No one will probably read this but I totally get this video. I used to get followed around the shops too when I was just 12 years old. It was so horrible. I have never stolen anything in my entire life nor ever would. I grew up in the 90s when racism was only just starting to become 'non-pc'. The thing is, I am 'only' 25% aboriginal but half my family are of aboriginal heritage and I grew up in that culture. I had friend's parents refuse to let me in their house because I might steal something and I was unfairly painted as a bad influence. I was refused entry to the local army base to see my dad because 'abbos aren't allowed on the base'. I was segregated at school with other aboriginal children to attend 'deportment and grooming' classes to teach us personal hygiene and morals. The FUNNY HILARIOUS thing is when people ask my ethnicity and I say aboriginal, I get told that I'm not aboriginal enough to be considered aboriginal. People tell me 'you're not REALLY aboriginal ....". EXCUSE FKN ME? I was aboriginal enough to be treated like a second-class citizen for the first half of my life but now that things have changed (become less OUTWARDLY racist, but still pretty much the same level of racism) ... I'm WHITE and trying to scam the system by saying I'm aboriginal. HAHAHAHA. BTW - I have never gained any kind of advantage by claiming to be aboriginal. When I am asked the question on any kind of surveys or forms or whatever, I refuse to answer because even asking the question, in my opinion, is racist. The composition of my genetic ethnicity is not relevant to almost any situation. The only person who should be concerned with my ethnicity is my doctor. I am a human being and that is the only box I will ever tick. It's a shame that so many Australians are still so racist. FACT.

Ah.. Yeah well all the little halfcastes i kew would go on stealing missions every time they went to the shops.. Was fun just going and biting the apples in woollies and putting them back.. They use to steal batteries, chewing gum, drinks and anything else they could ge ttheir hands on.. From 60 people i can say 20 were shoplifters and probably 5 of them were seripus habituial theives who probably cause millions in damage over their lives.. Sure not all of them stole but a big portion did and a good persent were just irredeemable. One kid stole more than 60 cars over afew years.. Burning them for fun

I'm not a racist, I'm not that stupid. I'll tell you what though, every single time I go in to town I get harassed by aboriginals who want my money and cigarettes and they usually try and fight me as long as I am by myself and outnumbered by them. After years of putting up with that, if that's not going to cause someone to 'stereotype' a race of people I don't know what will. I can't see this cycle ever ending, don't have room to explain it, but yeah it's not going to change any time soon that's for damn sure.

Im laughing at how some people seem to always blame someone else for an individuals problems. The government wants to hand out money to people and make them feel helpless, depressed, addicted and to install hopelessness? What a joke!!Is that why they assist aboriginal people to buy their own home is it? Thats why they handed back large tracts of land back to aboriginal groups only for them to sell them to mining companies? The blame for someone sitting on their ass and not getting anywhere in life is,wait for it, THEMSELVES!! So with the "poor me" syndrome and exploiting the system and they might, just might, actually move forward. As far as genocide? Show any evidence there was a government policy to wipe out aboriginals.

I'm in the unfortunate situation whereby the local Indigenous population gives all Indigenous people a bad name. Accumulating outside the local methadone clinic, the local railway station buying drugs and smoking, shoplifting from the 7/11 and bowling over the elderly and disabled as they scream through the streets on their bikes and they determine how all are viewed. But when they scream abuse as you pass and demand money and cigarettes, maybe you shouldn't expect everyone will view you favourably.

My youngest Aboriginal God daughter was at an all you can eat restaurant in a very racist town she went up to the desert bar with her perfectly groomed hair and new fairy dress and was stopped by the waiter. She could not eat from the desert bar that I had paid for... she cried so I went to ask why and said she had paid. That wasn't the reason. The waiter thinking I was on his side because I was white let his racism hang out. He said 'we usually don't let the black kids eat the deserts cos people have complained they wont eat here if the blacks touch the food....' it was 1998 not 1788. She was 5 years old. At 8 she couldn't spend her birthday money because the shop assistant assumed it was stolen and was going to call the police. Then at 10 she couldn't try clothes on in a store because people wouldn't buy the after being on her body. Three times in my time taking her out into the community. Three times it was assumed she could not be with me the well groomed expensively dressed white woman so people revealed their ugliness thinking I shared it. Yet she has gone out thousands of times when I am not there so how many other times has she faced this. Every time I wanted to start a riot for this child her mother would say' nahh leave it... why? Because she has to live in this town. The problem in this country is not racism. It's oppression. It's the master and the' house slave'. If you are good and make no trouble you can live in the big house and eat our scraps in the kitchen. If you are a 'slave in the wood pile' rebelling against harsh conditions you will be beaten down until you are subdued. The master feels benevolent towards his 'house slave' so falsely believes he is not racist; and thus a protesting outspoken 'slave in the wood pile' is seen as a trouble maker, an abberation. If we want to end racism then we have to stop the whole 'house slave' survival of forcing conformity in ways that in reality we never had a right to... who said just because we had superior gunfire that made us the superior race... why weren't we humble enough to look for what is valuable in First Nation culture instead of repressing it... I'm sure our environment would be a lot healthier, less greed, and so on.

iamatardis if Aboriginal people didn't slave for the whiteman to develop the cattle industry, pearling, whaling etc you wouldn't even have an economy. If blackfullas don't show governor Macquarie where the coal was you wouldn't have a thriving coal industry. If aboriginal people didn't show the famous explorers how to find water and food and negotiate with other tribes not to kill them with spears, you wouldn't even have a country. Then when we fight for equal rights to have equal pay to the white man guess what? White men stopped "employing" Aboriginal people because now they couldn't get them for free. Then fucktards like you who have no idea about any of this history will say get over it it happened in the past- well so did WWI and II and Vietnam but there's still a lot of people still getting over it. Go read a history book and see if you still have the same ignorant view. If you think you know it all and cannot be pursuaded this is the last time I will waste my energy on you- BOOM!!!

    • @iamatardis
      @iamatardis 5 лет назад +1

@@SonicNomadGLS A history book huh? Oh, read all this to the end. You are gonna love it!
I was educated before inconvenient truths were removed from the education system.
I'll start with white men SAILED here from halfway across the world, using navigation instruments and star chart navigation systems to get us to where we wanted to go, ship building techniques, and systems of government to fund and build such vessels, and allocate the required talent to crew such ships. Captain Cook was funded by the British government for an astronomical endeavour to observe the transit of Venus when he convinced the Skipper to land. He was made a 'Captain' (posthumously) to assure more funding for his second of three journeys. He was just an astronomer, not a qualified Captain.
And please tell me how 'Aboriginals' would have defended Australia from the Japanese Imperial Navy if the British didn't develop Australia first? Spears and boomerangs?
As for an economy, that is a white man thing too. Just saying.
The cattle industry, pearling, and whaling industries (you know, economies) were well under way BY WHITE MAN millenia before Terra Australis was named. The 'slaves' of which you speak were housed, fed, and clothed, for they could not do that for themselves. They worked for their keep AND were also paid. But one could not divulge that now could one? That would go against the career Aboriginal narrative of the modern victim.
Ok, that's a WTF moment right there. SHOWED Macquarie where the coal was? Showed him? What? Again, modern civilisation involves education, industry, development, EXPLORATION, inventiveness, resourcefulness, and most of all brains. Did Aboriginals invent excavators, shovels, bulldozers, scrapers, haul trucks, exploratory mining techniques, surveying, deep well mining, oil rigs, the textile industry, power generation, the internet, cars, a petrochemical industry, universities, roads, hot and cold running water, sewerage systems, mobile phones, satellites, rocketry et al? Um, no. Aboriginals had NO part in any of it. NOTHING, but crying career victim. You are an ungrateful lot.
The unfortunate part of it all is EXACTLY because Aboriginals are the lowest I.Q black population on the PLANET, and it shows. Look it up. It is an unfortunate fact, but the career 'Aboriginal' doesn't understand facts. With an I.Q average of 60 that is not really surprising. Are you ashamed of that? You should be but you are not, just aggressive which goes hand in hand with low I.Q individuals and groups i.e. aggressive behaviours, low impulse control and violence. There is a way around it. Get smarter. The government has been throwing you 30 odd Billion dollars a year for decades and what are you doing with it?
Do you actively strive to be better and get other Aboriginal people around you to be better or just play the victim as always? I know the answer to that, but you ask yourself. The answer is in the majority of 'Aboriginals' behaviours.
As for survival in Australia, there most certainly was violence from both sides, most certainly, but white man, with superior technology stopped the violence. There was no wholesale slaughter as you would like everyone to believe. If it was how you try to tell everyone then you wouldn't be here to tell that story. Funny how that works isn't it? Australia is run by white people. We don't have a country you say? Critically thinking people such as much myself will call you out on it EVERY TIME.
White people (who run all the money making businesses, name one long term successful Aboriginal business) do not hire Aboriginals because they don't turn up, and are unreliable, or under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, if they do at all. I say that from experience. It never works, ever. Everyone gets paid the same. Don't pull that equal pay bs. That's something you've been told with no proof because there isn't any.
'Aboriginal' is Latin for 'Ab' = Not, 'Original' (same in Latin and English, Not from the original biome.
'Aboriginals' descended the land bridge about 32,000 years ago, and upon entering Cape York Peninsula encountered the Negritos, an ALREADY ESTABLISHED population that the INVADING 'Aboriginals' (who, at the time, were cannibalistic and warmongers) proceeded to kill and eat the Negritos in their entirety. That would be genocide wouldn't it? Wouldn't it? Genocide?
THEN, after THAT they filtered through the nation encountering the Pygmies also. guess what happened to the Pygmies? 'Aboriginals' killed and ate them too. Yeah, that is genocide on two fronts. No way! Yep, and ALL the megafauna that used to exist here too. Wombats a metre tall, kangaroos 8ft tall et al. Your mob ate the lot, just moving from area to area devouring everything. In that time, what did you bring to the evolutionary table?
      NOTHING.
Don't even try to claim to claim the boomerang. That hunting 'technology' is of Egyptian origin. Look it up.
'Aboriginals' have done nothing for anyone, not even themselves, except take, destroy, steal etc like they have done to each other for millenia. The modern world awaits your entry into the 21st century.
Name ONE thing that 'Aboriginals' have contributed to this world that doesn't benefit career 'Aboriginals'?
      First Nations People huh? Bullshit.
350 'Aboriginals' dialects across the entire country. 350! WHITE MEN counted those. The black fella never knew until white man told him. Now, you speak Queens English.
      You're welcome.

So true! I hate shopping or going to town in general due to the social racism entrenched within Australian society. You can just feel your being watched like a hawk, then before you know it, they are circling ya like vultures.
There's too much negative energy out there towards us, and I make my trips in town short and sweet, to prevent the 'Energy Vampires' from draining me for my good, positive, loving energy.

I am light-skinned and my cousin is dark, we went into a shop and the lady walked up to us and said " HEY!, better not take anything" I couldnt stand it, so i said back to her " WHY would you think thats about us?, you took our land, you built all of these shops and roads where our ancestors walked, you should be greatful that there is still Aboriginal elders around to tell us young ones about the land before ay." all she said after that was " im sorry, i didnt realise" and walked off

It was kind of funny and well done. But it is really crappy when people are judged in real life because of their race. I have a white Kiwi friend who's a real klepto. I don't shop with her any more cos I don't want to get into trouble with her. Check out Billy T James on line. He was a Maori comedian who would make hilarious skits about racist stereo types in New Zealand. I think sometimes laughing at these stereo types is a good way to show just how stupid racism really is.

This is true. I am aboriginal and I got told to Empty my pockets in a store when I wasn't even stealing. I am SICK AND TIRED of being accused of stealing because most of aboriginals fuck it up for the rest of us. We don't have a good reputation. We get judged based on the stereotypes and roomers that go around Australia. It's sickening and needs to be stopped. I REFUSE to raise me children in a racist environment where we can't even shop like proper white Australians. I know a majority of us steal but I am not them. It sickens me.

LMAO Musashi took it abit far but Crispeh, you gotta relax man. Stereotypes don't just affect you guys, maybe a bigger percentage of you guys do such things, but everyone else is judged day to day in their own races as well.
Indians are seen as annoying, Asians are drug dealers. it's everywhere.
I was on my way home from work at a shopping centre, on the way to the carpark, 3 13 year old kids asked me for cigarettes. There was one Abo, an Asian and an Aussie.

"I know a majority of us steal" That is exactly why you are being checked. It is because the 'majority' give the good part, like yourself, a bad name. And people have this warped view then that every aboriginal they come across will be the same. I have aboriginal friends, they are all lovely people. If the majority of white people stole, had tendencies to get drunk/high/angry in public, then we would get checked and discriminated against also.

It doesn't matter that I pay tax's like everyone else or that I make my own money through hardwork. Without my makeup on, it's easy to see that I'm cree and being Cree means that... well you know the stereotype... Anyways I hold no hard feelings towards people doing their job, infact if I was in their position I'd do the samething to them jk! As if I'd sink so low to do the same thing.
