Best Tech Tip Tuesday yet! Such a fun and thought provoking subject! Did you say how to harden the things or did I miss it causey wife likes to talk over the video?
If a large enough EMP hits the earth's atmosphere, you will have a lot more problems than just if your rv electronic survive. Think about all the things that run on electricity that you're going to need outside your rv. Best to just grab a beer and sit down to watch the show.
I just knew you understood the importance of having a good double thickness foil hat. By the way do you know why one side of aluminum foil is shiny and one side is darker?
🤣 Todd's Tin Foil Hat Tech Tip Tuesday !!!🤣 Thanks for explaining what an EMP stands for!!! I think we'll have bigger problems to worry about if something like that happens! Hoping to never find out! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Breaks! ::: 🚌🚌🚌
At the Tampa RV Show in 2023, Space Craft was showcasing one of their builds. They said the customer wanted the HUGE solar package and the rest of the RV EMP protected! So, they did it. I'm not sure exactly what that meant specifically.
A natural or unnatural pulse of electrons/ electrical energy. During a EMP, it does not matter if the circuit is open or closed as the over voltage will jump over.
It is always good to be the best prepared for any event natural or otherwise. Question Todd, if there wa EMP event how would a steel building help to keep from damaging an RVs electrical components?
So true yet delivered in a way that had me laughing. Excellent video, I think there needs to be a whole new series on the "tin foil hat tech tip Tuesday".
I have a spare BMS (I built my own lithium batteries from raw cells), charge controller and a small back-up inverter that are not hooked up, as I like to carry spares of critical components. I do not have them in a Faraday cage though. How hard would it be to make one? I also have 2 spare ECMs for my toad (though no TCM or BCM) I could store there too. I guess I need these components for my motorhome too, though I doubt I'd be able to get fuel if the worst happened. Oh well, let's just pray it doesn't happen in our lifetime.
I just wanted to see the funny. And quite frankly I'm not going to get into it. An emp is nothing but a surge. There is arch and the smaller the connection the greater the chance of an arch. Cool thing is, if you own an rv you will be fine. The lights might turn on and if you are a solar queen you will suffer. But if you are one of them you have more money than brains and shouldn't be glamping in the first place. The ac will stop and you won't be able to txt police hlp. The rest of us will enjoy the peace and quiet. 😅
Thank you for answering my question. lol you had me laughing also. My you tube name is always messed up lol. Heavy D (my name is Dustin and Heavy D has been my nick name since I was younger because I’m a big guy) IV’s because I own a mobile IV (intravenous) service here in Texas out of the Houston area. Like the IVs you get at the hospital lol
Todd, I am very familiar in EMP protection. This is not feasible to protect RV’s and homes without a tremendous expense. All components within homes and rv’s would have to be protected along with all cooper wiring. Folks need to understand protecting from EMP is not feasible.
Nice hat!

😂 My favorite 2 min tip to date !
Think of the brisket we could have used in that giant piece of foil you sacrificed for the vid 😂

Hey Todd, always entertaining brother. I would say offer a hat, sword, and shield with every battery purchase. lol
An EMP from the sun is called a CME - coronal mass ejection.
People are becoming so concerned about world events. It's getting scary out here.
I just knew you understood the importance of having a good double thickness foil hat.

I love this type of info. I am trying to learn more about EMP as well.
I hope it never happens. To get a glimpse of how bad it's going to get, check out the
Audible book - "One Second After"
Best text tip ever!! Love the tinfoil hat.

Thank you so much for this. What night are you on stage at the local comedy club, I’ve got to attend. Thank you, seriously!!!
Google how to make a "Faraday Cage" around your RV or critical electronic components. Or learn how to Tent Camp! LOL
Glad I had my aluminum foil “COWBOY HAT” on during this, 🤠👽
Is that a real TIN FOIL hat? Or is it an ALUMINUM FOIL hat? Don't be fooled! Make sure your Mind Ray Protective Headgear is made of high grade tin.
Got my tinfoil hat too.

Too many holes. Spotty at best
I think you just jumped the shark with this video.

Interesting
Todd's tin foil hat tech tip Tuesday! Oh, that's what you said.
Does your school take trailers to work on? or upgrade?

That’s exactly what I do as well.
What? Lose in space here

Makes so much sense now!
😂
Do you sell the hats?

Way more than 2 minutes
Easy. EMPShield. Call them and talk. It's not cheap but complies with milstd. I have it on home and trailer and truck.
