turns out, I was testing like an...alpha? version of the alpha network during this stream, and not everything was implemented properly. The pet changes, one for all nerfs, and enchant buffs are all present, but have been tweaked since this video - full patch notes here: hypixel.net/threads/skyblock-alpha-jan-25th-2022-balancing-patch.4786993/
i'll be covering these changes next vid, but tl;dr: ofa is still good but not as good, enchants are RIDICULOUSLY strong (wtf is that fire aspect buff), legendary baby yeti gives 75% str -> defence (epic still gives 50% str -> defence), and final destination armor has received the biggest buff of all time

with the new patch notes, it says +500%, and i do more with ofa on alpha than on the main. but t6 and t7 enchants are getting buffed alot, so it balances it out, and now with the new patch notes, the update looks amazing

EDIT 2: if i understood this correctly if ur a early game player ofa will do more damage than it used to, but if ur a end game player i'll do less, correct me if im wrong

It becomes addative so now it will add 500+ dmg to weapons, you will always deal more dmg with new ofa vs old ofa if you are combat 35-

When the 15m enchant got nerfed because its better then all the t7 enchants:

Damage with t6 enchants should be slightly less than ofa but ofc you get nice stuff from enchants like scavenger lifesteal t7 should be better tho they literally are supposed to be the best enchants

Honestly, hypermaxing a weapon is a bit more worth it, and now the overleveled enchants do actually need consideration for a normal player. Maybe fire aspect is a bit too strong though, eh idk. Also that consideration doesn't apply to prot 6, never ever get that garbage as a normal player unless it's already applied. And the alternate protections are still almost useless.
Because OFA is now additive (enchant category), I think the damage should still be a bit more than regular maxed enchants to compensate, however the regular max damage does depend on what enchants even apply on that moment, mob type and such, a bit over all that additive variance. And you get life steal and OFA doesn't. But hypermax should surpass ofa in damage, even though hypermaxing will now cost few 100m instead of a billion (increased drop rates)

Also fire aspect does 120% damage of your weapon over 3 seconds
@@obligatoryidiot and lethality 6 (from what I read) removes 20% defense instead of 15%, so you can 1 tap angry archeologist in dungeons, and do way more dmg to bosses (this is probably gonna get changed, or i miss read it cus it sounds broken)

Wait, the turtle pets new ability, take 25% less damage under 25% hp, doesn’t that only give you an extra 1/16 of your ehp, and that seems horrible
Kinda bad if you take a massive amount of damage at once, like if you're at 30%hp and get oneshot, the perk is useless.

Just fyi the golden dragon didnt actually get buffed damage wise, it just means you need less coins in your purse to hit the max damage boost of 200%

too be completely honest i get what your saying and i agree to some extent but one for all is literally meant to be better than all the enchants put to gether hence the name and you remove every enchant for more damage its supposed to be better .? is it not
i disagree that it's meant to be better. it makes no sense for a ~13M coin book (3M or so from the chest) to literally outclass every single other enchant in the game put together, especially factoring in that t7 enchants are extremely rare and expensive. i think it should still be GOOD, since you're sacrificing the perks of having enchants (mostly life steal / syphon), but it shouldn't be twice as good as 1 billion coins worth of extremely rare enchants - that is such poor game design
the latest changes (after this vid) buff ofa for weaker players and makes t7 enchants more worth using as a stronger player, i think that's a solid solution tbh

Ofa is getting nerfed for most weapons, old ofa was multiplicative so let's take Atomsplit Katana here, it's base dmg is 275 + 210% = 852.5 and with new ofa it will be 275 + 500 = 775. It's a nerf but now let's take a livid dagger 210 + 210% = 651, 210 + 500 = 720. TLDR: Ofa is getting nerfed but it will help mid game players a lot (also anyone before combat 36 will be doing greater dmg with new ofa than old one)
that without adding hot potato books and recomb, actually, atomsplit is a tiny bit better on the alpha than on the main server, but i totally agree with you!
side note is that the patch notes say ofa is now +500% damage instead of being multiplicative with your weapon damage. currently, it’s still solid and may well do more than it currently does, but enchants are so much stronger that it’s only worth using as a budget option
Why would a late-end game enchant be benefitial to early-mid game players?why is a livid dagger with ofa better then a ofa giant's sword it makes no sense
@@mixed7490 1.I never told about ofa gs being worse than ofa livid dagger (it will be still better) 2.Economy in skyblock sucks so now midgame player can be in full necron with sa 20. Also ofa wont cost more than 18m after nerf and 18 summoning eyes is few hours of grind (so its cheap alternative before t7 enchants that literally every player playing for more than 100h can afford)

they should make an upgrade that makes turtle pet mythic and it adds a perk where it gains 100% or maybe 50% of your defense into health or strength or maybe 10% of your defense into crit dmg

Every Enchant gets a buf and OFA will give 500% not 210% so you do alot of damage but loose a Lot of other stats
Its additive now instead of multiplying by 2.1 it gives 500 dmg so 500 becomes 1000 not 1600
I think ofa should do more damage Then enchants, because fire and Thunderlord are enchants, and already buff dps a lot after the nerf

bro something mad weird happened to me and my coop. so we are all legit players yk we each hardly have over 500 -800mil nw and we all got stat wiped and we all had high skills cause we hard grinded them before we went for money anyways our coop is still around with all of our money and everything is still in our chests but anything i click in my enderchest gets deleted the second i touch it so be careful if this happens to you for no reason aswell also if you know whats happening please help me to understand because like i said we've never done anything wrong
This glitch is uncommon, but fixable. It only happens to people who are simply just bad at the game. To fix it, you just have to get better.

On every swords, you put OFA, and it's at least 2x better...
Now ofa will give 500+ weapon dmg to every weapon so it's better for mid game players (with new ofa before combat 36 you deal more dmg than with old one) (also ofa gets a nerf and a buff, for weapons like livid dagger its a buff and for weapons like shadow fury its a nerf)
