I have this exact model car and the exact same issue. The red security light in the front stays on when I put the key on put it in the on position. Makes a cranking sound like it really wants to turn over but never does. Do you think I could have a bad coil?
@@RobertDotterer it's behind the center console it looks like some type of electrical sensor it's replaceable I believe..... when I run my scanner it says the error code and says "different key"

No way of knowing without doing some testing.
Did the new ignition barrel also have the “broken” piece? I’m pretty sure they look like that factory.
No, didn't replace the cylinder, only the antena ring
great video , have you change the coil ?
