Homemade Pipe Organ
bwv 1007 | Cello Suite No .1 in G | prelude | Johann Sebastian Bach
I wanted to try playing the Bach cello suite but with my homemade pipe organ, it is very pleasant to play and I hope you like it too.
In this organ transcription I simply added a bass with the pedalboard.
Ho suonato il preludio della suite di Bach per violoncello n. 1 con il mio organo a canne auto costruito.

Hi everyone, I always remind for those who see me for the first time that I am not a professional organist, but a simple self-taught. So forgive me some imperfections in the performance. Thanks! And remember to subscribe to the channel!
Try to hold the bass for every chord. Do not play it separately (only when needed). Just like you did at the last measures.
@@opheliabaret1727 Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try
fantastic !!!
How can anyone dislike this? Beautiful!
Thanks Samuel, yours comment are very important.
Never heard this cello suite like this before ! You make it look so easy which it is not. So great version !
Thanks!
an organ without a cathedral is like an acoustic guitar without the ressonance box
you are right, but unfortunately it is
You crafted a marvelous organ that sounds about as good as the more respectable organs! I could listen to it all day!
Thnaks E-ManAnimates!
Excellent - love the reverb too.
Thanks!
👍
That was absolutely amazing! Fantabulous! The adaptation of the Cello to the organ is really nice, the sound is so beautiful! And when you opened the second rank (the principal 2? I'm assuming the base is the Flute 4' and not the Bourdon 8', which would be just for the pedals?) the sound became so much more glorious! Just what the piece was asking for! Bravo! It's really impressive how the organ sounds, and your interpretations are brilliant! I certainly have something to aim at in my own studies!!! Keep up the SUPERB work and, please, keep this videos coming, they are a balsam for our ears! Graccie mile!
Thanks for your kind words David! the stops used in the manual are bourdon 8 'and flute 4' during the piece and in the finale I added principal 2". The pedal is an indipendent rank with different scale (bigger) of bourdon 8"
Great Giamma, I do like it a lot
Awesome!
Thanks!
SO beautiful!!! Great work!
Thanks!

Thank you!, I appreciate it.

Thanks Nigel!
Amazing music, amazing organ, amazing performance, amazing video!
Thanks a lot Luuk!
Thanks! Very nice! Happy Christmas!🌞😎✌️🎅🏻🎄
thank you Prince! Merry Christmas
Very beautiful. Great accoustics for a house, great! Greeting form Holland.
Thanks Treinen in beeld!
I'm just curious: I have absolute pitch, and I noticed that while you were playing, the sound we were hearing was two semitones higher than the notes being played. Is the organ tuned two semitones up, or did the pitch get raised in the recording process? Note: I'm not complaining, just curious.
Hi, it's true... Nothing was touched during the recording but the intonation on the pipes is set to 453Hz.
@@nippocast Thanks for the info.
Beautiful as always!
Which system do you use to add reverb?
Hi Jelmar, I have some natural reverberation in the room and i add about 10% of digital reverb via software. I use cakewalk to record and the "stock" reverb. I don't use any other effects or compression.
Thanks!
Love it! What are you using to record the audio?
Thanks! I use a pair of behringer c2, as soon as I can I'll upgrade with better microphones. And "Cakewalk" as sofware.
Sei un grande! Che voglia mi fa. Ma come hai fatto a costruire le canne?
Ciao Andrea, Grazie! Ho costruito quelle in legno, quelle in metallo le ho acquistate usate da degli organari inglesi. A presto!
How about other instruments? I glimpsed some guitars in the background of your videos. Cheers!
Thanks for your question Pietro, I'll make a video about it.
Playing it to fast. 4/4 time.
Thanks for your comment.
@ celtic bear, too fast? Lol, listen to the Mischa Maisky version
