the boy's name is John Gallagher Jr and the girl is Jen Damiano. They were original cast members in the now-closed Broadway musical Spring Awakening. John played as Moritz Stiefel and Jen was the understudy for Lauren Pritchard who played Ilse. It's currently on tour now; you should see it, it's amazing.
Jenn is fabulous. True, she's not on SA anymore, but if you ever get the chance, you must see Next To Normal where she plays Natalie. It's an amazing musical and her performance is the definition of perfection, basically...haha. :D
The guy smiling on the stool is Steven Sater, who wrote the lyrics and dialogue. I'm assuming you know, but the guitarist is the composer, Duncan Sheik :)

I saw her at the June 12th show at 8 and met her after the show. She was amazing! I then saw Billy Elliot on Sunday, and although it was great, I feel as though Next to Normal got ripped off at the Tony's. I would see N2N again anyday!

Weird, Jenn sounds a lot better on the other videos of this peformance for some reason. I mean she sounds amazing but sort of flat in this video, maybe it's the camera.
