So happy to have Coach Fran Brown lead the Orange! Can’t believe we got Elijah Robinson and Nick Williams joining his staff as well. Syracuse is about to be back on the map!!🍊
@@darinz7182 agree with u but we can't judge without what happens on the field bowl game will give us a little insight to what kind of head coach he will be
Coach looks like he needs some time to exhale. Welcome Coach! I am sure your mind is racing a million miles an hour since your hiring. LETS GO ORANGE! 🍊🍊🍊
Good luck coach! I hope for your good fortune and hopefully you can put Syracuse on the map and be a consistent top 25 team with the chance at some big-time bowl games and maybe a natty. Future is looking bright.
A natty!??!.. come on now, being positive is great but you gotta be realistic.... about the best su will ever do is 7/8 wins consistently with the occasional 9/10 win season sprinkled in..
Coach Brown.....what a better name than Brown to lead this team. Love his add ons with coaches, and right out the gate excited to see what he can pull out of the hat in recruiting to close this year out! Hopefully we get a few surprises and some of the late deciders to come our way. Transfer portal as well! NIL?
If you are cuŕrent or former staff, faculty, student of SU you know how incredibly competitive the University is academically in all it's colleges. Hopefully, Coach Brown will make the SU football brand respected again.
Coach Brown - Don’t forget Dick McPherson - he put Syracuse football back on the map nationally in the late to mid 80’s and I believe was responsible for bringing Paul Pasqualoni to Syracuse as an assistant coach.
Coach Brown seems like a disciplined tough competitor. I'd like to see him get a couple real strong bull rushing defensive linemen and a heady quarterback, that maybe starts a little rough around the edges, but gets better over time. Considering Coach Brown is probably getting a late start on 2024 recruiting and the portal, I think a reasonable bar for next year would be 7-5 or 8-4, while playing the losses close.
We need to hire are old strength and conditioning coach back,Mike Woicik or get him to come back and consult for us,No one could hang with us physically when we had this guy
Georgia pretty much recruits itself, recruiting to SU is an entirely different animal... not saying it can't be done but browns status as nations best recruiter will be tested.. bringing in a championship mindset and someone who's won the big one is a great place to start... if you build it, they will come (but this ain't Iowa lol)
So you're ok with his 20-45 record and his overall losing record? It wasn't a bad decision, after eight years enough was enough. Syracuse deserves to be consistently good year in and year out, not once in a blue moon good. I liked Dino but let's be honest it was time for him to go.
@@kevinrennie3856 This guy will do no better and no one else will schools in the northeast have no chance. Why come here when you can go to sunny Florida.
If Del Rio Wilson can throw for more than 37 yards against BC, Dino is still here. So whether the issue was coaching or recruiting or play calling, a change needed to be made. Preaching an aggressive offense and going for it on 4th down, then consistently settling for 50 yard field goal misses on 4th and short, a change needed to be made. I'm disappointed. I wanted Babers to be the guy. But he's had 8 years. Attendance and excitement was fizzling out. Something had to change and this was the change. Now, we're getting interest from kids who Dino and staff couldn't even get in the door. College football is money, whether or not it should be is a different issue, and you're either thriving or dying. Next realignment, SU needs to be included or our national relevance in football and basketball is finished. We need the money football brings in. Mediocrity won't get us there. Brown isn't a guarantee to get us there but Babers had shown he can't. The change needed to happen.
Fuck. Ok I’ll donate. This guy could sell ice to an Eskimo.
He had me at DeLeone. Welcome home, Coach Brown!
Im impressed with his history and connection to Syracuse and saying we are going to run the ball like the old days.
