No ray tracing though. Of course 6700xt is good especially if u have one that will work (but it's chip lottery as for all) with undervolting. However in some games RT makes a totally different experience, unless you just wanna say you have played a game but haven't really lived in it. That's the difference. Immersion or just status symbol (unfortunately new generations and old ones are getting ill of this practice). I respect ray tracing, not all have the time to really play games nowdays, that's also a fact. Sure between 8 and 12 is the future. 16gb is just BS. I was and am pro AMD and I have ryzen since 5 years, but the reality is Nvidia is more pragmatic and talks to the game developer, AMD is just interested in growing as a company and selling more, and all the cards they sold to Miners more than nvidia as nvidia... they just have made us hungry for new GPU... while they got richer.

I know what immersion is very well. Development can't be talked like you do. The crisis has created HUGE problems. Making games and good ones take 7 to 8 years from pitch to release, have all been clanceled. Buying big cards is useless.
@@DNH17 Raytracing is overrated and looks awkward in most titles or barely makes a difference, except reducing framerate. It's a feature that people are forcing into the category of 'technological marvel', yet a feature like DLSS in terms of how dramatically it can change the history of gaming. Raytracing is practically a gimmick at this point and most games aren't jumping on it or putting much effort in it even when it's a feature. I think where raytracing went wrong was its emphasis on reflections. Aside from developers making wet surfaces look too much like a mirror, there's just so much more to lighting effects than reflections. Of course raytracing technology is capable of a lot more, but given its impact on framerates, a lot of developers feel compelled to just make highly reflective surfaces to earn the RT checkmark, rather than including stuff like soft lighting, more dynamic shadows, ect.

I was with AMD but sincce they can't do that.. and also not provide cards to all but just a few.. then I decided to buy a Nvidia also to test it..., if you are like 90% of gamers not an immersive hardcore Player, one that also puts house rules or tries to do it immersively and simulator buff, then of course one won't see it. But if you see what RT does and knowing what to set, in for example dedicated by Digital Foundry guy, then you will understand what I mean for immersion. Light changes everything... and not just that... if one runs through things because one games with a hurry (which I don't blame.. i understand lack of time) then you won't experience gaming for real... Check Digital Foundry videos on how to set Dying light 2 just for exmaple.. you will see the difference...
Considering that almost every 6700 xt can gain 3% perf on all games by only ocing the memory, it is a win for the 6700xt, plus you are sure you wont get vram related problems any time soon
Nice. I went back and forth between these two and found a great deal on the 6700xt so popped on it. Glad too see I didn’t really sacrifice much and saved a few hundred.
I bought an rx6700xt for my 1440 p configuration...I consider it an excellent choice, because it is quite cheaper than the 3070 and this difference of 5 to 10 fps is not worth that much difference in price...plus my whole configuration is AMD, which gives me the possibility using SAM, RSR, FSR :)
@@RyDDer2 red devil has a better and bigger heatsink with thicker copper pipes so I doubt that, it uses the same cooling solution as the rx 6900 xt varient, so no the red devil is definitely up there as one of if not the best rx 6700 xt u can buy
hello bro, I would be thinking of changing my zotac rtx 3070 for this gigabyte 6700xt gaming oc, the main reason is the noise and temperature that the zotac 3070 has, do you consider it to be a very large downgrade?
The card's ray tracing lets it down, but if you're not too fussed with ray tracing then the 6700XT is very close in most games. But IMO if you have the 3070 already you're best off sticking with it.

By a big amount unless you're ray tracing. In normal rasterisation the 6700XT is between the 3060Ti and 3070.
