillipines, but from Spain, like the guitar.
@@mechagodzilla8210 Honestly, the Philippines is reasonable as the country was quite heavily influenced by the Spanish. the national garments, music, dance were Spanish. and the Filipino Banduria has pretty different material and tuning as opposed to Spanish Bandurria.
@@mechagodzilla8210 umm...the spanish Banduria only has 12 strings In philippines its spell and pronaouns Bandurya and ours has 14 strings and ours is very different in everyway!!!

Just got this recommended to me randomly, wonder if this will blow up for no reason

Yes, I would expect the Chinese government to steal the culture from those around them. That fits them quite well.
I like the veena/sitar and the balalaika
I can't believe my own kind would try to copy a national instrument
There is no "own kind" đàn bầu of China, they even forced the Jing there to learn it and named it as duxianqin, in order to legally steal it.
@@Ionlyeatchipzeveryday There is no "own kind" duxianqin sorry, it's a mere copycat
This video is really well made

The Banjo actually originated in Africa, but became popular in the United States

My Favorite national instrument is a tie between the banduria of the Philippines and the bouzouki of Greece.
The koto sounds really good and soothing. Do people do ASMR with kotos? They should
