Another really brilliant podcast, it is great to hear about the complexities and challenges from the different markets. On the podcast series so far, in terms of flow battery systems, we have had talks with Vanadium and Zinc Bromide flow system providers. Would it be possible to hear from ESS inc? They have a an Iron Salt based technology, potentially I have missed this talk if it has already been done, but it would be interesting to hear further about this technology in the US market. Thank you
Makes sense that you can move your obligations without basis as ancillaries are used to provide extra capacity for frequency response of the whole grid so you get only one price for the capacity in Day-Ahead. What’s cool about it is you get paid in Real-Time for the energy you provide so like he says you can move the obligation to another asset and get paid a bigger Settlement Price.
