Sir @jaywalkur my wife and I really love your reviews.❤ We got our Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6T because of it. Thank you so much for all the awesome reviews for us to watch!🙇♂
@@NotAProDrayber based on your reviews, and videos, along with Jaywalkers reviews, I'm thinking of getting the 1.6T. It's great value for money. I discovered that the 7 Spd DCT is actually based on the Getrag 7DCT300/400, similar to BMWs Steptronic system used on the Mini Cooper S etc, The vehicle management system which controls the engine and all the braking and stability controls etc is a Bosch Motronic MED17-9.3 system, same as used in VWs and Audis. Pretty decent spec for this vehicle, and you can't go wrong with the features and warranty. I really need a vehicle with adaptive cruise since my right leg gets cramps in stop and go traffic, so the Tiggo 8 Pro is really looking attractive to me at this stage. Not sure I need the AWD, and love the brown interior in the 1.6T.
Same dilemma here... can almost see the maritesses raise their eyebrows on the brand. But what the heck... the features are so impressive and all too tempting
Very impressive vehicle for the price. I wonder how reliable their DCT is, was it engineered with another manufacturer? Are the seats real leather, or synthetic leather? How good was the stereo?
I researched my own answers. The DCT is a Gertrag designed DCT, same as those used in BMW. The stereo is by Sony and sounds good. It's not real leather, but high quality synthetic leather. Android Auto is now included. Also the Engine, stabilization and braking system is a Bosch Motronic 9.3.
In terms of price, yes ka level. But the tiggo 8 Pro 2.0, aside from having more seating capacity also has a lot more power than both the forester and the XV
Protect the local auto industry in Europe, that's why they will use their media to create all negative news and suppress competitors' conventional strategies. But rumors are rumors
@@ianguapo they haven't failed on safety crash test. In fact, Europe doesn't really view crash tests as an important thing except for a few countries like the UK or Germany. Another fact, they are actually in Europe and have been selling there for a while now but mainly in Italy. The only reason they haven't expanded that much is simply because of competition and the fact that it's too early for them to do so. There are a lot of brands in Europe that will kill Chery if they enter right now with VW being the biggest predator in Europe's vast range of manufacturers. And if you're wondering about America, just don't think too much about it because the US is very racist against foreign brands and their laws are very anti-non-American manufacturers and imports. It's the very reason why the cars sold in America are actually pretty shshhhttt and crappy as opposed to the cars sold in the rest of the world. Hell, I'd argue that we get better cars and choices than the US.
Parts availability is also an issue. Once Chinese brands fix that issue, then that's the time we can talk about these new comers.. As of the moment, Japanese brands are the safer bets.
not really. You can still experience parts supply lag from Japanese brands. In fact, it's not the fault of the brand but more on the individual dealers or CASAs here in the PH. If there's going to be a parts issue on Chery's side, it's most likely going to be a 3rd party manufacturer issue like the problems Bosch has in supplying parts for some cars which actually also affects the other non-Chinese brands. Another example would be the fckk up that Takata made, and that's with a Japanese brand. If we're going on a list of parts availability ranked as per country, it would look something like this. 1.) Japanese brands with Toyota being in the lead due to their vast network of suppliers. 2.) Chinese (it's shocking but the Chinese actually learn pretty fast and have started tapping into the Toyota supply line with GAC being a big example of this). 3.) Korean, they're one of the worst and a lot of their parts are very expensive as well. It also doesn't help the fact that much of their parts are Korean made and barely do they ever source from outside sources with most 3rd party manufacturers only supplying minor parts like windshield wipers, tires, rims, etc.. While the rest are either Kia or Hyundai parts. 4.) American, honestly it's the worst and you've got to got some deep pockets and quite the patience to actually get stuck with an American car brand with Chevy being the worst and Ford being the 2nd worst.
Calling a vehicle "8 Pro" is just ridiculous, especially coming from a Chinese manufacturer. Oh and the same thing for the sound you hear when you change drive modes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
