The 2022 Pro Motocross season is officially a wrap and it ended with one of the hottest and roughest races of the 12-round season. While Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence were busy clinching Championships, MXA test rider Josh Mosiman was out there trying to survive the heat himself. Although he came up short of scoring a Pro Motocross point in the 2022 season (23-21 scores for 24th overall), he still logged a personal best for this season. With temperatures in the 105-degree range, Josh Mosiman, mechanic Josh Fout, 250 rider Brian Medeiros and the rest of the crew had their work cut out for them. This video documents the hot day of racing and features a funny interview with Mitch Payton at the end.

Way to go Josh! These race videos are fun to watch and give great real world insights into racing a National. So close to scoring points! Looked like the silencer insert came flying out of your exhaust at 5:18 point on your qualifying start....maybe a new secret MXA start technique or was it done to keep Barcia behind you?😉

@@joshmosiman1955 I'm hoping to meet the Josh-squared team next year at a WORCS event!
-Dude, just want to say that you really are an inspiration to guys like me on how far the human heart, mind, body, and soul can go, and you are also a great witness and testimony! -I'm a 34 yo disabled veteran (got a brain injury that caused type II Narcolepsy, seizures, neuropathies, headaches/migraines PTSD, Severe Depression and more - 100% rated, and medically retired after getting out from honorable service from 2005-2012), and just want to say that the past 5 years have been tough, but the joy and hope you and the channel brought has been so positive for me! -I was ready to quit life at 330 lbs, body/muscles atrophied, 10+ medications overrunning my mind, and quality of life in shambles...God gave a vision to ride dirt bikes again, and helped me save to buy and pay off a 2019 TM Racing EN300ES 2t, and a 22 Honda CRF450R-S (that I've built into an RX), and have got to modify both a decent amount while I did the work in therapy with the VA to modify my body and mind...your love and passion for God, off-road motorcycling, and life altogether has been instrumental in helping me FIGHT for a life and now I'm down to 250lbs! -Even though my injuries are life-long, I stopped making excuses, take my amphetamines before riding and working out, work hard, pray, and stay positive, and RIDE every chance I get when emotions and physical/mental pain are high. My friends who are gone are probably proud that I didn't give up to the pain, and found something I'm passionate about - you've taught me a bunch from magazine articles, to videos, to being a spectator of your skill and technique at every race you compete in!
I apologize for writing an essay, but just wanted to express my gratitude for your hard work on these media platforms - you make more of a difference than you even know, and there is no question God has you in the exact position he has destined you to be in - your life and work has VALUE, brother! Thank you again, for your inspiration and insight in the off-road motorcycling industry...without having your guidance, instruction, and insight I could've very well just committed suicide years ago without seeing how great life really could be again with getting outside and performing physical activity and labor on a motorcycle! I seriously lost every bit of hope, passion, and joy, and you & MXA were one of the first to get the ball rolling in my head that I could do such a thing - then seen paraplegics riding and couldn't make any more excuses - it was time to set goals!
You getting 21st at Fox II as a media guy and test rider gives me that much more motivation to keep pushing to get that much better at riding, and get in better physical, mental, spiritual shape. Appreciate you, bro - your work is appreciated by many!
I hope my story gives you that much more motivation to keep racing...I believe you could easily be a top ten guy with the right machinery and workout program, cause you literally come in with bare-bones machinery, and little to no preparation, and straight kill it with getting early 20s and late teen ranks with not taking it so seriously, and just enjoying and embracing the competition. -You are capable of doing so much more!
