- The Dominican Republic, or The DR for short, is popular for its crystal-clear blue water, and powdery white beaches. But the island has a few things you need to avoid.
Be careful where you eat too, I saw saw some places that has wall to wall flies.
I appreciate the advice
That’s a excellent idea to take the bus to Santo Domingo from Sousa
I ride this bus 3 times a month! Great ride!
Thanks for sharing the info - I knew about the water, and leaving my drinks unattended. It's the world that we live in.
Excellent vid bro I totally agree with you 100% I've been visiting the DR since 2015 and my wife is Dominican I would add one my thing to your list (We are only a GUEST in their country so act accordingly)! New sub!!!!!!!
💯
Great advice bro.... I've been traveling to the DR for nearly 10 years. I've been to more than 25 cities, from coast to coast. Everything you've mention is on point. I always rent a car, and never trust the motoconchos (Scooters) I've seen too many close calls!
Well said! You know the game my Brother!
Great video brother, can you make a vid comparing Santiago to Santo Domingo, what are the differences and pros and cons of each city. Rent, women, resources, etc
Yes I will. I’m in Sosua right now have a blast!
Thank You 🙏. I didn’t know about the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴.
Having been to South America 8 times now between Colombia and Peru both, everything you have just about said to watch out for, pay attention to, warning related all applied when I visited South America. Just don’t slam anyone car door hard in Colombia. Don’t keep your wallet in your back pocket. Carry a photo copy of passport info I’ve found as you often need it when using a Credit Card as the stores need to check your passport info fir foreign Credit Card transactions.
You forgot the one from your previous video…”Beware of women who don’t want you to wear a jimmy…”
Yes you are right😂
Anal 😂
That’s an automatic bad sign.
Fucc a Jimmy
Jimmy ?
AWESOME video brother! So true, when I 1st came to DR to meet my brother in Pluero planta the Uber driver asked me to cancel, I ended up giving in $15 US dollars from the airport to there. I keep my iPhone in my pocket. Being from BKLYN NY I trust nobody 😂😂. Lock my passport and extra cash is a MUST . I drink occasionally but I always have my drinks in my hand
Thank you my brother. Well said, you brothers from NY know the game!
@@roninthewanderingtravelerTV yes sir 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Ronin, I grew up in Harlem. With that said, I know that poverty breeds crime no matter where you are. There are places in NY where I wouldn’t go unless I’m with someone from there. Likewise, you might not go to Magnolia or Caliope projects on New Orleans. With all the Dominicans you know, are there any barrios in Santo Domingo where they would stingily suggest that we stay away from? I’m inspired by your Caribe Express video to catch the cheaper flight to the capital city then bus to Sosua now.
I meant to say barrios where they would STRONGLY suggest that I stay away from. I just got from Sosua last week and inevitably I’d ask ¿de donde eres? And the answer was usually “Santo Domingo Papi” I just have to visit the source of all of these beautiful women.
Capotillo, gualey, los guandules, guachupita...
If I am blessed to travel to the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴. I like 👍 to visit Santo Domingo in the city 🏙️ areas.
Any guy asking you anything or walking up to you, etc just start speaking Chinese like me works every time 😂😂
Lol
Hello Ron thanks for the video As always my brother
Thanks my brother!
I’m the luckiest guy being married to Dominican lady for 35 years.
yes you are!
Yeah, you're real lucky.😂😂😂😂😂
Great content very helpful.
Glad to hear it!
Great video and I can’t wait to visit the DR
DR is the spot!
Same thing in the United States you have to be very careful who you let come around you who you let in your home who you associate with
Yo if I come over can we link up bro !!!!
Carry water purification tablets when you travel guys.
I just ordered some.
do not exchange money in the street. they m ight givve you a bigger rate but you are taking a chance. as an american lose a few pesos but safe by going to bank to do your exchnge.
I know a few good shops to change money. I will do a video on this.
They slipped what is called a Mickey when you turn your head they put powder or pill you have to watch the bartender as well
Happened to guy know also.
Please don't use jewelry in RD.
walking around late in a place that you are from is not recomended anywhere. Im from NYC, if I go to Camden, NJ, or North Philadelphia I should not walk around late at night by myself. In DR people do not go into church , aa college or a mall and start shooting everyone like they do here. you just need to be carefull of places that you are not familiar with.
Camden and north Philly oh you must be the 🔌 or something.
Thanks for info
Big Bruh could you go over a estimated first year out the matrix budget, no shoe string budget, plenty of pre pays and living real good for 12 months before I slow it down a little bit. Thanks
I will do a video on this. Everyone is a little different, my good friend here lives on 1200 a month. I need about 2000 a month. $2000 gets you a good life in the DR because bills are cheap.
Kaopectate in Pepto-Bismol to stop diarrhea one or the other is just as good 🤣
3:11 although in the states Im always clutching pole🔫. And I kind of know the area. Foreign countries. I don’t know their hoods.😂😂
Blessings bro
Do they use lyft/uber/grab ?
Uber, it's very cheap in the DR
Is santo domingo cheaper than sousa
Both places can get expensive but you can live like a middle class local for 1000 a month easy in both places.
Should I bring water purifier/tablets?
No just use bottled water for drinking and your teeth. The water there is ok for showers.
What about scolopine.
I don't know any cases here. DR is very safe, but also be careful.
What’s the name of the bus that takes u for 53
Its called Caribe Tours. to ride from Santo Domingo to Sosua will cost you 550 peso in USA money about $9
