I had the Tipton Best Gun Vise, but lost it from flooding during Hurricane Ian. I was considering purchasing the Tipton Ultra Vise until I watched your video. I will follow your link to the Fire Teck Vise at Amazon and purchase it. Thank you and very informative review and comparison.

I got mine today. Easy instructions; excellent construction; strong material; great price on Amazon.. Cost less than the Tipton vise; but I its a good vise. It is also very heavy. No worry of your gun tipping over. Thank You God Bless!

Awesome! Glade it works for you. I've used mind to sight scopes, clean and upgrade weapons, and disassembly. I love mine.

Exactly what I needed to see. Fire Teck looks like the winner - will order it from Amazon.

Obviously a biased review. But the fire teck does look a bit better except no AR adapter.

I would agree but it is a better product so my honest review dies lean towards the one I think is best...as I think any review does. The AR adapter isn't necessary, IMHO, for either vise. Even without it, the vise will hold the weapon in place for whatever your doing. Both are good products but IMHO fire tech is better. Thx for watching

Thanks for the comparison. It appears to me that the Fire Teck is the hands down winner.

Nice review, thanks! I have the very first Tipton, even before the later Best gun vise version with the AR post, and it’s ok, holds the rear of the stock but the forend shifts and rolls, so it’s not that stable. I also have an AR post block I can fix in my regular vise, so not having that feature isn’t an issue at all, just need stability for cleaning and scope work. This is also $60 _less_ than the new Real Avid Workstation, with the same adjustment features, and $10 less than the Tipton. I’d never have known about this Fire Teck model without your review so appreciate the comparison to the Tipton Ultra. 👍

A con on the fire teck is the left handed threaded vise knobs and the adjustable feet I had to put set screws in the knobs so they wouldn't back off but other than that I love it.

Hello, do you know a company contact for fire tek support? Need some instructions directly...

The big problem with the fire tech is those knobs not only tighten easily they also loosen easily. Tiptons is hard to turn for a reason. Also fire techs other issue is with the leveling mechanism. You ignored the fact that since it adjust with notches you're not going to be able to get it 100% level in all situations. God bless

I didn't or haven't had any of those issues. Using the "feet" and the braces, I had no issues zeroing my rifles and leveling the firetech. I do appreciate your input. Beautiful Buck by the way. Happy hunting

@wanderingthewilderness thank you. I've had hands on with both but ultimately I chose the CTK P3 Gun Vise. It's solid steel and can be uses as a gun vise or shooting rest with a quick change of the optional attachment piece. I've been luck to be able to shoot with a bunch of guys and able to see a lot of different vices.

Real avid just came out with one. I’m looking for a vise bench to torque down castle nuts and for cleaning. Will these work? Real Avid also has a "speed stand" which is extremely compact.

Yes I do believe either one would work. I do prefer the fireteck.

All that extra part does is go inside the magazine slot on the rifle. It isn't a necessary item. The to areas that grip the rifle are adjustable so if your working on the lower you can slide them closer to one another and clamp in. Jmho
