For real. Half the time they "upcharge" the cops and/or intentionally charge them with the wrong crime that they are not technically guilty of committing. That way when they go to trial, they can argue they're not guilty of the crimes they're charged with. Then of course, they're always charged with just one crime when anyone else would have 10 or 20 charges.

A few years ago I got picked to be on a Grand Jury. When asked about my ability to serve for a year or more I told the judge in open court during selection that I felt the "war on drugs" was a failed effort and that if any cases came before me as a juror for a drug case, I would never convict and most likely tell my fellow jurors about nullification. I also told the judge that I had worked with addiction in a clinical setting for many years and cages were not the place for drug offenses. I was dismissed post haste. I really did want to serve as I had just retired and find litigation very interesting and a hobby. That's why I am addicted to watching all these cases about 1st Amendment and civil actions. The billions upon billions spend convicting addicts is sickening; I didn't spare my words and told this to the judge in front all that had ears waiting to be selected to take my place.

We would’ve got at least a minimum of 20 years for doing something like this maybe even more than that and she’s crying about three years and she’ll only do probably half of it because she’s a former police officer. That’s what happens to cops that get busted to get plea deals or they get really short sentences where they only do half of their time. There was an officer here in town of Wichita Falls, Texas, who was high on pain medication. He was out on patrol speeding and plowed into the back end of the vehicle parked at the stop sign, killing a woman and her unborn child in the passenger in her car he got three years and he was out in 18 months. For killing three innocent people he did 18 months. Members of every law-enforcement agency in the area came to his hearing to tell what a good guy he was what an excellent officer he was blah blah blah. It was sickening.

If she's sentenced for stealing drugs, it's not Alleged.

She'll probably get out after 14 months, get married, become Mrs. Tressa Rodriguez, and get a job as Chief of Police in Podunk, Texas or Wheresit, Mississippi !! 😵‍💫 🤔

The drug war is a war against the people. That said, she has harmed many in the war, and deserves prison for that.

😮 😯 😲 😧 While I don't believe in prison for drugs, the Police ESPECIALLY deserve no special treatment. She's already getting FAR LESS time than you or I would.

I was feeling sorry for the cop that stole the $900 plus dollars. For a split second I felt sorry for this lady. After some thought, if you send people to jail and testify against them for doing crimes, you ought to be judged by the same measure.

Each theft should be a separate charge, as well as possession. Should be minimum 20 years if not life.
Conspiracy theory, how many people did she arrest and gained information, then use that information to expand her enterprise?

We had a district judge in Houston that was stopped for DUI 2 months ago and let go. She was arrested yesterday again for DUI with pill bottles in her car.

Government officials that commit crimes deserve tripple maximum sentences. You're not really making an example of her when you give her a kushy sentence. A citizen would have probably been given a much longer sentence.
