Perfectionism and shifting goalposts is something I've struggled with myself on my own project. Congrats on reaching this landmark. When you have an eye for detail, nothing is ever perfect, but sometimes good enough, is good enough 🤘
brother that line in the video was literally him explaining how he's going to milk the "baliscissors" as much as he can. "I don't think it's perfect so I'm doing 1 to see if I can sell it" yeah that's faker than a $1000 bill. He know's he can sell and he knows the product works he's made 30 videos about it to get attention and is now going to only auction off this cheap 1-2$ product for thousands of dollars because he baited people in and now everyone wants "the only one" for a ridiculous price. Why else would he be building this much attention before posting the auction link. It's so sad to see people not passionate about their youtube channel rather only want to make videos for money. Was a cool concept until greed was involved that made it sour.
I'm proud of you being able to leave the rabbit hole of perfection and give us a glimpse at a production model, even if it's only a single one. You've come way further than most!
I love the lock mechanism! When you finish making the Baliscissors, it would be cool to see a normal balisong using the button instead of the usual latch they have.
Don't worry about it not being able to cut fabric, since most of normal scissors often fail to do that as well! I think this is a great prototype and you definitely should be proud of it.
I'm positive the auction will go above what my pocket book can support. Super happy for you that you've made it this far. Excited that we're that much closer to seeing full production units
I still remember watching your first video about it it's amazing how much product design and how much better these look then your first prototypes congratz on making your first pair.
you're taking the time to make a quality product, you take pride in the work, learned from your mistakes, and now you're able to sell one, sure it is just one, but you can sell it and get a better idea on the price range, this is a good step

One of the coolest and most unique things on these new Baliscissors is the locking mechanism. It's so cool, you just press a button and they're closed, obviously no one has used them yet, but I hope the button doesn't scrap out like normal Balisong latches do. I cannot wait to buy one of these!
I’ve been following your Bali scissors creation for a while now, almost since the beginning. It’s crazy to see the final product and how far it’s come along. I think they’re great and definitely would buy one if you were to sell more. I think it’s a really cool and creative take on scissors that can also be used as a Balisong. And it’s cool cause it’s like a trainer since the sides aren’t sharp when using it to flip. Very unique and different. I always like new knives with different deployment methods or locking mechanisms. Seeing how people took a simple pocket knife that just opens and closes and created many different ways in doing so is fascinating
This is awesome news! I'm so stoked to hear that you have been making such great progress! I can't wait to be able to pick up a pair of Baliscissors for myself next year once you start selling them!! 🤘
i like that the button is prone to binding unless done properly having had knives with a button lock come open in my pocket i see this as a plus as the button still looks very easy to operate one handed

I've been watching this series for 2 years now, really enjoying watching your process and progress. Thank you for all the great videos, looking forward to seeing these on sale soon.
Yes! I'm looking forward to when you can start selling these. I don't use scissors much at all, but I'll definitely be carrying these. It's not often I need scissors and don't have them but these have such a huge cool factor
I wonder if they had sharp outer edges that they could also be a knife when in the locked "balisong" position. That would give them a little extra usage and I think a lot more people would buy them. They could be like a "utility" butterfly knife.

The fact that this design, puts the lock mechanism and the mode switching in the same button, is too perfect and since its not a knife, theres no bite handle, you also do remove the need for one handle to be different in some way, so you can do away with the latch all together, its actually brilliant and makes it soo clean
