Excellent. Anthony Hopkins is superb as Pierre. Sergei Bondarchuk's version of War and Peace is a masterpiece.
I saw this as a girl and thought Anthony Hopkins was wonderful and have watched everything he has ever done. I was fortunate to see him in the London production of M. Butterfly and was transfixed. I have been a fan for over fifty years and it is sad to think his career is nearly over-but thanks to film he will always be with us.
Such a good version! Thank you!
