Enough to make a grown man cry... What a heartbreaking, lyrical masterpeace !!
That’s rap (Rhythm and poetry)
YOU DONT CARE FOR ME YOU DESERVE TO BURN IN HELL FOR THIS !
@@brianhoodyinteresting how even where nobody knows english it's still known as rap, regardless of the abbreviation
Thing is.
He's telling my story from a different continent 😢😢
@@clockbain ❤️
My little brother and I were talking about my childhood sweetheart... Told him I had some songs that reminded me of her that made me cry. He said he knew one that would definitely make me cry. It happens almost everytime I hear this song. If you see this my love, stay well and safe. Thanks for the time we had.
The fact that the music industry largely ignores lyricists of Technique’s caliber in favor of mumble rappers is a crime against humanity
whats popular is always more profitable
@@GravityPoint its a good filter. ive met a lot of people who'd call this music trash, simply because they've never heard of it. buffoons.
The collective have a low IQ, never forget
“She gave me a new book to read every 2 or 3 weeks, forever changing the expression of my thoughts when I speak.” This line is so romantic to me.
I easily remember my days being 15-18 constantly listening and searching for underground all night. I’m 28 now with two kids who also listen to my music 😌
It's scary how similar our paths have been linked to this music. I have two boys and just turned 29. I spent my high school years searching for all the underground I could get.
Bro I'm 17 now just discovering this stuff as I'm searching for underdround stuff at half past 9 at night...
And im 21 and i discovered these song right now
At 9 am 5/5/2022
Yeah pass it on to your kids because there's a lot of real shitty hip hop out there on the radio that have the nerve to even call themselves Hip Hop .
this is me rn, only 14 rn, immortal technique is such a good find
"I felt like a moth who got himself too close to the light
Except I didn't burn I turned cold after that night"
Makes me really think back to the old days when life was real
That’s fucked up that I was scrolling through the comments as the song was playing. And literally as I read this one, he spits the line 🤯🤯🤯
..
Damn, hearing this track I can't breathe. Used to connect with a childhood girlfriend over this song all the time. She's gone now...miss her everyday though...
Gone as in dead?
I feel that man, opiates swept thru my area with a vengeance. Her and most my homies are gone. Feels weird being one of the last still standing.
@@Ulises21500Yeah, what? Please elaborate

First time I heard this was around 2014 and I always skipped it when I would replay the album. It’s just too heartbreaking no matter how many times I hear this
I know that feeling! It's an outstanding song but so painful you don't want to listen to it by default
That's literally me with Dance with the Devil too. Smh, mans is TOOOO good of a story teller
I hadn’t heard this song since 2015, I had forgotten how the song goes, felt like I was rediscovering it I got a sad feeling before I reached the end and now i remember why
I'm a 15 year old fan and I just wanted to say this is better than most stuff on the radio.
ur 15 years old listening to radio, or been a fan for 15 years?
Duh
First time I heard this song I was 15, life changing song
Hands down one of the deepest songs ever
This shit hit me harder than dance with the devil omg
Immortal Technique is truly one of if not the best storyteller to ever exist in the entire rap game, my first experience with him was obviously when I heard dance with the devil in 2017 when I was in the 7th grade and man my friend put me onto it and I remember distinctly how I felt shocked, almost disgusted and close to tears and I said to my friends there will never be a song that will move me more than this one but damn was I wrong maddest of respect to immortal technique he truly is a master storyteller lyricist and MC of the rap game.
Nah dance with devil is harder come on now
@@tomjones6297 harder yes but wouldn’t make a grown man cry the same way. I’m cold hard all the same after many years so hearing some story about some low life dancing with the devil doesn’t cause the same reaction.
@@TheKingsaint504 maybe cause you never danced with the devil yourself. But regardless you make a good point. I can’t wait till my boy gets older and I can show him real music!
Facts, id say the two songs have 2 different vibes. Both are dark, one more sad/sad, one more evil/sad
👎🫶🤲🙌🦶🦻🦻👃👂🦵🦿🦾💪👏🤜🤛🤝🤲"👐" & 666.♥️
Damn, this song still crushes me. At 40, it just hits a bit different than it did almost 20 years ago now. Still has me driving with tears rolling down my face but I feel each one so much harder. Lol... Life really can be so beautiful and tragic.
Fr havnt heard this song for about that long, til today an wow, very powerful, takes me back, but yea it’s a different understand I have as an adult and being in a serious relationship with someone I love very much, timeless music
“She had a style all her own respectful and pure” one of the many verses that speak volume!!🗣️🎶. One of the best lyricist of all time.
You never really know what you got until it’s gone. 🕊
Still the realest shit. I’ve been listening to this song for years and still get chills everytime I hear it
Lost my girl to suicide 8 years ago. I feel this too much. Miss you every day.
But I remember wishing that I was dead, instead of her.
@@user-vo1jg8bs9w I'm sorry for your loss man . I understand how bad it hurts and truthfully a person never will get over something that traumatic happening in their life just take it day for day and try to think about all the positive moments you and her had and try to live the best you can in her honor .
Thank you
Keep your head up man, life is dirty. Praying for you brotha stay strong!
Sorry for your loss g lost my best friend still hurts
Discovered Immortal Technique a few months ago, and I can’t stop listening to his music. Early 2000’s music hit different. He’s good at what he does.
Better late than never. 🫡Discovered Technique back in 2007 , the rest isn’t just history ~ His music changed my entire way of thinking / life.
@@Capsule71420 Hundred bro, it's funny that most of my intelligence comes through music. Immortal Technique is a legend in the rap game imo
When understand the lyrics you will cry with this song
This is a Masterpeace!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite storytelling songs of all time… Que viva Peru !!! Carajo!!!!!! 🇵🇪
This hurts even more than dance with the devil. You are literally the best story telling lyricist among all through history. Real shit.
Edit: LOOK DAD I'M FAMOUS!!
truth man
Extremely underrated
how good is realistic flavour tho
He's top 3 story tellers, amongst the best but not best. Nas - rewind was something else as a story rapped backwards.
Nas???
“And now you know why technique don’t fucking fall in love with people” hits so fucking hard
He signed some rare Nikes of mine. I called them, "Immortal TechNikes
Lol that's funny
Damn that's cool
Thats awsome lol

I swear on everything I love that nobody is able to pull emotions out of you like Immortal Technique 💯 This and Dance with the Devil will always be in my memory
This song changed my life! I heard this song for the first time & it shook me to my core.
Man, im 25 years old and this song makes me cry every time, especially when he reads the letter
This is such an underground classic I literally know every word! SOOO DEEP !
My highschool bf introduced me to Immortal Technique. I still come back to listen every now and then, 16 years later.
....how many tears i spend on this song.... thank you with all my heart....

2024 ! Who still listening!
Matthew Ryan Wallace. ask around. We're fighting.
A true lyricist
Fucking crazy shit I actually went through something like it just recently I'm 33 heard this back in the day
Always listening
Exuce me still drifting it till 2025
Rip his girl 🕊️, it’s crazy I randomly revisited this today , Aug 3rd 2024 . My blessings to you technique 🙏🏽
This song is exactly how I've felt about this one girl I know, the way he describes her, from the appearance, the demeanor, her goals and purity, her beauty is perfection. I love this song. It inspires so much within. I've known her for about 2 years now and that feeling still hasn't faded. Not one bit.
All the way from the Mother land South Africa this album got me through the hard times at college I'm a working average joe still here Technique I still see you dawg the struggle continues thanks for real music.
I haven't heard this song in probably 15 or so years. Used to listen to it alot back then. I rapped along with the song and got most of the lyrics. I found myself giving mental and emotional damage as i pictured everything as it was going along. I felt sorrow, despair, pain, hate and depression. After the song finished, it took me about 2 or 3 minutes to get back to "myself".
The story telling is insane.
I remember when I used to listen to this song as a boy and thought I was destined to encounter a love like this, but I never got lucky enough to, maybe on the next go around. She’s like a hood angel that everyone was always waiting for haha.
I remember hearing this for the first time in 2006 when i was 13. Still invokes such crazy emotions 20 years later. Absolute lyrical masterpiece.
This part!
Thanks to Shane granley back in Kachina Group Home i was 14 when he showed me this song even though we didnt like each other we sat in peace listening to this on his white xbox 360.
Mad lad.

@@kadeelacayo4806 that when i heard of him. homey gave me a cd-r that had what were his greatest hits up to that point. hilights from pt1, pt2, and bin laden too
Ahh those times, last year at High school. I kinda grew up on the hard-rock stuff via my dad . ‘Maiden, Metallica, Alice in Chains , Anthrax and so on. But round 03’ I started really digging all the Immortal , House of pain, cypress hill Eminem , 50 cent shit and bought all the cd’s. Very quickly all I listened to was HipHop baby ;) still revolutionary vol . 2 prolly the best fuckin’ hiphop album I ever listened to . Every year I need to play to it at least once .
Man i was born in 2005 and i just turned 17 and im listening to this
My Best Friend/1st Real Love Showed Me This Song. I Fell In Love With It And Now He's Gone. Everytime I Hear This, You Come To Mind, And Brings Me A Tear. Wherever You Are... I Miss You, I Love You...Devon P. 🖤💯
Tech is beyond hiphop itself , not fanboying him but I mean his commitments , character , interviews , actions etc ... lead you to another state of mind . And in that point either you make things go forward or you reloop your shitty life another fucking time.
Respect
you are delusional
Been listening to Immortal since 2011, Me and my friend would bump Technique until like 3 in the morning.
The feeling is mutual! Remembering the golden times, listening to immortal all through the night with my buddies during my college days.

I used to have this song. I want the cd. Just brings me back to the day. These songs got us through so much. ❤ Wish i could meet him in person 😊
This is the first time listening to this guy, now I feel like listening all his music.
Ironically. He doesn't have any other songs that had the same feeling of this one.
He struck lightning in a bottle with this one .
His other music is amazing on its own right , I feel like he only wanted 1 song like this on his catalog. So he created that 1 Masterpiece .

Heard this song only once. Made me tear up.
Amazing storytelling you killed it
" She had A style , all her own , respectful and pure
I was sick in the head for her and there wasn't a cure "
its just so sad that the one person who changed your whole life will just vanish.. I just hope people I love would live forever
Might just be the best song ever honestly
This is my number 1 favorite song
This song saved my life back in the day. Thank God for immortal technique 🙌
Probably the most emotional inducing song i have heard in my life , Mad Respect I.T
Man you truly are one of the best lyricists ever. This song still hits me so hard even grown up now. I remember being so stressed and lost in my feelings when my wife was in the hospital. Makes me cry like a baby hearing this song and knowing tomorrow is never promised. I hope I never lose her anytime soon, but when I do, this will be playing
Don't let her go
"go ask her bro the worst she can say is no!"
To late 😢
😭
The world looks alot different after you do a bid 💯 deep song and a truly amazing vibe
Immortal Technique emotional depth in songs is unmatched.
The "Character" of the woman he loves, is the strongest woman I can imagine. Ignoring lust, and keeping a death sentence to only herself, instead of spreading it. And yet, still open to forming spiritual and intellectual connections with people on a deep level. This story hit me hard, and I just heard it today. Cheers to you for creating music which forces the truth into the light, I think Tupac would be proud.
I cried when I was in Highschool, and I cry now 10 years later. This story is timeless and tragically heartbreaking.
This is a classic, go sleep and comeback listen it again
Southpaw is a genius for all the good beats on this release!!! Big up
Remember closing my eyes and imagining a music video to this song while i listened from a ipod nano
i miss you every day, Chris. i wish i had one more chance to tell you i Love you. Rest easy, Brother 🫶
I thought that this track hit me hard when first hearing it 12 years ago. Three years ago one of the women I loved the most was murdered. The tears and pain I was holding in came out listening to this not much longer after she died.
Indeed, you never know💯💯💯
So sorry for your loss. May she rest in heaven & peace as a beautiful angel🙏🏾🌹❤
