What would have been the the equivalent to the Secret Rings' Hot Pepper Challenge if Chariii did one for the Black Knight? My money's on a European Type Dish.
I like Shara's storyline because it's a surprisingly complex depiction of an abusive relationship. Erazer keeps leading her on with false promises when he clearly doesn't truly love her, but she loves him regardless and is willing to do bad things because of that love, which empowers him to continue manipulating her, which creates a cycle that many people fall into. This is shown further when, even after everything he's done and she knows how wrong it is, she still cries over the fact that he's gone because she's become so reliant on him. No, some of that doesn't necesarrily get it's point across in the story, you have to infer some bits, but for a kids game it does a surprisingly decent job showing how complicated toxic relationships can be. I don't fully blame Shara for betraying Sonic because she had been forced to believe that she needs to do everything Erazer says, and it's not easy to break out of that habit when you're locked so deeply into it
You forgot a part where Merlina says that if she rules, the conflict between gawain and lancelot would never happen... so she actually knows what is going to happen... why?
Seeing more eww challenges would be interesting, but probably not hot peppers again, to much spicy can cause permanent damage, something like you cant say any word that's in the title, or you can only use lines spoken ingame
At the end there in the bit with the characters you have a good point (it's an alternate timeline I think and it's based around the characters of the book which I admit they didn't do a bad job with placing!) altho Silver was also adopted in this case just like Lance was when he was young. Adding such, Lancelot is a Fae, which is a type of fairy because Nemune had raised him which could explain why he's the only one with his powers you see in the second fight. Also in the first fight, he was not taking it seriously, and even at the end he said he "was far too careless" There's a theory my friend and I have about King Arthur (Sonic in this case) being killed by Merlina so she had a way to take over things and the King Arthur she made was just a ghost from the underworld- as she is revealed to have powers over the dead in a way earlier in the game (refer to the wilting flower AND how she would be recognized back in town), there's also a possibility the Knights were under the influence of the curse and that's why they kept servering the ghost of King Arthur and were told to take down Sonic- but ALSO keep in mind that all the knights changed a bit after the scabbard was dropped by the King and Merlina took it, almost like the spell lost it's the connection to them due to King Arthur "being killed" and finding out Merlina was planning something all along, that could be why the other Knights help sonic as they're lost and don't quite know what to do without a king because the king they DID have was corrupt (the ghost not Sonic) which is why they decide to help them because they do want to protect the kingdom they live in, which is the purpose of a knight, to protect those in the kingdom from enemy forces. With the end of the game, they seem to grow concerned for sonic as they are witnessing him fight Merlina and they beg him to get out of there and when Sonic claims "I've just gotta do what I've gotta do.. that's all!" (after the death of Caliburn which seems to have really hurt him). When Sonic keeps fighting Merlina even without his sword the other knights seem shocked by his determination while in turn, his attitude unlocks the light of the Lost Light of the Sacred Swords, which gives Sonic the armor of a KING and the true version of Excalibur, which is the name of King Arthur's sword and it's possible when Sonic gets that armor he unlocks the memories of the other Knights of their old king (which in this case was Sonic) which is why they ere a bit surprised at the end as their king had been dead for years possibly. Sometimes I wonder if this was like Sonic and the Secret Rings was and it took him a bit to get back to his own world? So maybe he spent time there and he got help on going home as he misses his own world and he just isn't the king type. I know this is a lot, haha but this game can be super interesting if you really dive into the lore possibilities with this one, ESPECIALLY since there is a huge possibility each character in this world has a counterpart to the real one, meaning Sonic must have existed at some point if the other Knights managed to recognize him, along with Merlina knowing about a "blue hedgehog" which means there could have been a prophecy about the curse.
While I was laughing at most of it, I still gotta admit I had some concerns for Charriii taking the hot pepper Challenge. Poor guy. Also Erazor is just Eraser but I'm sure everyone figured that already lol. 31:25 that had me bust out laughing 38:24-38:44 Honestly I like to consider these storybook games as like Fever Dreams, like Sonic gets so sick that he's Hallucinating some bat shit crazy things lol.
"At any rate you better hurry it up." **Breathless laugh** Ok, I love how casual he said that line for such a dramatic villain. Another Sin: Don't these both kinda count as isekai games?
Sonic And the Black Knight needs to be remade so much holy shit since you include gameplay nowadays there would be so much dialouge and gameplay to be added
NGL I would read the HELL out of an entire fanfic story in the world of Sonic and the Black knight, where it just follows the rest of the stories of King Arthur but with Sonic characters
i don't know if the "i just want to be back with him" shahra drops implies that she and erazor djinn were in a relationship, or that they are halves of some other being. they do have the same hairstyle, and Sonic mentions Alf Layla Wa Layla is "an incomplete monster", so i'd lean towards the second line of thought
"Nope. There's no ******* way that you learned the prophecy, word for word, by just hearing it once." Allow me to introduce the idea of an "eidetic memory." Also, this is why I won't do a Hot Pepper Challenge video (HPCV, for short), because I know I'll regret it at the end, milk or no milk. Another reason is because I can't take spice that well, so I'm not willing to listen to someone who asks me to do a HPCV. In fact, I would start the next video with a cup of milk sitting next to me and drink for the sole purpose of triggering/tilting the individual(s) who made the request(s).
If we were to try to fill the rest of the king Arthur cast, Morgan would probably be Eggman as Morgan was the primary antagonists, with metal sonic as mordred, Guinevere is a bit tricky sense Amy and blaze were already cast, so it either have to be Rouge, as she one of the few reoccurring female characters, or Elise from 06.
I'm sure lots of people must've pointed this out already, but given Caliburn's role in the IRL arthurian myth (king selection) it likely knew that child was Not-Amy in disguise and played along with it to test Sonic's character.
I like the storybook series: It's really refreshing from a story perspective Sure it's pretty fanfiction-y on paper but that doesn't have to be a bad thing
Well apparently anthropomorphic animals in this world are normal so Sonic’s existence wouldn’t be questioned. Only the fact that he doesn’t speak normally.
I love the Story Book series for what it is i hope we get more Black Knight was fucking amazing and different in a good way also this just so happend to be uploaded on my Birthday noice
Wait, so... If you're going to continue this, how would you handle the DS games? Like, Colours DS could work with a Rush or "all versions of Colours" complimation And... Just, Dark Brotherhood in general, I guess. Would that stay a standalone, or be part of a complimation?
Something I feel needs explaining is that Erazor Djinn summoned the Ifrit to battle Sonic, which goes against Erazor's plans. On top of that, once Sonic beats Ifrit, the red world ring was INSIDE the damn thing. Does Erazor want these things or not?!
If he collected all the seven world rings he would have to sacrifice himself to get full control over the rings but if he killed himself he wouldn't get anything out of it
Eh, I kind of wish you remade these videos entirely, like you did for Shadow the Hedgehog. Like, back then, you only sinned the cutscenes and not the gameplay, and I think the gameplay would've had plenty to sin. ^^; Like rants about the really difficult missions or the controls.
I don't know if I should be sad or just laughing when he's talking when he's sick I'm trying not to laugh but him being sick makes me sad but just the way he's speaking when he's sick makes me laugh when he's trying to correct story

I don't fully blame Shara for betraying Sonic because she had been forced to believe that she needs to do everything Erazer says, and it's not easy to break out of that habit when you're locked so deeply into it
32:45 🤣 where's the Blacksmith...I never laughed so hard in my life
Thats a markiplier joke :>
You forgot a part where Merlina says that if she rules, the conflict between gawain and lancelot would never happen... so she actually knows what is going to happen... why?
Charriii: eats hot pepper
Also Charriii: +100 SPEECH
Also, ohmygodmymouth
Seeing more eww challenges would be interesting, but probably not hot peppers again, to much spicy can cause permanent damage, something like you cant say any word that's in the title, or you can only use lines spoken ingame
I still love the hot pepper challenge one, I'm glad you uploaded them both and not just one or the other back then.
Also in the first fight, he was not taking it seriously, and even at the end he said he "was far too careless"
There's a theory my friend and I have about King Arthur (Sonic in this case) being killed by Merlina so she had a way to take over things and the King Arthur she made was just a ghost from the underworld- as she is revealed to have powers over the dead in a way earlier in the game (refer to the wilting flower AND how she would be recognized back in town), there's also a possibility the Knights were under the influence of the curse and that's why they kept servering the ghost of King Arthur and were told to take down Sonic- but ALSO keep in mind that all the knights changed a bit after the scabbard was dropped by the King and Merlina took it, almost like the spell lost it's the connection to them due to King Arthur "being killed" and finding out Merlina was planning something all along, that could be why the other Knights help sonic as they're lost and don't quite know what to do without a king because the king they DID have was corrupt (the ghost not Sonic) which is why they decide to help them because they do want to protect the kingdom they live in, which is the purpose of a knight, to protect those in the kingdom from enemy forces.
11:56-12:01 Oh so that's why sonic doesn't know Aladdin and the Magic Lamp because they removed it from the book
To this day your hot pepper challenge is still one of your funniest EWWs. So your pain was not for nothing.
I'm a bit late, but I like how Agony!Chariii5 is basically just an angry Morty.
5:09
Knuckles: "I am Sinbad of the seven seas!"
Me: "That's impossible. You don't sound anything like Brad Pitt."
Oh come on Im so done 😂😂
I was not expecting a hot spicy version 🤣🤣🤣
While I was laughing at most of it, I still gotta admit I had some concerns for Charriii taking the hot pepper Challenge. Poor guy. Also Erazor is just Eraser but I'm sure everyone figured that already lol.
31:25 that had me bust out laughing
38:24-38:44 Honestly I like to consider these storybook games as like Fever Dreams, like Sonic gets so sick that he's Hallucinating some bat shit crazy things lol.
"At any rate you better hurry it up." **Breathless laugh** Ok, I love how casual he said that line for such a dramatic villain.
Another Sin: Don't these both kinda count as isekai games?
Thank you now I don’t have to watch these videos separately when I watch them 40 times!
“Because Erazor Djinn went coco for Cocoa Puffs” is the best line made
I heard "Ah my ears" and all I can think of is
"Ah my ears burn!"
Seven rings in hand smacks hard while working out 👊🏼🤟🏻
If Darkspine Sonic and Excalibur Sonic were playable, it would've been perfect.
They are?
@@playerback7722 they probably mean regular gameplay like super sonic
I'm so sorry for laughing at your pain but the hot pepper part absolutely destroyed me 🤣🤣🤣
the thumbnail art looks dope asf charriii got skills and creativity fr
Black Knight is my favorite of the storybook series.
Sonic And the Black Knight needs to be remade so much holy shit
since you include gameplay nowadays there would be so much dialouge and gameplay to be added
NGL I would read the HELL out of an entire fanfic story in the world of Sonic and the Black knight, where it just follows the rest of the stories of King Arthur but with Sonic characters
Same
Knuckles as Gawain calling Sonic a ho is the best thing ever.
I like to think that all these story book games are just Sonic's Vivid book related Dreams and Sahra/notsahra is Sonic's Type.
i don't know if the "i just want to be back with him" shahra drops implies that she and erazor djinn were in a relationship, or that they are halves of some other being. they do have the same hairstyle, and Sonic mentions Alf Layla Wa Layla is "an incomplete monster", so i'd lean towards the second line of thought
The storybook series music fucking slaps harder than anything else, and literally almost makes the games an enjoyable experience
Dang this is nostalgic
"Nope. There's no ******* way that you learned the prophecy, word for word, by just hearing it once."
Allow me to introduce the idea of an "eidetic memory."
Also, this is why I won't do a Hot Pepper Challenge video (HPCV, for short), because I know I'll regret it at the end, milk or no milk.
There are multiple layers to Metal being Mordred and I love it.
I'm sure lots of people must've pointed this out already, but given Caliburn's role in the IRL arthurian myth (king selection) it likely knew that child was Not-Amy in disguise and played along with it to test Sonic's character.
I need him to do more hot pepper readings
20:36 "This is the worst sh*t." *ding*
Game Sin Counter: 29
Sonic and Blackbeard. Get to it, sega.
Oh boy a bedtime story from father Charriii
I like the storybook series: It's really refreshing from a story perspective
Sure it's pretty fanfiction-y on paper but that doesn't have to be a bad thing
Well apparently anthropomorphic animals in this world are normal so Sonic’s existence wouldn’t be questioned. Only the fact that he doesn’t speak normally.
So much of this gives me lord of the rings vibes. I mean sonic even says "such a little thing, causing so much trouble" which sounds like Boromir
Caliburn is translated as Excalipoor in Final Fantasy games.
Guess what Sonic’s gonna be doing the whole game.
I like how it's no use is a +1 to the game sin counter, it shows how many people hate silver.
I love the Story Book series for what it is i hope we get more Black Knight was fucking amazing and different in a good way also this just so happend to be uploaded on my Birthday noice
"But a talking sword? That's just stupid"
Skyward Sword would like to have a word with you
Man is it weird not seeing Charii at the endslate.
Bet those peppers are 🔥🔥🔥
I’d actually love a Storybook Game based on a comic book
Wait, so... If you're going to continue this, how would you handle the DS games?
Like, Colours DS could work with a Rush or "all versions of Colours" complimation
And... Just, Dark Brotherhood in general, I guess. Would that stay a standalone, or be part of a complimation?
Do more Hot Pepper challenges, they’re funny af
As someone else said
“Sonic And The Black Knight is a play but Sonic doesn’t know that it is”
Something I feel needs explaining is that Erazor Djinn summoned the Ifrit to battle Sonic, which goes against Erazor's plans. On top of that, once Sonic beats Ifrit, the red world ring was INSIDE the damn thing. Does Erazor want these things or not?!
He does but he just needed sonic to collect them because if he collected them himself he would've have to sacrifice himself
Again remember when shahra said "But the life of the collector of the rings shall be offered up in sacrifice as the key for that control"
If he collected all the seven world rings he would have to sacrifice himself to get full control over the rings but if he killed himself he wouldn't get anything out of it
Then why would the sacrifice count for Shahra? She didn't collect the rings, remember, she couldn't even touch them. This story is full of holes.
I actually really enjoyed black knight, and it was a game that rewarded perfection
1:15 I mean everyone in sonic heroes is constantly telling the player how to play during gameplay, so maybe?
Fun fact if you look at the gallery/aka the cutscenes you see an inconsistency it says that Sonic gets the blue ring before he meets Sinbad (I played the Wii version)
From what I know there aren't any other versions either
Oh cool
Him: OF COURSE HE MEANS THE RING DUMBA**. Me: *falls over* BAHAHAHAHAH *uncontrollable laughter*
7:24 I can understand cause no one loves Big the Cat lol
8:51 also, thank you because I had no idea why only 3 of the ring absorbs Sonic
I honestly wished they finished the sonic story book collection
"Okay, and that did...?" Something I guess? I don't know...I guess it makes him look cooler
