So many people sent pictures to DEM for this years freshwater fishing reg magazine and they put a golden trout on the cover.... Golden trout aren't even a native species to RI smh
True. But I have to say. They are a bit difficult to catch at times. I’ve watched them swim right by and not touch my plugs. Some have said they are just rainbow trout but I’ve caught some that look like brown trout. At least the head. And they seem to fight harder. I know they just are mutated and that’s why they have the golden color but they definitely seem different
