Thanks! Although I am aware that a lot of wives will never get this, and understandably so. I am not encouraging seamen to seek other women while in port. I do admit some do, but a lot of seamen still don't give in to temptation. It's just the reality of things and it depends on the individual to handle the situation.

In the US Navy, they made us go ashore for our girls. You could bring one onboard for a tour but they kept close watch to make sure she left. But I echo Chief's sentiment about just being with them, conversing and enjoying each other's company. I met quite a few that we just had drinks, ate and talked.

Transiting the Suez Canal a couple of men came aboard with the pilot. They laid out a blanket on the fantail and started selling souvenirs (this was the 80's).

Can't blame the guys at all... They're young and fit, isolated on the ship for months, and the girls are absolutely stunningly lovely and willing.... Consenting adults...

    • @Dayvit78

Agree. On the other hand, when you're married, you need more than just your own consent.

    • @DJ-bh1ju

@@Dayvit78 I was thinking of the single ones. Yeah, if you're married like the Chief is, then you're obligated to a certain level of restraint.

    • @seeker296
      @seeker296 2 года назад +2

their consent might be somewhat muddied. If these girls are prostitutes (very common in Thailand), they may not be able to feed themselves/family if you do not pay them for sex. Idk if I personally consider that consent. Arguable.
anyway, just nit picking. I agree with you :)

1:45 - For those of viewers who never experiences _real_ traditional Thai massage: it is really provided by ladies (like the one breaking our Chief apart) who could easily break your every bone if they chose so, it borders on torture, and after it you feel a man reborn.

Sailing, Swimming, Surfing are perhaps more fun. The Maritime Labour Convention is worth being aware for Merchant Ships and Fishers. The health of Seafarers is important as they need to be fit and healthy to pass the strict Seafarers Medical required to work at sea.

Years ago, when working for a dairy farming project in Thailand, I went to Klong Toei port in Bangkok when they received a shipment of dairy cows that had been bred in NZ. once the ship berthed, first on board was a Mamasan, followed by a bevy of beauties, who quickly got down to business. Meanwhile, customs officials and police followed, and the next lady was from the bank financing the deal. "Arrangements" were made for a police escort to accompany the cows, in a convoy of about 50 trucks, to the project that day, without having to go through the paperwork that would ordinarily have been required for each animal. The ship left port the same day.

First time, I went on ship to Haiphong( at Anchorage), Vietnam ( year 2000). The Captain asked all crew to stay away from the girls as they're having respiratory disease. Chippy of our ship disregarded his orders and made love with a girl for 4-5 days. After sailing from Vietnam, Chippy got sick and was isolated. At Tianjin, he was hospitalized and announced dead after 2 days.
    Second time,
I visited Haiphong for inspection of Tug boat ( Year 2013). The city is beautiful and lots of places to see. Pearl farms, Cave City and beaches which I still remember. I also went to Ha Noi, capital of Vietnam. There are many places to see.

Chief Makoi its been going on for years, I loved bunkering ships and also doing petroluem discharges. Often I was invited to parties on board the ships and had a great time. We called the girls boaties or boat girls, when as a youg teen in my first job back in the mid 60s the girls I worked with, I was in womens hairdressing and many of the girls had boy friends on foreign vessels so it was excitement when their ship came in port. I saw some really funny things while bunkering, but mostly it was fun. I had a brother in law who was an engineer on Blue Star vessels some his stories were funny again I talk about the late 60s 70s. Something I loved was when sailors had shore leave and often some wanted to see around the town where were the best bars etc and so would meet up and take them about the place in their short time ashore

mdming seaman's wife ang mgglit dito 😁😷 but this is reality. as long as they know their limitations and priorities, hndi ako 100 % sang ayon sa vlog na to sir haha kc mhrap dn ang responsibilities ng seaman's wife pero hnd ganyan ang way namin ng pg unwind 😂we don't seek for anyone's company just to unwind. pero at the end of the day,ang mahalaga uuwi sa akin ang asawa ko nang buhay at walang sakit. Part ng pgiging seaman's wife yan, dapat matibay ang loob. Just always pray for the safety of our spouses onboard.

Yes hati talaga ang opinion pero ganun talaga. Pinakita ko lang kung ano ang meron. It's up to the individual to see it as he/she wishes. 😀

Ariane Malaluan huwag ka ngang ganyan, ang lalake na seaman ay nag wowork hard, syempre kailangan din nilang mag release ng tension, Kaya Hindi namin kasalanan kung may nakipag na babae.

HI there! First of all - LOVE your videos! A true eye on what life at sea means in this day and age! However, working for a big crew manager myself I am really surprised to see that your company allows you to post this kind of content online. Not that its bad or anything but this would be unthinkable with our owners.

    • @ChiefMAKOi

Our company's social media policy does not prohibit posting. We try to instill responsible social media practices among our crew instead of outright prohibiting it.
