FREE GOLF is unbeatable!!! especially with how nice this is!! better then most public courses around me, some lucky locals over there…
Just played here for the first time this year! I live 25 min away too. Great course.
The fact that Adam the Director of Golf is focusing on improvements in the clubhouse as well, this is a gem. Greens are pure too, game on!
I live across the road
I learned to play on this course.
@@Noplexedits i know where you are .. i'll be knocking the door soon
I live close to this course and use it regularly. They do a phenomenal job with this course. We are all so grateful to have it!!!
This guys is very true, truly a blessing and thankful for the park for keeping it free for the community
does it ever get super packed? or is it in a pretty quiet county? i feel like i would love a free course but at the same time i feel like it would get absolutely packed by me everyday
@@whois_dev9314 mid afternoon it can get busy. However, being that it’s free, I may just go play 7,8,9 if it’s open or just hole 9. Whatever is open. Using common courtesy not to slow anyone down in any way, since they were there first. If they were to catch up, I just skip a hole to get out of their way, go check hole 1, hit up the practice greens, practice bunker, or hit the range. In other words, you get in where you fit in. You have to have etiquette out there. Being kind and patient is a requirement!
All that said, I usually go in the mornings and almost never have a problem.
@@whois_dev9314 as someone who lived 5 mins away his whole life. this year has been by far the longest waits
This is incredible
Grew up in New Castle PA. Played this course many times. The only issue I ever had was when it’s crowed it can be dangerous with balls flying everywhere. They really have improved it over the years.
We've been in NC since 2010. I just took up golf again few years ago, haven't played there yet. BP is def on my bucket list! Go 'Canes!
I play this course every weekend. My Friends and I always the first out on weekends play 18 done by 930 or so. Shout out to the man who has worked the course for years and keeps those greens beautiful Mark. The course will miss you when you retire this winter.
Wait is it closing permanently or just for the winter?
Dang you tee off at 6:30 in the morning.
@@brittbyler1092 yes first light
@therustbeltsportsshow Awesome this is free. Ever had any trouble with kids running around unsupervised (getting into mischief) or stolen equipment? I have heard that was an issue years ago. Wasn't sure if that is still a problem. Thank you. Very interested in the course.
@@Trevo7777b it used to close during winter but is open year round now!
Damn this is awesome man, I've always said if I was loaded my dream would be to make a free course so anyone and everyone could play. The game is changing man love to see golf becoming more universal, good stuff as always brother!
My first time golfing was on this course. I never realized how big of a deal it was when I was younger to have free golf. It wasn’t until I got in to golf more I realized that literally no other place does this. It’s a gem. Buhl Park next door is beautiful too.
A unicorn for sure. Love this place!
I cannot believe how pure those greens are. They're nicer than some of the $30-$40 golf courses around here lol great video as always, homie!
Could eat off those bad boys
Hey, Josh my town(Alexandria, LA) has the oldest par 3 course in the US. It's also completely free. Only 4.5 hour drive from Dallas. I'd love to play a round with you.
Picked up the game of golf here when I was 12 years old. Used to get dropped off with a few friends and play 18-27 holes. Also, used to get coffee or chicken broth for .35¢ out of the vending machine on cold mornings. Dum-Dums is a not so hidden gem! Greens are better than a lot of courses out there. I’ve driven every hole here except #2. I may have to go back to complete the challenge! Did I mention how nice the greens are ☑️ 😆 Looks like you enjoyed the course. I hope you took advantage of the opportunity and played another round! Nice putts btw, I’ll have to check out those lab putters.
Can't believe you got to meet Adam Scott
Nice round pal! I started watching around 158 views and it’s steadily climbing over 300! Nice work buddy! Keep up the great work!
Appreciate it brother!
I grew up within walking distance, my friends and I would call each other and just meet up down there before we could drive...or if we felt like going fishing, there was always buhl park's lake. Sometimes we'd do both in the same day. Summers were amazing.
Sounds magical
So cool to see someone you watch consistently all of the sudden play a course you do all the time. Great stuff man.
Appreciate it brother!
Go to Kauai, Hawaii, and play the Kukuiolono course in Kalaheo. $15 green fees, $15 carts, $10 rental clubs. Awesome course way above sea level on the island, at a massive price difference than other Hawaii golfing. Bunkers are poor/not many of them, but the rest is so much fun.
Used to live in the area and loved playing here. A lot of people in the area don't even know about it, a hidden gem! There's another course in nearby Cortland, OH that is only $5.
What course are you talking about being 5 dollars
@@jacobwilliams7625 Looks like times have changed. I was talking about the Links course. It appears to be $12 now.
This would be cool to have in every community!! Great video Josh!! Happy New Year's!!
This is a few hours away from me but I feel like it might be worth a ride. Looks like a nice course. If I ever hit it big this is something I’d like to do for a community. Free golf.
I have found a very inexpensive golf course in Scone, NSW, Australia. It is also first come first serve, just walk up to a tiny automated kiosk, pay your greens fees and go tee off. Cockatoos roam the fairways much the same way geese do here in the US.
I used to live 15 to 20 mins from that course. That was 12 yes ago. Now great video took me down memory lane. Hasn't changed a bit beside the club house
I was confused at first when I saw your thumbnail. The thumbnail clubhouse in the background is Reunion CC in Mississippi. A true gem in the south most don’t know about. If you’re ever in Mississippi and would like to go play out at Reunion or any other local courses in Mississippi give me a shout and I’ll hook you up
The community college in Kankakee, IL has a free course. It’s only about 4-5 holes I think.
Walnut creek golf course, jamestown Pennsylvania. It's free and only 20 minutes north of Sharon. 👍😊
Grew up down the road from there and definitely took it for granted growing up. Adam’s been doing great things with the course and it’s awesome to see more and more people out enjoying it
There used to be a golf course in Ohio that was $5 and only had a drop box at the parking lot. No one worked there, the owner would mow it.
There's a very unique 9 hole course I used to play as a kid in Walker Valley, New York, right on the main drag. About 90 minutes north of NYC in the Catskill Mountains. May want to check it out. My favorite from high school, not far away in Fallsburg, NY is Tarry Brae GC.
Alexandria, LA., has a free 9 hole par 3. Supposed to be the oldest Par 3 in the U.S. Bringhurst; come play it!
I wish more places would do this as I think it's a phenomenal idea! To help cover costs they could have a donation website, offer lessons, club rentals, cart rentals, restaurant and beverage services, events, etc....
They could ask for volunteers to cut grass, trim trees, do greens and a host of other things.
Emory and Henry College has a free course in Meadowview Virginia just outside of Abington.
Those pickled sausages are amazing! Don’t sleep! Cheers 🍻
Totally booking a getaway during the week so I can play there during my stay
Been waiting for someone to come here on you tube. Nice job.
What day were you here?
Last Wednesday
Alexandria, La has a free golf course called the Historic Bringhurst Golf Course. Its 9 holes all Par 3s and pretty nice.
I live 5 minutes away from here and absolutely love it!
Awesome video pal, watching from Southern England
Appreciate you!
Love your video, great pace great shots, do you mind throwing up some QR codes or logos or links on the video itself when you talk about your sponsor?
Solider hollow golf course in midway Utah that has 6 pars 3s 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s on the silver course and the gold course tips out at over 7700 yards.
Cool Creek in Wrightsville, PA, is one of the nicest public courses I've ever played. Don't forget to get a croc burger at the clubhouse. Such a solid course
Impressive greens and decently long. I am jealous.
Played many times in the 80's as a teen. Was originally 10 holes
Great subject for a video and an excellent video.
WOW. My dad used to take me there when I was little, while visiting my grandparents.
Came to your channel from Mood Swings & even though I’m not a golfer, really enjoy your videos!
Appreciate it!
Sick course
No way dude!!!! I live in Pittsburgh make the hour drive all the time!! That’s crazy to see it in n RUclips
Those greens are awesome better than almost every course I've payed to play at in SC
I would like to host you at one or two of a few neat tracks here in north Florida! I’m a golf course shaper and I absolutely love the quirky places
I usually just lick my rangefinder and it works…no need to lick the battery. 😅
I can only putt with center shaft putters. Can someone tell me what putter that is?
I can’t believe how good the greens look my goodness, I would just be torn apart if someone vandalized this course 😡 wish everyone followed golf etiquette, this is why we can’t have nice things
That course looks like it's in better shape than a lot of the courses around here...
Red Hot Bahama Mamas rock dood. You are missing out.
That is awesome. It is completely across the state from me though. :(
Love the video, this was awesome. Holy shaky camera tho...
My grandpa grew up he said him and his friends would just not go to school and golf
You almost in my neck of the woods, a little southwest, down interstate 81
I grew up around Sharon and played that course a lot
I’ve played here! So fun!
Amazing. Best place in America!
TIP on putting don't say ... " don't you dare don't you dare.!!

we have one in columbus, ohio love that this is a thing
Wait what? What's it called or where exactly? I neeed to know!!
@@teejaye110 blacklick woods metro park
I go here at least 2 times a week it’s awesome
I live close... to the place where those red pickled sausages are made. The company also does pickled onions, pickled pig feet and knuckles (yes, you can buy pickled pig knuckles), and pickled eggs. It smells about as horrific as you'd imagine. Ole Herb's Snack Foods!
Bringhurst Golf Course "Oldest Par 3 Golf Course in America" Alexandria La.!!! It is ALSO FREE to play!!!
What did you cut out before "membership fees" right at the start?
NO CART FEES.....we generate revenue from carts, range
You should try Hawk Point in NJ or Buffalo Creek in Tx both are nice courses
Hey keep it going love the idea of free golf for the walkers, I do have a bad course for you right by South Lake Tahoe California it's a nine hole course probably the cheapest in that area, but the bear sighting is free, has a lot of weeds on the greens, I read the reviews and knew what to expect so I thought it was fun. Bijou municipal golf course
You're absolutely right! The greens are immaculate. I paid $40 last week to play at a goat pasture that wished it had greens HALF as nice as those. BTW... Tijuana Mamas are awesome!!
Best free course in the uk is taking a bag of balls down to the field and aiming for different cluster of daisies 😂
Loved the video, but what's upp with the sound and camera hz? Looks kinda laggy
Yeah had some trouble with my mic. Sorry about that
Of course I live in PA but it’s still 4 hours way 😢
This place might be nicer than my local 9 that charges $31 with a cart 😂
The #1 thing this proves is that all those 'worst' course of a state videos you guys do, those courses have ZERO excuse to be as garbage as they are if this FREE course can look THIS nice...
Dude........It's a subsidized course.........
This course basically has a trust fund supporting it. The "Buhl Farm Trust" gives $600k each year........ You can search their public non-profit filings.
Most of the courses shown on the "Worst" series don't come anywhere near $600k in TOTAL revenue and this course gets donations, pro shop/driver revenue and possibly city/county funds on top of that.........
Most of those "Worst" courses are locals who took over some failed HOA course and are now in debt and still need to spend something around $1,000,000 per year maintaining a full 18 hole course.......
This is a course that may be "free" but it still brings in WAY more money than every course shown on the "Worst" series......
That course in Arizona he did was $15....... That course would have to average 100 paying customers per day for a full 365 days just to bring in the $600k this course gets in free money......
Yes ........ All courses can be much nicer if they are given almost an entire operating yearly budget in donations........
It's a 9 hole course that is open 6 months per year and gets $600k in donations..........
Frank is the man! Long live his memory.
I got excited because I live in pa. But I still live over 5 hrs away😢
Free courses should really be more common
right but we can’t even get free food or housing for the poor ☠️
I never comment on vids but Damn Josh you have the best golf channel on this platform mate love your work Josh keep it up
Just made my day. Appreciate it brother!
Buhl Park is on my "to play" list
Can’t recommend it enough
There should be free golf everywhere. Just like basketball, soccer, and baseball parks.
"Ran into Adam Scott". *Pause"
When will you be golfing in NJ!?
Played it a good bit, I’m from new castle
The utmost respect to this course
Mint greens
If you really want free-to-play with minimal start-up equipment required to play, pick up a couple disc golf discs and go throw those discs into the chains on the baskets at a local course!!!
Bruhhh I live near Sharon. Awesome spot🔥🔥
Such a fantastic spot
Apparently I live 15 minutes away from this place???
Day 1 of asking for you to play at diamond hill golf course
Man how I wish more courses would do this
Not the only free golf course in the world
You should eat the red hot pickled sausage anyways, I thought the same thing but they actually bang
How all physical activity and recreational activities should be, FREE! Especially GOLF which can be played by almost anyone.
Everything out in Pennsylvania lush i would love to live there, most of the food is homemade too.
Pickled sausages are so good I would lose just to eat it
6.5 hours away from me.....ugh gotta try it!!! 😂
Do it! So worth it
When the free course condition is better than any of your local 40 dollar courses 🥲
There is at least one more free golf course I know of
If donations were tax-deductible, cha-ching.
Pickled sausage is actually good.
Not sure if I can trust you Sean
Incredible
