They used to have private picnics at Wenona Beach. One time I sneaked into the Eaton Manufacturing picnic. I entered the pie eating contest and won third prize. I won a dollar.

I was very young when I rode the Jack Rabbit. It was a short ride, but what a thrill for a seven year old child!

Very nice! Being from Bay City but born in the 70's, I used to go there but did not know the history behind it. Thanks for sharing.

took our annual school 'picnic' out there. remember as a young girl going out there w/ my parents to see 'The Ink Spots; a popular group in the mid 50's. LOVED that Jack Rabbit. Is it safe to go in the water these days?

The water is fine, but wear some kind of foot protection. There is a lot of debris.

Nice to see a part of Bay City history, as I was born and raised there. Only complaint was the narrator-very jumbled, no annunciation, difficult to understand!!
