Al Ahzab ayat 21 (Quran 33:21)says: "Indeed there is for you in the Apostle of God an excellent pattern of conduct for him who hopeth in God and the latter day and remembereth God much."
Also, Al Qalam ayat 4 (68:4) says:
"And most certainly thou standest on sublime morality."
Ahlul Bayt says the reference in surahtu Abasa (Quran chapter 80) is to somebody else who was present in the meeting in question and resented the presence of the blind man; the nomitive pronoun in the two verbs in verse 1 and the subjective pronoun in verse 2, and subsequently the other pronoun in second person in verse 3 and in verse 6 and verse 7 and verse 8 is referring to somebody else who was present in the meeting in question directly, and also to the other dignitaries indirectly, showing that what is wanted is the sincerity of the faith, irrespective of any worldly position or status. See Qummi's commentary.

I don't think this Surah was revealed about the Prophet (peace be upon him). After all, the Prophet treated even his worst enemies with kindness and forgiveness. For example, let's examine the manner in which he acted towards Abu Sufyan and his wife. Abu Sufyan was the main enemy of Islam, and caused so much harm to the Muslims; his wife, we must remember, ordered the assassination of Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib, and mutilated him. In fact, Abu Sufyan was not innocent in the matter, either. But the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him forgave them, even after everything they'd done. So, I don't think this Surah was revealed about him; but even If it was, the man did interrupt the Prophet, not once but constantly, and besides, frowning at a blind man isn't too bad - since he couldn't even see the Prophet frown.
Also, Abu Talib was a Muslim, not a disbeliever. When Muhammad was a child, Abu Talib took him along on a trading visit to Syria. When they reached Syria, a monk informed Abu Talib that his nephew, Muhammad (pbuh), was a prophet. Abu Talib believed the wise monk, and accordingly left Syria as quick as possible with Muhammad - who was destined to be the greatest prophet who ever lived, and ever will live; But the point is this: If Abu Talib didn't believe he was a prophet, why would he make haste to return to Medina? And when his son Ali accepted Islam, Abu Talib said, "Follow him (Muhammad), because he calls you to nothing except that which is good." Clearly, Abu Talib believed in the Message, and he defended the Prophet until the end. Never did he relent from standing firm for the cause of Islam, even during the boycott against the clan of Hashim. Abu Talib may or may not have declared his belief in Islam openly, but he did belief in it, and that belief manifested itself through its actions, because no one else but a Muslim would have gone as far as Abu Talib did.

Brother Paul, please don’t take the conventional narrative about attributing this to the Holy Prophet (saw). Aside from the point that this behavior contradicts what the Quran tells us about his character, it clearly doesn’t to refer to him since allow speaks of a 3rd person “he frowned and turned away” vs “you frowned and turned away”. 9:43 Allah pardon you! Why did you give them leave until those who spoke the truth had become manifest to you and you had known the liars.
      How about this one:
66:1 O Prophet! Why do you prohibit ˹yourself˺ from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Wallahi this is sad Muslims believe this ayah is about Rasulallah (sawa). First of all, Allah(swt) begins the ayah in 3rd person, and Allah (swt) never speaks to the Prophet (sawa) in third person in the Quran. There are two ayah's (3:49, 5:110) in the Quran that mention Jesus (as) cured the blind, yet Sunni Muslims believe Muhammad frowned (sawa) at them? Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray; (53:1-2).
I've never frowned at a blind man, but supposedly the person with the best akhlaq in history does. They put Prophet in parentheses, it does not say that in Arabic. When Sunnis see that our Imams and tafseer say it was Uthman ibn Affan they lose their mind and attack us for it. Put Uthman's name in parentheses and the rest of the following ayahs will make sense. Otherwise saying this was the Prophet(s) contradicts the Quran. Remember the Ummayads were in power when Islamic literature began because Omar's ban on hadiths was lifted. You guys didn't have any hadiths for a century.
You have too much Sunni influence and never have educated Shia professors on to kind of clear up a lot of misc9nception I think you've been told. ibn Taymiyyah is a nawasib and insults Imam Ali and Fatima (as).h you can see throughout minhaj al sunnah, and I doubt you are familiar with the real Ahlulbayt and only hear misconceptions on Shia beliefs.
Hear me out, I would read Risalat al Huquq (The treatise of rights) and al Sahifa al Sajjadiyya (aka The psalms of Islam). Actually a German Prof. Philip Wooley gave an English copy of the Sahifa to a Cardinal to take a to the vatican library in Rome, in which they said, "This book contains great mystical themes, so we place it for researchers in the best position of the library."
Both are beautiful books written by Imam Ali bin Hussain Zainul Abideen, Great Grandson of Muhammad(s)

I think most of what you've written is true. 😃 However, I think when we say, "The Shia views are all correct" or "the Sunni views are all correct" we inevitably cause trouble between the Muslims. I don't think Sunnis are correct on everything, and I don't think mainstream Shi'as are correct on everything either. But both have correct views and incorrect views. One example is regarding Abu Talib's conversion to Islam. He certainly did become a Muslim, but most Sunnis don't think he did - they're wrong on that point. Shi'as, on the other hand, are correct when they say that Abu Talib converted to Islam.
This is clear when we examine the following points.
When Abu Talib went to Syria, he took Muhammad (pbuh) with him. Once they arrived, a monk informed Abu Talib that his nephew would one day be chosen by Allah as a Messenger. Abu Talib believed the monk and almost immediately left, taking Muhammad with him, back to Medina.
If he didn't believe the monk, why did he make haste to return to Medina? It's clear that he that Muhammad was destined to be a prophet. Abu Talib always did everything he could for the cause of Islam; even during the boycott of the clan of Hashim he did not cease serving the noble cause.
Sunnis also say that Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali were all Rightly Guided Caliphs. They're completely correct in that regard, and all the evidence points to the First Four Caliphs being great Muslims. Ali ibn Abi Talib never stated that he was the only legitimate successor to the Prophet; instead, he instructed the people to choose the best, the wisest, amongst them. There are books innumerable regarding the First Four Caliphs, and they are overwhelmingly portrayed as great Caliphs of Islam - not as traitors or hypocrites.
In short, I think that if Sunni and Shia Muslims talked out their differences in a polite manner, and were actually willing to consider the possibility that some things they believe may not be true, then Islam would be unified again. :D And even if we can't agree on one view, then, at the end of the day, we're Muslims. It doesn't matter if we differ on some matters; anyone who believes that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger, is a Muslim. And we should unite on that unerring belief, if we are unable to unite on anything else. 🙂

@@sonic4528 i agree with you on Abu Talib and thete are many other things we should talk about, but Imam Ali (as) was apoointed caliph at Ghadeer Khumm by the Prophet(s). The other caliphs attacked his house and threatened to set it on fire when he and the other sahaba in it refused to give allegiance. Abu Bakr stole Fatima's inheritence. This is all in Sunni hadith. Do you want the sources? What it comes down too is how the caliph is chosen and whoch side can prove it by the Quran.
The Sunnis say the caliph is chosen by shura. Well Abu Bakr was chosen by Omar even when some sahaba refused, Omar was chosen by Abu Bakr, and Uthman was chosen by Abdul Rahman bin Auf after Imam Ali said he will only follow the sunnah of Rasulallah(sawa) and not the the Sheikhayn. Uthman was killed by sahaba who gave at Ridhwan. We believe only Allah(swt) can choose the caliph or Imam. Nowhere in the history of Islam has Allah(swt) allowed the people to choose.

@@sonic4528I am giving you only Quran qnd all Sunni hadith sources here. Also, you must've been lied too about this fake picture of Islam where Imam Ali (as) was at peace with everyone. Remember this so called ummah fought 3 civil wars against him.
Only Allah can choose for the people (28:68) Your Lord creates what He will and chooses (for His tasks) whomsoever He will. It is not for them to make the choice.
Now the reason I don't agree with the 4 rightly guided caliphs is because that would mean you are saying Rasulallah(sawa) died without announcing the successor Allah (swt) chose. They also are reaponsible for many bad things... Before the announcement of Ali ibn Abi Talib's Imamate at Ghadir Khumm this ayah was revealed Surah 5:67 O Apostle! Deliver what has been sent down to you from your Lord; and if you don’t do it, you have not delivered His message (at all); and Allah will protect you from the people …” (Qur’an 5:67).

The hadith is mutawatir and narrated by many sahaba. I just posted a few sahih sources but there are tons more.
Ibn Jareer narrates from Iqramah, “When this verse descended, Rasul Allah places his hand on his chest and said, I am the Warner, and then placed his hand on the shoulder of Ali and said, Ya Ali! You are the guide, and after me those seeking guidance will attain it through you.”
Ibn Murdayyah narrates from Abi Barzah (r), says, I have heard Rasul (saww) saying, that when this verse was descended, (I am a warner) while first placing his hand on his chest, and then on Ali’s chest (for every people there is a guide).
Ibn Abbas narrates, Rasul (saww) said, I am the warner and Ali is the guide (Surah 13:7)
Abdulah bin Ahmad in Zawaid un-Musnad, Ibn Abi Hathim in Tabrani fil-Ausat and Hakim in his Sahih, Ibn Marduyyah and Ibn Asakir narrates from Ali (as) saying: “Rasul (saww) read the verse then I said Rasul is the warner and I am the guide.” (13:7)
      Tafseer Dur al-Manthur vol 4, p 87
The following Sunni commentaries have recorded similar narrations under the commentary of this verse.
      1. Tafseer Ruh al-Ma’ni, vol 7 page 103
      2. Tafseer Tabari, vol 7, p 343 & 344
Now here are proofs for Imamate in the Quran, feel free to respond to show me that the Khilafah we had is in line with the Quran :
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And we made the Torah guidance for the Children of Israel. And amongst them We appointed IMAMS to guide [the people] by Our command, when they had been patient and had conviction in Our signs." (32:23-24)
This ayah right here shows that previously that Imam is a rank chosen by Allah (swt) and you don't have to be a Prophet to be an Imam.
      2. The day We shall summon every group of people with their IMAM, then whoever is given his book in his right hand -they will read it, and they will not be wronged so much as a single date-thread." (17:71)
Each person will be raised their own respective Imam ans their book.
      3. And We made them IMAMS, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practice regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only). Surah 21:73
      4. And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: “I will make thee an IMAM to the Nations.” He pleaded: “And also (Imams) from my offspring!” He answered: “But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers.” Surah 2:124
      5. And We wanted to confer favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them IMAMS and make them INHERITORS Surah 28:5
      6. (3:33) Truly Allah chose Adam and Noah and the descendants of Abraham and of 'Imran above all mankind.
Allah (swt) always chose the family to protext his message. Such as in Surah 2:124 where Imamate is Prophesized for Ibrahim's (as) descendents.
      7. (5:12) Allah made a covenant with the Children of Israel and appointed twelve leaders from among them and ˹then˺ said, “I am truly with you. If you establish prayer, pay alms-tax, believe in My messengers, support them, and lend to Allah a good loan, I will certainly forgive your sins and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow. And whoever among you disbelieves afterwards has truly strayed from the Right Way.”
Look at this hadith in musnad ibn Hanbal from ibn Masud Masrooq who said: ‘We were sitting with Abdallah bin Masood while he was reciting the Quran and a man asked him: O Abu Abdul Rahman, did you ask the Messenger of Allah how many caliphs this ummah will have?. Abdallah bin Masood said: No one has asked me this since coming to Iraq except you. He then said: Yes, we did ask the Prophet and He said, “there will be 12, the same count as the chieftans (nuqaba) of Bani Israel”.
Musnad Ahmed bin Hanbal, Volume 1 3593
The ayahs I posted all establish a precedent for Imamate in the Qura. All say
      1. They were chosen by Allah.
      2. appointed to guide the people
      3. Sent inspiration
      4. And inheritors.
My point to all this is the concept of Imamate is mocked by Sunnis, while they can't even justify the exiatence of their caliphate from tue Quran. We at least have a precedent

@@brahim-313 Not everything in history books is to be relied on :) For example, let's turn to al-Tabari. al-Tabari wrote a great history, titled the History of the Prophets and Kings. He collected all the sources he could find and compiled then together. He often gives more than one version of events. (For example, for the Battle of Badr, he records numerous narrations.) He even records conflicting narratives When two stories conflict, al-Tabari often selects the story that he believes to be true, but at other times he simply leaves the matter open to debate.
In short, there may be narrative recorded in history books that aren't necessarily true. But the old Arab chroniclers often used weak chains of transmission in the complication of their histories. As such, we shouldn't believe everything we read in such books, because although most of it is correct, not all of the narratives are accurate.
Abu Bakr and Umar never ruled by an iron fist, and they didn't threaten Ali and Fatima. The early Shias were basically Sunnis, the only difference being in that they supported Ali and his family over Mu'awiyah and his descendants. But Ali's supporters did not believe that he was the only rightful Caliph; they believed he was the legitimate successor to he previous Caliphs, and they thought Mu'awiyah was an usurper. The Ummah was not divided until Mu'awiyah and Marwan began to plot amongst themselves, causing division among the Muslims. It is recorded that Marwan, despite being shown forgiveness and generosity by Uthman, killed Uthman regardless.
The deaths of the first three Caliphs made it easier for Mu'awiyah and Marwan to deceive the Muslims. They made it seem as if rebelling against Ali was justified, citing the fact that he didn't punish Uthman's murderers. The reason why Ali refrained from doing so was because he did not wish to destabilise the situation of the Muslims; bringing the criminals to justice would have inevitably led to clashes between the Caliph and the tribes which hosted the murderers. Ali always held a high regard for Uthman; he even sent his sons, Imam Hassan and Imam Husayn, to protect the ageing Caliph.
It's true that past nations have had Imams; I personally believe that the Imams of Islam - beginning with Ali and ending with al-Mahdi, who is yet to come - are all great Muslims, rightful successors of the first three Caliphs. Consequently I view the Umayyads (starting from Mu'awiyah) as usurpers, many of them bring tyrants; the same for most Abbasids. But that does not mean we should denounce the first three great Caliphs of Islam, since they were great Muslims. Zayd ibn Ali, the son of Imam Sajjad, once said that they were indeed righteous Muslims, and that he had "heard nothing but good spoken of them".
Yes, you're right, the Prophet did announce that Ali was his Mawla - but this Arabic word has more than one meaning. One meaning is "Leader"; but there are various other meanings attached to the word, such as helper, ally, and so forth. It does not necessarily mean Ali is the Prophet's only successor - while indeed he was one of the Prophet's successors, it cannot be stated that he was by any means the only legitimate one.
Regarding the other Hadith that that Ali is the guide; I do not see any trouble at all with that being true, because Ali was a guide to the Believers. Abu Bakr and Umar often consulted with him on important matters.
To sum all of this up, this humble one will briefly outline his view of Islam. I believe that anyone who believes in Allah alone and that Muhammad is His Messenger is a Muslim, regardless of whether they're Sunnis, Shi'as, Sufis, or Salafis. I believe that the early Caliphs were all great leaders of Islam: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali. I believe that, after Ali, the Imams were the most worthy of becoming the Caliphs, although Ibn Zubayr would also have made a good Caliph too. But the Imams were the best of the Community, so they should have been selected to rule. The Umayyads and Abbasids were, for the most part, tyranical, but there were some good leaders among them (such as Mu'awiyah II, Abdul Malik and Umar II for the Umayyads; and some Abbasids too, like Harun al-Rashid. True, al-Rashid wasn't perfect for sure, but he was better than most, despite his flaws).
That's my view, and I sincerely believe that such a view is correct. I want to request that you consider the possibility that I'm right; I'm not asking you to change your views, but just ask yourself "What if..." You might realise that maybe, just maybe, your hatred against the first three Caliphs is unecersary. Consequently, that would mean that early Islamic history isn't as dark and grim as you imagined it. It's definitely worth thinking about a bit. 😃🙂 And even if you don't agree, no matter; we're both Muslims, and that's what counts. Peace be with you!

The verses itself is pretty clear about the situation and to whom the advice are for in the first place ..
It doesnt really need much interpretation to it .. or like you say that someone to fabricated the story behind it .. i say no .. its pretty clear cut verses .. u just need to read it in arabic if you know it ..

Salam Paul ; but I would stand here and defend the prophet ; cus just as what was said by the followers of Jesus went corrupted at times , same has to happen to us as this is the Sunna of days ; by studying Quran u find that what is written here is not at all befitting to the prophet who is a gentile prophet; the surat is fitting to the Jews / Pharoh / Human “ insan “ .. the word frowned was used right in a suret El Mudather , describing as well pharoh/ Jews / disbeliever. The word in its tense is in an affirmative state and followed by Tawala “ which is a worse description. The narrative is most fitting to the Jews who happened to have a “blind “ man in that case a gentile , coming to them with the revelation; same test is on to any human who discern the message of God belittling others with a prejudgment of ignorant which is the issue of Priesthood as ascribed in the epistle of Jude ; the word blind is an example of someone who does not know religion ; thus the sign of jesus peace upon him to cure the blind ; to a leaner Jew it meant only one thing ; the ones who don’t know religion as in gentile shall learn religion and the gentile prophet is coming ; same with the raising of the dead , same example of a deaf and blind is given in Quran for us on the same narrative ; Jews their issue was to have a revelation coming to them to follow from a gentile “blind “ nation received same reaction ; same with pharaoh toward Moses . To say this on the prophet is not only wrong cus the heart denies it but even the Quran and Bible and Torah all affirms the narrative of a blind to be the “ arrogant priesthood “ or the insan as how the ayat continues in suret 80 . And Allah knows best .
