How are you connecting to your TV? Bluetooth, AUX....? On my remote there is a button on the battery tray on the bottom of the remote. Press and hold the button in and use your fingernail to slide the battery tray out to get to the battery.
BumpBoxx has great sound BUT they made there are three HUGE shortcomings with their units: 1) None of their units have a display on the front. 2) Many of their units do NOT come with an FM tuner.

Do you have the ultra plus? I could only get mine to identify a few local stations, and they would fade out pretty bad throughout the day. Also, the interface of the radio feature is anger inducing. My solution is RUclips premium and Spotify premium, they both allow you to download songs so that when you are away from the Internet you will still have music. I hope this helps!

Ultra was mostly Gimmicky if you listen to rock, country, maybe a little bit of 80s Pop you’ll be good but if you try to listen to anything with bass like techno, hip-hop that speakers gonna sound like a set of blown ear phones and for anybody that’s looking into getting the biggest one I’m telling you the best way to go about it is to get two of the flare8 and pair them cause going stereo mode with a flare8. If I hadn't seen so many negative reviews on the Ultra the Flare 8 and the Freestyle. I would have probably dropped $259.00 on a Flare 6 when I get my second stimulus check. And $400.00 on the Flare 8 to keep at home as a System for the bedroom. So when I get my new place, I'll have a decent system for the living room. But after watching the negative reviews, I don't even know if I want to spend $259 for the Flare 6, Let alone $650.00 for the Flare 6 and the Flare 8. I'd rather just spend $500.00 to $600.00 and get one good speaker and be done!

Just to turn it on and think it sound like shit! I don't need a love piece of shit! I was thinking about getting the flare 8 until I saw that most bumpbox boxes with the exception of the flare 6 are made from cheap particle board! Including this one. I watched a couple of utube videos on the bumpbox ultra. One said it's made out of cheap particle board, They both said it came with stripped screws And the left speakers have a tendency to come loose in a couple of days of being carried around. 2 guys said their ultra didn't even last a full 24 hours before the left speaker quit working. Another guy said his had a high pitch screeching hiss! Even at 0 volume Said it doesn't bump and the bass is very distorted at high volumes The lights on the flare 8 don't work at all unless it's loud as hell. And the left channel/speaker has a tendency to go out on the flare 8 in less than 24 hours! A yet they charge $200.00 for the Ultra. $259.00 for the Flare 6, And the only reason I'm still considering buying the flare 6 is because it's loud and supposedly pretty clear And it's made of plastic instead of particle board. And it's lighter than the Flare 8 and up! $o your less likely to be bumping into shit when carrying it! That's probably really how the BUMPBOXX got it's name! Because the majority of customers are probably buying the ones I would buy if I wasn't in an 18 inch wide power wheelchair that I have to drive with one hand while holding the Flare 6 with the other. If I weren't handicapped and could carry heavy shit! I would get the Flare 8 for $400 because it's big and under 20 pounds. But it looks like it's a little bit too wide for a guy in a 18 inch wheelchair. But from the sound of it I should just save my money and not worry about having the loudest speaker. Because I have been wanting a loud clean clear bluetooth speaker. So I have been doing nothing but watching bluetooth speaker reviews. And just get me a JBL BOOMBOX! What attracted me to the 6 was sound quality is the video plastic build. Lighter weight. And supposedly it's stereo unlike it's mono brothers.
Do not buy this product for paying $300 for something it better come with crisp sound and it doesn't. Having issues returning the product plus they want a 15% restocking fee and that's probably what they pay to manufacture the product.

Because in all honesty the quality craftsmanship and sound quality is just as important to me as the aesthetic look of the exterior!

I was thinking about getting the flare 8 until I saw that most bumpbox boxes with the exception of the flare 6 are made from cheap particle board!
Including this one.
I watched a couple of utube videos on the bumpbox ultra.
One said it's made out of cheap particle board,
They both said it came with stripped screws
And the left speakers have a tendency to come loose in a couple of days of being carried around.
2 guys said their ultra didn't even last a full 24 hours before the left speaker quit working.
Another guy said his had a high pitch screeching hiss!
Even at 0 volume
Said it doesn't bump and the bass is very distorted at high volumes
The lights on the flare 8 don't work at all unless it's loud as hell.
And the left channel/speaker has a tendency to go out on the flare 8 in less than 24 hours!
A yet they charge $200.00 for the Ultra.
$259.00 for the Flare 6,
And the only reason I'm still considering buying the flare 6 is because it's loud and supposedly pretty clear
And it's made of plastic instead of particle board.
And it's lighter than the Flare 8 and up! $o your less likely to be bumping into shit when carrying it!
That's probably really how the BUMPBOXX got it's name!
Because the majority of customers are probably buying the ones I would buy if I wasn't in an 18 inch wide power wheelchair that I have to drive with one hand while holding the Flare 6 with the other.
If I weren't handicapped and could carry heavy shit!
I would get the Flare 8 for $400 because it's big and under 20 pounds.
But it looks like it's a little bit too wide for a guy in a 18 inch wheelchair.
But from the sound of it I should just save my money and not worry about having the loudest speaker.
Because I have been wanting a loud clean clear bluetooth speaker.
So I have been doing nothing but watching bluetooth speaker reviews.
And just get me a JBL BOOMBOX!
What attracted me to the 6 was sound quality is the video plastic build.
Lighter weight.
And supposedly it's stereo unlike it's mono brothers.
How is the bass though?
Bass is decent. Bass really picks up if you put box in corner to help out the bass reflex system.

Do not buy this product for paying $300 for something it better come with crisp sound and it doesn't. Having issues returning the product plus they want a 15% restocking fee and that's probably what they pay to manufacture the product.
Im sorry that happened to you. Mine was $100 and the sound is pretty decent. I hope they wave the restock fee since you are unhappy with the sound quality. Also let me ask, what did you connect it??? your phone, tablet and what type of music service do you use? Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify??? I connect to my iPhone using apple music and to Tidal when I use mu Hercules DJ Table...
This is the worst thing I have every purchased !! It does not get loud at all on full volume..!? I must have gotten a lemon because the radio stations will not stop I cannot set the presets, worst stereo ever unless mines a lemon
Yikes! Not to be mean but I hope yours was a lemon. Because I just ordered one before reading reviews and now it sounds like there's not much for bass and they charge you 50$ shipping to return it... then again for a 100$ item I guess I shouldn't expect too much and shouldn't have purchased it lol
