Just to clarify. The old router is only 4G router. The 2.4G and 5G that I am mentioning in the video are referring to GHz frequencies. A 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter ranges. The 4G and 5G you see on the new router are referring to the network. Later I found out that they have only one 5G antenna which is in different part of the city hence no real 5G for me :) But I am satisfied with the new speed even on 4G.
The Nokia Fastmile 5G router provides a very fast 4G connection (120mbps) and regularly connects to 5G at around 500mbps. Not sure why Du have changed the router that comes bundled with this package.
the Du 5G Wireless is only worth if you stay in a area where DU's 5G coverage is available and where i stay in Sharjah DUs tower is just few 100 meters away from my house and i get average 100 to 300 mpbs speed during peak time like morning to evening and 500 to 700 mbps after midninght where most people are sleeping, one thing you wont get more than 300 mbps speed on smartphones but only on laptops and PC you will get full speed like 500 to 700 mbps
On my Samsung S23 ultra, there is no 5g signal inside the house, but only 5g kn the balcony. You think thisnrouter can get betge signal? Im afraid buying this DU becaus ei do t want to be committed to a slow internet for 1 year. Is there a way I can increase the 5g signal??

I am in International City phase 2 and the network is really intermittent. I have to put the router just outside my window to have 5g which is not even consistent.
Which plan you are using ? If you are using wireless plus plan 199AED then you can cancel the service anytime without paying cancellation charges @@GladGeneral
Du started to cheap out on the router really bad earlier it used to be Nokia fastmile 3.1 5G router which is much better since it’s also WiFi 6. This router cost barely 300-400 AED from Ali express.

DU is useless. I canceled old one to get a new cheaper one and they gave me new one in 1 day and old one I cannot cancel now for 15 days already paying two contracts!

Hello sorry for my late reply. Not sure what kind of sim cards they provide in router so maybe normal sim does not work if not properly set up. Did you figure it out?
Yes without any problem for normal usage. But if all 5 are on playing online games, watching movies, etc. then it will be problem :) But for normal social media usage no problem.

Hello, we didn`t try for IP TV but we use it all day for youtube and prime and it does not have any issues.

I think I noticed speed drop, used to get up to 100mbps, now I can barely get 20mbps. And that is really intermittent

i just upgraded today from 4g wifi to 5g wifi
downlaod speed on files on 4g wifi was around 5mb and on the new 5g wifi is around 11mb

You mean DU sim? Check on internet if you can unlock it, I used to unlock some older devices like this.

No, that depends on the signal, if you have good 5G signal it will be only 5G but if your 5G signal is weak then it will go to 4G
