I really love Ryan’s personality. Perfect for RUclips and I’m really happy he doing more of them. With all the buying local and where to buy, maybe Jon and you should be branding for the city, aka, city contract.
Hey Ryan! Always happy to see when a new video comes out! I know one thing that's been expanding my horizons on coffee has been Fellow Drops. They make really awesome gear and every week they have new roasters, so it might be something cool to get an even more diverse range of coffees and roasteries. Hope you and Joe have an absolutely wonderful day!
Ryan this was soooo relaxing and fun to watch! Very laid back and makes me wanna go to vancouver! The coffee shop looks so cozy, sick and just has a humble vibe compared to the bigger chains we have here in the US. Love this vid! Thanks for sharing!
That was fun. I was always stay with one type of coffee. Now i only drink tea. That is great to go around and show the small retail stores to help boost business. Good going guys.
here in Singapore, it is mostly, starbucks and coffee bean. wish we have more varieties to choose from. love all these small coffee establishments that adds more flavours for all the coffee aficionados in vancouver.
I spent 6 months in Singapore back in 2013 and there was litterally independent specialty coffee shop at every street corner or so. Only in London have I seen more. Has this changed since?
@@arnaudmarch788 there are some local independently owned cafes splattered all over the city state. but, due to high rentals and low foot falls especially during the pandemic. there are some cafe owners that were forced to shut down their business, only to be replaced by another new cafes or coffee joints. starbucks and coffee beans seems to be the only coffee companies that have a strong and concrete presence planted in SG!
Birds and the Beets & NELSON The Seagull -- there is also one that is SO good. little take out window -- believe its on carrall and Hastings? Aiyaohno Cafe !!!
Hi Ryan.. what delicious coffee and beautifully decorated shops and great food choice..you must be coffeed out as Joe laughed !!..thanks for the journey ... lol xxxxx
Hi Ryan, great video! Quick question, what are the reasons why you choose cortado as the baseline beverage for comparing the quality of each coffee shop you went to? I'm a simple coffee drinker where I usually order black coffee or Americano so could use a little more insight into the coffee world.
Just discovering this channel but recognize you from your bf's channel. Love seeing Vancouver life. We've been numerous times and think it's got a really special vibe. Possibly the most liveable big city in North America. SF is too dirty and hilly, LA is too sprawling and ugly, NYC is incredible but just too dense for long term living. We're in San Diego, love living here too for many reasons, plus we have an amazing coffee scene, but it doesn't have the same vibe as Vancouver. We're working on it though. Super happy to see coffee roasters reviewed, thx for this content!
I've lived in Vancouver most of my life (except for 3 years in Montreal). Traveled throughout NA though, including all the cities you mentioned. Happy you had the chance to visit here! Hope you got the chance to visit Seattle and Portland as well. They (along with Vancouver) are all about 2.5-3 hours driving from one another. All nice cities. Great if you're ever hoping to go somewhere in the summer, they're all extremely sunny and warm (but not outright hot) with very limited humidity. Really I can't think of another place on earth I'd rather be from June-August than the PNW. Salutes from Oakridge, Vancouver, BC
When I was in Vancourver as a student from Japan 30 years ago, Starbucks was the only coffee shop. Now I'm vegan. So I want to go to the cafe(the first one )Do they have vegan option? Anyway I really love to watch your channel !!!
I knew this list was legit when you started with Harken! Have you tried Iktsu Arpok? It is run by super friendly Japanese couple. They are currently closed since they just had a baby.
We got that a few years ago and love it. I thought we were pretty fancy spending $600 on a home espresso machine until some friends got the $2000 model and told us ours was a great "starter model..." But they said both machines are basically the same except the fancy one is more digital than analog. I love the round analog displays so much better. I also have a small coffee roaster that I play around with, but so far, none as good as what I can buy.
As an avid coffee fan, I loved this. The coffee scene in South Africa is pretty extensive too. Love trying new places on the weekend. Take my book along and try the myriad of places here in Johannesburg / Pretoria areas. Another great video, Ryan.
I just... don't like coffee... I don't understand how people do. Id rather have cocoa. But all that aside, I like to see you embracing and being excited about a new thing you like in your life. Live it up! have fun. oh, and your skin looks really good! are you doing anything new for skin care?
India is the lesser known coffee producer that gives fruity/sweet notes with less stringncy in after taste... you shohld coffee beans from india if you get the chance
All I know is that I have to have a cup of coffee in the morning before I even get out of bed. No exceptions. On the very rare occasion that I have a cup of coffee in the afternoon, I prefer it to be a cup of Irish Coffee....Hmmmm....and usually you need to go to a restaurant / bar for that one.
Awesome! Who could be better to recommend Coffe Shops than an unorthodox chef? Thank you, for sure more than one is included in my "to-do list" for my next time in Vancouver...
Hi Ryan! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 where are some of great wines, butttt I hope you are able to try coffee from my country Guatemala 🇬🇹 one of the best coffees!! And Rum 🍹🥰
Hi Ryan, I really like the video because coffee is one of my favorite beverage. You definitely one day have to try coffee from my country Colombia and I recommend you "Juan Valdez" brand.
Ryan this was soooo relaxing and fun to watch! Very laid back and makes me wanna go to vancouver! The coffee shop looks so cozy, sick and just has a humble vibe compared to the bigger chains we have here in the US. Love this vid! Thanks for sharing!

I love how Ryan lacks any arrogance in being a coffee lover but is actually chill and fun. Great video as always!
He is a lover! 🌹🌶️😇🏆
I love Revolver. It's one of my go-to coffee shops when I visit Vancouver.
The confidence of the blogger in front of the camera is 🔥🔥
Used to love the fruity coffee at Pallet when I lived in the Couv.

Yum yum, the food looks as good as the coffee too.
I love this video! Thanks for creating.
I enjoy your instructional cooking vlogs but this coffee vlog is great. All that caffeine I wouldn't be able to sleep for days.

Gotta visit Vancouver, if only for it’s coffee culture with those places you’ve featured that are worth experiencing.
Timber train was my go to when I used to work in gastown
I really enjoyed this video.
Love getting the restaurant/bar/coffee shop recommendations from you for when I visit Vancouver, Ryan! Thanks!!

Harken is the best.
Do any of these coffee shops sell cold brew? And are they any good? I like my coffee cold and strong
Hi Ryan! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 where are some of great wines, butttt I hope you are able to try coffee from my country Guatemala 🇬🇹 one of the best coffees!! And Rum 🍹🥰
Am I missing it or you didn't mention the name of the coffee that you ordered in all 6 coffee shops? May I know the name of each of them please?
Ryan, I'am colombian. Enjoy colombian cofee, the best cofee of the world.
Nice apartment
I would rule out "Their There" as an option straight away, because of the "No Laptops or Tablets" sign.
Unfortunately harken is closed 😢
Do people like cortado there?
Tim Hortons will always be my number one but I'm going to try these places when I come back.
👍💫✨✌️😎
