    I wonder what Koopman would've thought about seeing his work become more relevant than ever over 90 years later. I suspect that he wouldn't be surprised. This is the guy who applied mathematics to the task of hunting submarines, so he knew that his abstract scribbles on a chalkboard had a deep connection to reality.
