i remember when i’d obsessively listen to this song when i was 12 in a hard home situation while i daydreamed abt the day i finally got to move out. never felt realistic but the dream kept me going, i was rly struggling n told myself repeatedly i’d move out at 16 n everything would be okay even tho i only really half believed it. i did just that, i turned 16, lived in a friends place they never actually used since they were living with their partner, then a few months later got my own home that i still live in to this day. just randomly remembered this song existed n that it use to be what kept me going. i did find my home and i did end up okay, more than okay actually my life is more than i could’ve dreamed of now. 12 year old me would be proud that i did it and proud that i remembered this song again:)

And it is true by the way, we might get hurt, break down, lose some battles and come out with a heart full of scars... But in the end, these scars make us who we are today.
